That's okay, Dee.

There will be a new list next week. Maybe you'll find something there that will work better.

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments ok, so I lied...my library had Tangled Up In You and if its like the other rachel gibson's i've read, while they are a series, they can be read as stand-alones...so i'm going to try it

I am reading this next Sandy, glad you liked it! I think there is a sequel, Love, Stargirl

message 69: by Ms.soule (last edited Nov 07, 2010 06:15PM) (new)

Ms.soule (mrssoule) Finished Brazen - this was okay. The plot seemed very slow without the characters being more engaging. By the time the guy who resisting his true love came around I was so over him already.

Lynne (lovetoreadgal) | 1182 comments List #1 completed by November 20, 2010 – Lori Wilk, A Place Called Home – Finished 11/7

I had a hard time finishing this book. I haven’t really liked Christian romance when I’ve read it in the past and didn’t really care for it this time either. It felt like events happened in the book, but they took a back seat to the being Saved and the slight romance. I found the book very flat. I had a hard time caring about the characters.

message 71: by ~Sara~ (new)

~Sara~ | 667 comments I'm glad I gave Wild Card another try, I finished it yesterday and I liked it. Sometimes the plot got lost in all the sex but that seems to be typical for Lora Leigh. Also, I never knew anal sex could be so profound! ;)

Lydia | 11 comments I'm in with Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2) by J.R. Ward . Finished 11/7/10

message 74: by Sheila (new)

Sheila (sheilaj) OK I am intrigued by this challenged and have chosen A Place Called Home by Lori Wick for two reasons.

1. I have never read this author before. AND
2. The library has a large print copy which made my choice easy.

I can't quite figure out how this challenge is going to work but it is a great idea Yz.

Did I understand it right that a new list will be generated for each of the original 10 books?

Welcome to the challenge, Sheila.

You only need to read one book for the Book List Thread that you have decided to join. After 4 weeks, the book that was read the most will be use to generate a new list.

message 76: by Sandra J (new)

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 366 comments I finished my reread of Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2) by J.R. Ward . I enjoyed the character of Rhage and the resolution of his romance with Mary and her interaction with his inner beast.

message 77: by Fran, Moderator (new)

Fran | 12278 comments I read Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli and I really enjoyed it. Sure gives you lots to think about-popularity, mob mentality, being who you are.

message 78: by ~Megan~ (new)

~Megan~ (megadee) I just finished Tangled Up In You...it was my first Rachel Gibson book, but it won't be my last. I really enjoyed it!

message 79: by Rachel (new)

Rachel (MaybeYesterday) | 1 comments I'm in, I'll read whichever's at my local library.

message 80: by Annie (new)

Annie (themadnessofhamsters) After saying what I'd read... The Raven Prince came in first!

I finished it last night - so 10th November. 4 stars from me.

message 81: by Jenny (new)

Jenny Delandro I have completed re-reading Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2) by J.R. Ward
I think my favorite part was when Mary patted the beast and told him told him he had done good .... while the others looked on in horror. Mary is so unfazed by it all. Love the series

message 82: by Kate (new)

Kate Reads (misskatereads) Yeah, I think I'll do it. I've already got at least one of these somewhere I'm sure.

Oops - remembered I needed to write a bit more about it...
I liked the fairytale references - tho not too sure that the text used as chapter headings would have been in a book given to a young girl!
That aside - nice 'kicking over the traces' by the heroine. Fed up with propriety, so acts up.
Fun and light - perfect for my mood.

Lover Eternalby JR Ward

message 85: by Stormy (new)

Stormy | 144 comments I just finished Brazen...liked the ranchers, wasn't really dazzled by the heroine. Ended in a trouple. Not my fave, but read it in a day, so...parts of it were pretty hot. Wish I hadn't already read Lover Eternal, though Rhage doesn't rate high for me in the BDB series anyway.

Looking forward to the next part of the challenge. Like the idea of a random book challenge.

message 86: by Pollyanna (new)

Pollyanna (polly8) | 300 comments I read Stargirl, and really enjoyed it. I gave it 5 stars as it was such a quick and fascinating read.

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Drq says:

I just finished Wild Card. I know I should not have been reading a book like this at work but it was too hard to resist! Totally hot sensual book and the story wasn't half bad either. I think the way Leigh brought Noah back to himself was better than I've seen most authors. I mean he didn't just up and admit he loved Bella. He truly had to work on himself.

And now, thanks to another challenge, I am adding a new series to my TBR lol

message 88: by Antoinette (new)

Antoinette | 1 comments I'm in as well. I will be reading Tangled Up In You

message 89: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckysbusyreading) | 258 comments I read Tangled Up In You by Rachel Gibson (instead of Stargirl).
This was my first time reading this author, and it took my about 100 pages to get into the story but after that I was hooked. I would consider reading more from this author.

message 90: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments I ended up reading Tangled Up In You - Rachel Gibson is very quickly becoming an auto-read for me

message 91: by Mary X (new)

Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2) by J.R. Ward - Finished

message 93: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments I have now finished Truly, Madly Viking (Viking II, #2) by Sandra Hill .

I enjoyed it! This had been sitting on my ebook shelf for ages but I hadn't had the impetous to get in and read it. I'm glad I did - its a cute light story. A 4 star read for me. I'll read the first in the series for some light relief (when next required...).

message 94: by Renee (new)

Renee | 231 comments I'm in....even though I'm starting a bit late I think I'll be able to get to it.

My choice is:

Wild Card

Wild Card (Elite Ops, #1) by Lora Leigh

message 95: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I finished The Raven Prince (Princes Trilogy, #1) by Elizabeth Hoyt . Wonderful book. The widow/brothel part was a lot unbelievable but I loved that the heroine could look beyond and really not see the hero's problem that a lot of women hated. I'm planning on reading the whole series.

message 96: by Daffodil (new)

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 1058 comments Started The Raven Prince this morning.

message 97: by Stacy (new)

Stacy (booksrgr8) | 3 comments I finished Stargirl yesterday. It was okay. It did seem to follow what would happen at a high school where a girl would act differently.

message 98: by [deleted user] (new)

I listen to an audio book. Tangled Up In You (Writer Friends, #3) by Rachel Gibson
I loved this book. I have never read this author but will be checking out more of her books.
The book offered a little bit of everything. Well written, interesting story. Maddie is a true crime writer who decides to write the story of her own mothers murder. She moves back to the town where the murder happened. She meets and falls in love with Mick. Mick is the son of her mothers' married lover who was killed the same night. Maddie doesn't reveal her true identity at first and when she does it causes a rift between them.

message 99: by Sheila (new)

Sheila (sheilaj) I ended up reading Strangers in Death by J.D. Robb on 11/15/2010

I always enjoy the books in the series and believe it or not my favorite character is Peabody.

message 100: by Caleb (new)

Caleb (ccp981) The Raven Prince (Princes Trilogy, #1) by Elizabeth Hoyt This has been on my TBR pile for a long time. I think that I am going to try and get it done for this challenge. Thanks!
