Do I need to post anything else?
I'm very proud of myself. LOL. I'm now reading another one and I doubt it's going to go as quick as the first.

No, it's the third book. For some reason they are misnumbered on goodreads. First book: Life as we knew it
Second book: This World we Live in
Third: THe Dead and the Gone
Gah! I'm planning on reading Life As We Knew It later on this month... is this another depressing series?
Yeah sort of. When I read it, I was so panicked (sp) about something terrible happening. Made me want to go and stock up and horde food just in case. It's depressing but a really good series. Easy to read as it's written in journal format. The first two books are related to each other, the third is from the perspective of a character that we meet in the second book. It's definitely worth the read but I wouldn't read all three back to back. I found that in between each book I needed to read something light and happy to get my mood back up.

Not meaning to contradict, but I am pretty sure that The Dead and the Gone is #2 (or at least it came out after Life as We Knew it). Barnes and Noble has it listed as #2 also.
@Jesi-
I don't know if depressing is the right adjective. I read the first one and I was more freaked out than anything. Very realistic.

Okay, here is the deal with those three books... They came out in this order:Life as We Knew It
The Dead and The Gone
This World We Live In
BUT
the first two books deal with the same time period on different coasts with NO connecting characters.
This World We Live IN, however follows the characters in Life as We Knew It after that book occurred. So, it all depends on how you want to look at it.
It might have come out in that order (not sure) but I considered it book three because the events are basically the same but from someone else's perspective. It's easier to read Life as we knew it and then This world we live in since it's a continuation.2.5 It's Raining Cupcakes

Hey guys, would you do me a favor, please? When you post your book, would you please say why it fits the task? It makes it easier to double-check. Yes, I'm a bit OCD. Or mean. Or something.
Okay, here goes! :)3.25 I read Rampant (402 pages), which I totally will be gifting one of my sisters-in-law because I love giving them YA fantasy novels with kick-butt heroines.
4.20 I read The BFG (208 pages) and Emmy and the Incredible Shrinking Rat (352 pages) which are both nominees on the 2011 Bluestem Award list http://www.islma.org/pdf/2011Bluestem...

The Faceless Ones
I plan to give this to my niece for Christmas. I've already shared the Skulduggery Pleasant series with her. It's a fun and exciting series with a smart, strong female character.

Oh guess I didn't understand 4.25. No biggie. It doesn't fit anywhere else on my list but was one I wanted to read anyway. I didn't realize we were writing lists and posting later.Kristen: thought it was so so. I was a bit disappointed too since it seemed pretty simple, in writing and story. But the author is only 18 so not sure if that makes a difference. I had a hard time with this because I kept comparing it to Fallen, a book I really loved. Same premise but better writing.

Amy - you loved Fallen? That was another one that was somewhat disappointing for me.. I think just because I had so many questions and I missed the big angel battle cause she was running around hiding. I still need to read Torment and see if it fixes what problems I had with Fallen.
Yes I loved it. It took a bit to get into it but really enjoyed it. Not sure if I was swayed by the story or the beautiful cover art. LOL. I'm on an angel kick. I'll read anything having to do with angels. I read Angelology over the summer and really enjoyed it too. Much darker, no romance and a lot of religious subtext, but it was great. One of my friends read Torment and said she liked it even better than Fallen. I haven't read it yet.
