Karen Harper's new Amish book, Fall From Pride is on NetGalley. The cover is also on there if a Librarian wants to add it on Goodreads.Fall from Pride
Does anyone know if Thomas Neilson is the only one who ask you to wait 30 days before posting a review? I have an Abingdon ready but it does not release until Oct. 2011. I think I can still post thison but I can't find my e-mail where I got accepted...hmmm...

I was looking at CBD's release date (June 6) & figured I was safe to post my review. I got an email from NetGalley about doing my review prior to the 30 days. I'll have to watch closer to NetGalley's dates.

Which publisher was it? Maybe they all have different requests?

I've never seen that one, about waiting until the week. I know that Thomas Nelson ask you wait until a month before the publication date.
I'm not having any problems with Thomas Nelson...and yes I am right now over whelmed with all the books I have. Some I didn't think I would like turned out I Loved them! I finally figured I don't need the Love Inspired...I have 95 posts on my blog and 51 followers. Not enough I guess.
I do have a giveaway ending tonight for Colleen Coble's book...

Hi! I just wrote my first review for a book I received from Netgalley. Please tell me if it is ok. I didn't write a summery of the book. Should I do that? http://countryhome-marie.blogspot.com/
Thanks,
Marie
Marie, some people just copy and paste the summary from GoodReads and say:GoodReads Summary: [paste summary here]
Then go into their own thoughts about the book. I find it is helpful to have a summary of the book so others reading your review get a sense of the plot before they read your opinion on the book. :)
Marie, your first review looks great! Like Camille said, just copy the summary from somewhere like GoodReads or Amazon. You might want to add a picture of the book to your blog post as well.
Marie wrote: "Another question: How do you get followers to your blog?"I'm your first follower! I love reading book reviews from members of our group!
Lorie wrote: "I tried to find you blog Marie but I can't will you give it to me again and I'll follow you."Here is the link to my blog: http://countryhome-marie.blogspot.com/ I have just started so I hope to be adding some interesting content. Lorie, do you have a blog? If so, can you provide the link? I am only following 2 blogs at the moment but I want to follow more. Thanks!!
Anyone with a blog , please post your link so I can follow. I am interested in following anything Amish, books, country living, pets, crafts ....and more:-)
Here's the link to a thread where we all list our blog addresses:http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/4...
Looks good! I agree a summery and maybe a picture would be a good addition. There is a thread with peoples blog links around here somewhere I believe.
Barbour Books have 5 new books including The Healing and Surrender the DawnI about did a dance of joy this morning when I checked!!!
I know, some of them look so good! I have way too many books to review right now, so I'm resisting. Haha, just wait and see how long that takes :P I have two reviews to write this weekend for Thomas Nelson so I may request a few books after that.

Woohoo-that's mine! Hope you guys like it :)
I have been waiting on pins and needles for The Survivor!! I am also excited to read a time for peace.
Ooooh, I requested all three! I really, really want A Time for Peace! I can't wait to see how the series wraps up!
Yeah I have been approved for all of those but The Survivor but I just put in for it last night. I agree I am interested how A Time for Peace is going to go since we are going back to the characters of the first book and I wonder what the secret is going to be!! But I am going to wait to read it since its not going to be published till later in the fall and I have a lot of review books before it right now.
Abbie wrote: "Yeah I have been approved for all of those but The Survivor but I just put in for it last night. I'll start that one next!
Ha glad to know I am not the only one. I have close to 30 netgalley books right now and when I get The Survivor its going straight to the top!
Abbie wrote: "Ha glad to know I am not the only one. I have close to 30 netgalley books right now and when I get The Survivor its going straight to the top!"I just decline a whole bunch that were not Amish fiction. I am vowing only to request Amish fiction or Love Inspired books!!!
Yeah I went through and declined some a few weeks back and I might do it again. I saw there is quite a few love inspired available now but have not requested them because I have so many right now.
Jodie wrote: "Diane U wrote: "Abbie wrote: "Ha glad to know I am not the only one. I have close to 30 netgalley books right now ..."Same here, I've only been requesting the Amish books and yet my list is still..."
I know what you mean. I have some books that are not review books I want to read but with so many review books I feel like I need to read a few more before I can read my pleasure books. The good thing is half my list is not publishing till late fall. I am glad they are putting them out a little earlier so I can get caught up on some of the books that are nearing or have been published but I love all these great books! Netgalley is just awesome!!
I got approval for 2 out of 3 requests! Still waiting to hear on The Survivor by Shelley Shepard Gray.
I can't wait to get busy... I got A Time for Peace by Barbara Cameron and The Wonder of Your Love by Beth Wiseman.
