I believe it means that you can no longer download it but you can post a review.I've gotten into the habit of downloading the book as soon as it is approved so this does not happen.
Here are two new books available over on NetGalley:1) Threat of Darkness by Valerie Hansen
2) Leah's Choice by Emma Miller

Has anyone else noticed that Harvest House has now pulled all of the fiction books off Netgalley? They have so many good ones...makes me sad!
Maureen wrote: "Has anyone else noticed that Harvest House has now pulled all of the fiction books off Netgalley? All the stuff they still have is for August and September so maybe they'll be putting their Autumn catalogue up soon?
Yes I requested and have most of the Amish ones, but hate to think we aren't going to have access anymore. They seem to only be offering their nonfiction now? Hope the others come back!
I saw on facebook that someone was reading Found by Shelley Shepard Gray from Net Galley but I don't remember seeing it up. Did anyone get it?
Maureen wrote: "I have also noticed that HarperCollins no longer offers titles for the US? Wonder what is going on."I noticed that as well, very odd.
Barbara, I've occasionally been sent a book via NetGalley from a publisher, but the book isn't available to everyone on NetGalley to request - they just use the website to send the book to particular users. Perhaps that's how that person got hold of the book? It's almost like, if you haven't been given access to view the book you wouldn't be able to see it on the website, if that makes sense.
Here are some new books from NetGalley that I requested:1) The Promise of Home by Kathryn Springer
2) The Shadow on the Quilt by Stephanie Grace Whitson
3) The Memory Jar by Tricia Goyer
4) Coming Home: A Story of Unending Love and Eternal Promise by Karen Kingsbury
5) The Baron's Governess Bride by Deborah Hale
I did notice that there was tons of non-Christian books, more than normal. I hope Net Galley doesn't stop carrying the publishers that we love here!
I just finished reading the Memory Jar by Tricia Goyer that I received from NetGalley!! It was very very good!! :)Thank you for the heads up Barbara Ann!!
Barbara Ann wrote: "Just saw over on Net Galley that Susanna's Christmas Wish by Jerry S. Eicher has been added."Ah, so Harvest House are still around. Good to know, although I'm not a big fan of Eicher. Which is handy right now, as I have too many NetGalley books already!

These quilt novels from Abingdon Press look really interesting! I'm going to pass on this one, but some of the later ones in the series have definitely grabbed my attention.

All of them are Amish fiction this time!
A Hope Springs Christmas by Patricia Davids is now on Netgalley. This is part of the Brides of Amish County series.
I think Bethany House is strange on netgalley. I was declined for a book because they say you can only request one at a time and then they said I needed to update my info. And then 2 weeks later I get an e-mail saying I am approved for the same book and I never sent another request. Strange!
I was signed up to review 2 books. I dismissed it because I never heard back the a month later it said I was approved. Strange even off netgalley too Lorie.
I think Bethany House are still getting the hang of NetGalley. I requested a few books from them and never heard anything back, but when I mentioned it to their publicist when I was requesting some other books for the website I worked for, they approved me straight away and then put me on their auto-approve list. It is good that they (and also Revell) are now on NG as they were the only two major Christian publishers that hadn't yet signed up, but it seems like it'll be a while before they're using it fully. What does everyone think of the new NG layout? I really like it.
I like it too Rachel.
Also I only search certain publishers on Netgalley and Revell was not one of them. thanks for mentioning that to me. Looks like they have The Lesson by Suzanne Woos Fisher right now.

Oooh, going to grab it Lorie! I've been patiently waiting for that one to come out!
I only found Revell by accident as I was clicking through the newly added titles and recognised one of the covers. They're owned by the same company as Bethany so I think they joined at the same time.
So I guess i can expect to wait a long time to get approved by them too? Personally I think they just have different people who approve and some are more linent than others?
