I've been watching it. Haven't read the books (or seen the previous version) but am enjoying this one. Love Ross!

I love going down to the waterfront here and looking out for ocean life. Occasionally, we will be treated by seeing a pod of Orca Whales (stunning creatures)

It's 25 degrees already in Sydney and things are starting to dry. At last.

It's not quite that warm here, yet, but the wind can be described as 'balmy' and the sound of multiple mowers and whippersnippers is heavy in the air. It's almost like a spring day.

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) Absolutely pouring down in fits and bursts down here. My cat was very unhappy, woke me up at about 4am with her crying. As soon as I lifted the quilt she shot down and started clawing my legs and shivering.

Uncomfortable nights sleep for me.

Faye (lastchapter) | 409 comments Rain is pouring down here, high winds crazy! My dog is totally hating this wind, she is tucked in the bean bag hoping I won't notice and put her out (not that I would).

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) I feel terrible for outside dogs in this weather :(

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) Yeah dogs are idiots :P my cat likes it when it's drizzling, sits right under a leaky part of the gutter so that water drips on her head. Not this much rain though.

Just got back from a Dymock's Literary lunch where the guest was James Patterson. He was very funny and told some good stories. I have had champagne, salmon and a delicious cheesecake and now have to go back to work for an hour!!!

But did anyone ask him why he farms out all his work? I have been so disappointed with some of his recent work, there was no way I was paying money to see him!
Bubbly, salmon and cheesecake: that would have been the highlight for me, although I don't envy you having to go back to work!

I bought a huge ham hock on Saturday - it is in the frezzer for when it gets a bit cooler here in Darwin. The last few nights the temps have dipped just under 20 and the humidity has dropped - I think the dry may just be on the way.

And the $100,000 he has donated (of his own money) to Australian bookshops is pretty special too. All to try to entice children to read...
