I have purchased special offers on Smashwords but must of my ebook purchases are from Amazon mainly because that's where the advertising points to.

I get them from whichever is cheapest be it Amazon, Kobo, iBooks or Smashwords.

Always humid here in the top end this time of the year - our idea of retirement is anywhere that humid is at a minimum.

I could cope with a couple of days here or there - but we have had 6 months - with another 6 ish weeks to go before the dry season is supposed to start.

I just watched the movie of this book- August: Osage County by Tracy Letts, WoW! Stellar cast with Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Ewan McGregor, Chris Cooper, Abigail Breslin, Benedict Cumberbatch, Juliette Lewis, Margo Martindale, Dermot Mulroney, and Julianne Nicholson as a dysfunctional family that reunites into the familial house when their patriarch (Sam Shepard) suddenly disappears.
Meryl Streep is wonderful as the matriarch with dependency issues and gives fantastic performance, as does the rest of the cast in this seriously dysfunctional family. Great movie, if the book is half as good I would give it 5*s

Everytime I've been south, it was ridicously hot...thogh I did live in Melbourne for a period when I was about 40 years ago, and recall it being very cold, wet and windy. I was somewhere at St Kilda opposit the water there.

@Sharon Depends on the seasons, I guess. Two years ago we had ten consecutive days of over 40C, it was horrid. Even on the beach where I am it was stifling. This year, only about five days over 30C, scattered over six weeks.

Thanks, guys. No idea how I caught it. I don't know anyone who's had it. Just one of those things. Fortunately I don't seem to have passed it on to anyone though! It's known as "the 100-day cough", so I still have a few weeks to go, but at least I'm getting a bit more sleep now!
