Sharon, that sounds very difficult. I'm not on Twitter either, but hope someone comes forward with some information for you and your mum. Thoughts and prayers with you both.

Elaine | 2001 comments Sharon, I can't even begin to imagine what this must feel like. To have this happen with two daughters and sisters. Your poor mother. My heart goes out to both of you and I hope you can find some closure. To endure something like this...it certainly puts things into perspective. Sending you virtual hugs and wishing you strength to bare what comes.

I'm not a Twitter user either Sharon, but I know some of our members are - one of them will help you out. An incredibly heartbreaking story; for one family to endure so much is beyond comprehension. Hugs to you and your Mum...

Regina Sharon, I have no words to express adequately how I feel. My thoughts are with your and your mum and hoping that you get answers.

I don't have FB or twitter, however I did hear it on the news this morning while driving the kids to school, so word is getting out there.

Suz | 4436 comments Sharon, I've just read your story through the link Mish put up. I hope your family will be able to gain some answers. My prayers are with your family also. I bet your mum must hold you tight x x

Sharon Robards (sharonrobards) | 944 comments Guys, thanks for all those hugs and Mish for putting it on twitter. I herd it on a Newcastle radio station this morning, but wonder where you live Regina?

It looks like it hit the Sydney Morning Heralds website this afternoon... hopefully enough interest will help prompt the police to offer a reward so we can find her body, which to date they keep putting off, despite us being told a few years back they said they would look into it....just goes on and on and on and on, and quite maddening

Suz | 4436 comments Just spent a really enjoyable hour or so with such a helpful librarian, taught me how to access all the online resource material, so much knowledge. And she told me about so much other stuff. Interesting people are so great to meet!

message 17872: by Carolyn (last edited Feb 28, 2015 12:31AM) (new)

Carolyn | 9868 comments Sad to hear that news of Leonard Nimoy. I loved watching reruns of the original Star Trek series as a child and enjoyed his brief appearances as Spock's father in the latest Star Trek movies.

message 17873: by Sally906 (new)

Sally906 | 89 comments I have just spent all afternoon and evening reading - been a long time since I have read a book to the exclusion of life. Hubby even cooked tea - well I put corned beef in the slow cooker but he did the vegetables and carving.

Sally906 | 89 comments Happy Sunday everyone - and the 1st Sunday in the month so that means I am having breakfast with two long time bookie friends of mine.

We gather a pile of books and put them on the table and lend them to each other. We all have similar reading tastes so this is good :).

When we have all read them we give them to charity- so win win :)

That sounds like so much fun Sally. My friends don't read and their eyes sort of glaze over when I start talking books.

Nice idea Sally. Sounds like a good way to have a defacto book club and swap books.

Carolyn | 9868 comments Read in the Weekend Australian that Peter Corris is working on his last two Cliff Hardy books to be called That Empty Feeling and Lost and Found. He blames deteriorating eyesight, saying that it has got to the point where he now has to type in 24 point and can't read the text on the toolbar.
His latest, just released, Gun Control is the 40th in the series.
