Sounds like a bug! Wonder if there's anything in the Feedback group?
Sounds like a bug! Wonder if there's anything in the Feedback group?

I've also had a couple of 'likes' recently for reviews of books I hadn't read but had marked as 'to read'. When I checked there weren't any ratings showing....
Strange isn't it?

Welcome back Sharon.

I've had that one too and wondered.

Have fun!
Have fun!

Have a great time Michael and tell us all about it later :)

Missed you, Sharon. Head to your local library and use one of the computers available there!

When someone likes a book you've added to your tbr you get a notification saying someone likes your status but these messages are that so done likes your review so it's weird when you haven't written one! I've just been ignoring it and hoping it'll go away by itself (my general approach to IT problems!)
That's right Carolyn. This book showed up on my Read list with a one star rating and a couple of people had already commented about how low the rating was!!! Well it wasn't my rating as I haven't even read the book nor is it on my TBR list. I deleted it from my read list and it all went away:)

Ah, when it comes to IT problems, a woman after my own heart, Carolyn.

Thankfully, this little thing has Word on it :D

So something mysterious is going on. The book I supposedly gave one star to was not one of yours Sharon.

Yes we do have lots of creepy crawlies Regina, but you are probably at more risk of being bitten by a dog or a cat than a snake or spider ;)

I know, but still creeps me out! :)

Yes!! I couldn't agree more, Julie.
Regina, I live and travel in places where snakes etc are common and I've never had any problems. It's not as if they chase you. Most bites happen when people accidentally stand or otherwise on them. So long as you can see where you're putting your feet or your hands, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. I'd certainly rather have snakes over bears and wolves any day. :)
We had a python in our neighbour's tree at the weekend. The Fire Brigade came to take it away and said it had just eaten! A bird I suppose!

I thought so too, actually.
Years ago when I first worked in the Pilbara, I was part way through treating a patient in the hospital (physio room) when they said "Are you going to do anything about the snake on the floor over there?"
This was the era before snake catchers, so I ended up holding it down with a pair of crutches while to doctor wielded a wheel brace.
Nowadays we call the snake catcher.

That sounds like a true country girl Leonie. My 85yo MIL saw a snake in her garden a couple of weeks back.she held it down with a pitch fork and cut off its head with a shovel. I'm a city girl I just run and scream "snake, snake , snake"

LOL!!! Sorry Liam, not really funny...
LOL!!! Sorry Liam, not really funny...

I've had encounters with brown snakes i n the past. The last one being when one was heading towards the swimming pool that my kids were in (a metre away from the pool fence), we only became aware because the dog reacted.
I was unsettled by that for ages!
Liam I would have been screaming too!

Isn't it, Brenda? Why are we all laughing, then? I'm just picturing Liam screaming in the shower.....LOL

It appears some type of electronic troll thing, not necessary aimed at anyone, readers, or writers, but to cause some type of havic with goodreads.

My hairdresser went to see Billy Connolly last week..she said he was as good as ever but thinks it'll probably be his last tour. The Parkinsons is very noticeable she said :(

LOL - didn't wait for the lights to change before crossing the road! By by snake :)

Jealous. I'm seeing Ross Noble in a couple weeks.

He is just as crazy Liam....you will enjoy his show too I'm sure!

Love Billy Connolly - we actually met him in Darwin many years ago. We had seen his show and then gone to a coffee bar next to the venue after - he came in and was sitting at the bar by himself looking around and caught my eye. I nodded and smiled at him not wanting to intrude and he picked up his beer and came over to where hubby and I were sitting and joined us. he said he always felt bad when people didn't want to disturb him. he chatted for about half an hour then he went. Was gob smacked!!! A few years later an online friend of mine from Melbourne saw him and was trying to take photo of him without 'disturbing' him when he turned around and came over - he got a passerby to take a picture of the two of them and he put his arms around her shoulders.
Lovely, lovely man.
He's not coming to Darwin this trip :(
Maybe we frightened him away - LOL!!!
That's a wonderful story Sally! These "unapproachable" celebrities are often the complete opposite!
