Just checked the radar and looks like we're in for a similar afternoon. I planted six punnets of petunias yesterday, all sitting up happily, hope it doesn't hail. They are just babies, it's too soon!

Your trip sounds great. Are you doing The Hermitage?

Uh oh - the hail just arrived here. Fingers crossed for your petunias. If they were in my garden right now they would not be happy.

I see from your profile that you're from Adelaide, my old home town. When I was your age, the only "on the way home" eateries were fish 'n chip shops, Hungry Jacks (foot long hot dogs) and Kentucky Fried Chicken ( but no fried ice cream). Adelaide is great for food now, I love visiting family and friends there, always get well fed!

I've got 14 books on my kindle and four paperbacks in case of emergencies and for when over reactive cabin staff make you turn your kindle off on take off and landing.
Do you think that will be enough?

My cat (Nosey) is snarling, growling and hissing at his piece of meat and 'killing' it. Sigh... he's weird.

9.50. It's a horrible time actually because by the time it has taken off and they have served dinner it's after midnight and I am exhausted. And sleeping on a plane isn't good at the best of times. Still it's the price we pay for going to exciting places:)

I've never tried a sleeping tablet. I just close my eyes and hope for the best. Also tablets would not mix with the alcohol ;)

Yes definitely! Apparently we have the most aggressive birds here in Australia. It's the noisy mynahs that I hate (I think that's what they're called - the grey ones with the nasty faces!)
