Ouch. Terrible excuse/10. Why buy a house, it'll be knocked down eventually. Why go on holiday, it'll be over eventually. Silly. Typing this right now as my gorgeous cat Benny is asleep between my legs, love him.

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) @Ashleigh. Do what all kids who live at home do. Promise to feed it, clean up after it etc so that it doesn't bother your Dad.

or Tell your Dad that you are just so lonely and need something of your own to love.

Right now, if I were you, I'd ring a taxi, go to the pet shop, buy kitty and a box, food etc and get taxi to bring you home! You Go Girl!

message 13871: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn | 9871 comments Ashleigh, I've had several elderly cats die since I was a child and loved each and every one. It took us a year to get over our last gorgeous 14 y old puss when she died and feel ready for a new one but I wouldn't be without our two lovely girls now. They bring so much fun and love into your life and are great company when you're home alone.

Your local vet probably knows someone looking for homes for kittens so try giving them a call and and dragging your Mum round to see them :)

Yep. Our local dog rescue drove a van up to Manchester yesterday absolutely stuffed with doggy things for the survivors. Today is our local fun dog show day, so we are entering Marvin in a couple of extra classes that he has no hope of winning at all, just because the money raised is going to our local dog rescue - so it will help them a bit now that they have given so much stuff away.
