So I just got done reading a long list of YA books where I had to wait forever for the characters to just kiss. I'm in desperate need of some real romance books. Im looking for something that has at least some sex scenes in it. I was thinking about reading The Night Huntress series, but I didn't know if it had any in it. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful!

The Night Huntress series has wonderful sex scenes and book 2 has a whole chapter dedicated to a hot love scene! :D SO I recommend them as well as the Demonica by Larissa Ione and Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward. You will not be disappointed.
I also second those recommendations by Jen. And Night Huntress series is brilliant as is Black Dagger Brotherhood (haven't read Demonica)Also Immortals after dark by Kresley Cole, which starts with:
Although there is a small novella that takes place before this book which is:
Also you could check out:Christine Warren, Lynsay Sands, Nalini Singh, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Shelly Laurenston
well... ::looks away shyly:: you could read my book. Vampyre Kisses... Yes shameful self plug. ANYWHO! I know that in The Hallows series there are some good sex scenes in the beginning books... i really wish Kim Harrison put some more in the last few.
So that's something to check out!
J.R. Ward and the BDB books are awesome! If you are going to read Kresley Cole, skip A Hunger Like No Other and start with the 2nd book in the series. If you are looking for good sex scenes, check out Lora Leigh's Breed series (I like the felines, didn't read much of the wolves). I also agree with Larissa Ione's Demonica series. Syndey Croft's storm series are very hawt as well.
Suzanne - really? I found the book really slow. By the end it was better. I had a difficult time getting into it. So far the others in the series are much better.
It does seem to have a lot less action bits in it then the other books, but I really liked it, that and "Wicked Deeds on a Winter Night" are my faves n the series. I think the reason I like it best is partly based on obsessive Lachlain love lol
I just ordered Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night from Amazon. Waiting for it to arrive. Can't wait to see what happens with Bowen.
It is so good I hope you enjoy it, it is a lot different from HLNO, has more adventure like things in it, and also Mariketa is a lot more likeable then Emma is. And Bowen, what's not to love!
The Fever series by MoningThe Highlander series by Moning (some really yummy scenes :) )
Kate Daniels by Andrews
Definitely both BDB and the Nighthuntress series.
I'll throw my hat in with the Dark Swan series by Richelle Mead. Storm Born and Thorn Queen are out so far.
Regina - I am kind of so-so on The Fever series. There is a lot of tension between Mac and Barrons. Wish there would have been more romance in the books. Great cliffhanger in Dreamfever.
Denise wrote: "Regina - I am kind of so-so on The Fever series. There is a lot of tension between Mac and Barrons. Wish there would have been more romance in the books. Gotcha, Mariya. Makes sense that it is Urban Fantasy. You are right, though - her characters are well-developed, and I like the lore/ history she has created.
Denise wrote: "Regina - I am kind of so-so on The Fever series. There is a lot of tension between Mac and Barrons. Wish there would have been more romance in the books. Great cliffhanger in Dreamfever."Oh but the sex scenes in Dreamfever are HOT and very rewarding. And nicely described. :) I agree with Mariya, the Fever series (along with kate daniels and Mercy Thompson) are UF and not focused on the romance. But in the books when the sex finally happens -- WOW.
Highlander series by Moning -- is definitely PNR, with a pat HEA at the end of each book -- but very very adult sex scenes. My big issue with the series is that all the woman are virgins -- before obviously. ;) If you read this series start with #3, 1 and 2 are not great.
BDB has hot sex scenes, my fave book is V's book (Lover Unbound) -- very hot.
My favorite BDB is Dark Lover - Wrath's book. The scene where Wrath first sees Beth in her apartment - oh my!! My second favorite is Rehvenge's book (can't think of the title off the top of my head). Lover Mine was good but not a fav.
Thanks for all the recommendations! I've already read the BDB series and I loved them! I think I'm going to start with the Night Huntress series, but I'm definitely going to check out all of the other ones you guys have mentioned!
If you want books with action...Sherrilyn Kenyon's books.
...
Dark-Series - There are plenty of books in this series, each book's pace differ from the others. But its my fave series.
The League series - More Sci-Fi than paranormal, but still has great romance!
Chloe Neill's Chicagoland Vampires
Not as many sex scenes, but there's enough tension there that it make you just scream 'Just do it already!'
Larissa Ione's Demonica series
HOT! Sadly its not one of my Top 5 series, but wow...HOT!
Karen Marie Moning's Fever and Highlander series
...
Highlander series are great. Connects with Fever series. As for the fever series, has a similar tension like the Chicagoland series
Im currently reading Gena Showalter's
...it's cute. I'm nearly done the book and no sex scene has happened yet, BUT there are moment where you jut expect them to strip each other do it right then and there!
As for the recommended Night Huntress's series....
READ EM!!!! They're SO good! Chapter 32!!!! For those who've read the series, definitely know what I'm referring to.
I have read BDB (love them) Kresley Cole (also love them) The demonica series (really really good) Nina Bangs she has 3 different series read them all (love Sparkle Stardust)Lara Adrian Books are really good too. I started reading Lynn Viehl Darkyn series (very disappointed so far)I like books that are more like Black Dagger Brotherhood I love the romance (sex scenes) but the darkyn series so far is not very good I also bought Susan Sizemore the laws of blood series does anyone know if they are any good? I have Gena Showalter Lords of the underworld coming I know that she is good, any one have anymore good books to read I need the erotic ones with action also like BDB, not this a kiss here a hug there, those are not the books for me. Help so please anyone give me a good lists to read. I appreciate the help
All of Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series have tons of sex in them. A little too much -- I've seen readers in other forums actually refer to her as porn. Officially, she's not, but that's not to say that you won't get the same thing out of it! It ramps up throughout the series -- the first one has a little, but as you go, there's more and more and more and more and more.........actually a little TOO much for me personally. But you asked! ;)

I thought it might with the way NRFTW ended. I thought the first two books started out slow but liked how they ended. Is the third one better?
Suzanne wrote: "It is so good I hope you enjoy it, it is a lot different from HLNO, has more adventure like things in it, and also Mariketa is a lot more likeable then Emma is. I have read all of the anita blake's and yes she has a lot of sex in them but it is the kind of kinky sex stuff with bondage, threesome, foursome, orgy's, and all other kinds of sex
That comes later though. There is no sex in the beginning books of the Anita Blake series. I have read the first three and there is no sex at all. I am starting the 4th, and no sex yet. I understand that in book 5 or 6 she finally has sex with JC and that the change toward multiple sex partners, etc happens in books 9 or 10. But in the beginning there is no sex, not even a kiss.
If you liked BDB, the Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian is similar. It has been referred to as BDB - lite. This is the first book:Kiss of Midnight
LilaBird wrote: "All of Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series have tons of sex in them. A little too much -- I've seen readers in other forums actually refer to her as porn. Officially, she's n..."Lol. I've heard and read similar comments about the series. Im a major fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon novels, (before I found out about goodreads) I searched what other series are recommended to those who like her books. Laurell K. Hamilton was the #1 recommendation. By then there were over 10 Anita Blake novels released. I checked them out and read the reviews, at first people loved them, then roughly by the 10th book the reviews changed from praises to concerns. Most of them did refer to the amount of sexual activities per book and that the character just continued to gain more and more powers and such. So that totally changed my thoughts on the series.
I mean, I don't mind reading about sex scenes and such, but to the point where it ruins the storyline...thats a bit extreme. It may just be me, some people are into that type of storyline...just not me.

What I heard was that the author got divorced around the 6th or 7th book and that's when they started to change. Many people liked her books up until then. People that like to read erotica seem to like them now. I'm like you, I don't want to read books that are mostly sex scene after sex scene. I don't like it when it's excessive.
Marilyn wrote: Glad to hear the next one is better! guess I'll start on it next. I like to be spoiled...does Kaderin & Sebastian give Bowen the key?lol I am not telling you, you will have to read it! I am sure if you have started now you will know the answer anyways : ) WDoaWN is really good, although I have a soft spot for HLNO (Lachlain *dreamy sigh*) I think that Wicked Deeds is one of the best in the series.
I really don't like the Anita Blake books, even before the sex stuff, I only got to book 3 I think it was and I just couldn't bring myself to read anymore. I found myself really wanting the bad guys to win so that Anita could die, when that happens, it's never a good sign!
Betty wrote: "I have read BDB but have to try night huntress what is it about"I don't want to give too much away, but the Night Huntress series is about Cat who is half human, half vampire. She goes around killing every vampire she comes across until she meets Bones...
That's all I can say without giving too much away. It's filled with tons of action, great characters, and romance. Definitely check it out!
I just started
and so far so good! Hot sex started quickly around page 37 lol. I'm about 50 pages in and I like the characters so far....pretty interesting.
All of you are right the Night huntress series is great, the story and the characters are very well developed ( I particularly love the series) There´s another one you could pick up and is LORDS OF THE UNDERWORLD by GENA SHOWALTER Lots af action and great sex scenes and the guys are so hot " sighs" hope I could help a little..
By the way, has anyone read the Demon slayer Series by Angie Fox I was curious about but I´m still not so sure, can anyone help me
I've read the first two. They're good books, pretty humorous as well. There's a romance there too, so something for everyone.
Michelle wrote: "All of you are right the Night huntress series is great, the story and the characters are very well developed ( I particularly love the series) There´s another one you could pick up and is LORDS OF..."Don't you just want to take Bones and keep him for yourself?! LOL! Even go to the point where to ask him to take all his 'experiences' and 'skills' and go all Chapter 32 on you! muhahahahahahaha!!! ANYWAYZ... Im currently reading Eternal Kiss of Darkness then going to read Death's Excellent Vacation to get my fill of NH.
Im also reading the Atlantis series by Gena Showalter, - just inserting the NH books since i want to read em! - so far they're not bad. I'm wanting to read the Lords of the Underworld series next though! :)

Oh. That explains some of the shift of storyline. Very true about the excessive amounts of sex scenes throughout one book, rather than trying to figure out who what happens next in the story, you tend to question whom she'll have sex with next. That's when you know you're no longer just reading a PNR book.
Other books that i've read with 'unique' sex scenes:
I know there are more within the book's I've read, but those ones are the ones popping into my head at the moment.

Dang!! Ok I think I'm going to read the short story about Cat & Bones in Death's Excellent Vacation then will start Book 3. I like Lachlain too. You got to love that he is willing to chew his own leg off for his woman!
I just finished the second book in the night huntress series! I cant believe I waited this long to read this series!! Here I was worried that there wouldn't be enough sex in it for me. lol All I have to say to that is Chapter 32! WOW!!!
i knoe. i admit i skim through one foot in the grave every knoe and then, but i really should re-read these again.
