Also Immortals after dark by Kresley Cole, which starts with:

Although there is a small novella that takes place before this book which is:

Also you could check out:Christine Warren, Lynsay Sands, Nalini Singh, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Shelly Laurenston

ANYWHO! I know that in The Hallows series there are some good sex scenes in the beginning books... i really wish Kim Harrison put some more in the last few.
So that's something to check out!

The Highlander series by Moning (some really yummy scenes :) )
Kate Daniels by Andrews
Definitely both BDB and the Nighthuntress series.

i knoe i wish there was more romance too but actually i dont mind to much, b/c i love how moning has developed the characters and the story. but it is an urban fantasy, not paranormal romance.

Oh but the sex scenes in Dreamfever are HOT and very rewarding. And nicely described. :) I agree with Mariya, the Fever series (along with kate daniels and Mercy Thompson) are UF and not focused on the romance. But in the books when the sex finally happens -- WOW.
Highlander series by Moning -- is definitely PNR, with a pat HEA at the end of each book -- but very very adult sex scenes. My big issue with the series is that all the woman are virgins -- before obviously. ;) If you read this series start with #3, 1 and 2 are not great.
BDB has hot sex scenes, my fave book is V's book (Lover Unbound) -- very hot.

Sherrilyn Kenyon's books.

Dark-Series - There are plenty of books in this series, each book's pace differ from the others. But its my fave series.
The League series - More Sci-Fi than paranormal, but still has great romance!
Chloe Neill's Chicagoland Vampires

Not as many sex scenes, but there's enough tension there that it make you just scream 'Just do it already!'
Larissa Ione's Demonica series

HOT! Sadly its not one of my Top 5 series, but wow...HOT!
Karen Marie Moning's Fever and Highlander series

Highlander series are great. Connects with Fever series. As for the fever series, has a similar tension like the Chicagoland series
Im currently reading Gena Showalter's

...it's cute. I'm nearly done the book and no sex scene has happened yet, BUT there are moment where you jut expect them to strip each other do it right then and there!
As for the recommended Night Huntress's series....
READ EM!!!! They're SO good! Chapter 32!!!! For those who've read the series, definitely know what I'm referring to.

I just got done with No Rest for the Wicked today and have been trying to decide to read the next book or take a break. So the next one is about Bowen? I thought it might with the way NRFTW ended. I thought the first two books started out slow but liked how they ended. Is the third one better?

Glad to hear the next one is better! guess I'll start on it next. I like to be spoiled...does Kaderin & Sebastian give Bowen the key?

Kiss of Midnight

Lol. I've heard and read similar comments about the series. Im a major fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon novels, (before I found out about goodreads) I searched what other series are recommended to those who like her books. Laurell K. Hamilton was the #1 recommendation. By then there were over 10 Anita Blake novels released. I checked them out and read the reviews, at first people loved them, then roughly by the 10th book the reviews changed from praises to concerns. Most of them did refer to the amount of sexual activities per book and that the character just continued to gain more and more powers and such. So that totally changed my thoughts on the series.
I mean, I don't mind reading about sex scenes and such, but to the point where it ruins the storyline...thats a bit extreme. It may just be me, some people are into that type of storyline...just not me.

What I heard was that the author got divorced around the 6th or 7th book and that's when they started to change. Many people liked her books up until then. People that like to read erotica seem to like them now. I'm like you, I don't want to read books that are mostly sex scene after sex scene. I don't like it when it's excessive.

lol I am not telling you, you will have to read it! I am sure if you have started now you will know the answer anyways : ) WDoaWN is really good, although I have a soft spot for HLNO (Lachlain *dreamy sigh*) I think that Wicked Deeds is one of the best in the series.
I really don't like the Anita Blake books, even before the sex stuff, I only got to book 3 I think it was and I just couldn't bring myself to read anymore. I found myself really wanting the bad guys to win so that Anita could die, when that happens, it's never a good sign!

I don't want to give too much away, but the Night Huntress series is about Cat who is half human, half vampire. She goes around killing every vampire she comes across until she meets Bones...
That's all I can say without giving too much away. It's filled with tons of action, great characters, and romance. Definitely check it out!

Don't you just want to take Bones and keep him for yourself?! LOL! Even go to the point where to ask him to take all his 'experiences' and 'skills' and go all Chapter 32 on you! muhahahahahahaha!!! ANYWAYZ... Im currently reading Eternal Kiss of Darkness then going to read Death's Excellent Vacation to get my fill of NH.
Im also reading the Atlantis series by Gena Showalter, - just inserting the NH books since i want to read em! - so far they're not bad. I'm wanting to read the Lords of the Underworld series next though! :)

Oh. That explains some of the shift of storyline. Very true about the excessive amounts of sex scenes throughout one book, rather than trying to figure out who what happens next in the story, you tend to question whom she'll have sex with next. That's when you know you're no longer just reading a PNR book.
Other books that i've read with 'unique' sex scenes:

I know there are more within the book's I've read, but those ones are the ones popping into my head at the moment.

lol I am not telling you, you will have to re..."
Dang!! Ok I think I'm going to read the short story about Cat & Bones in Death's Excellent Vacation then will start Book 3. I like Lachlain too. You got to love that he is willing to chew his own leg off for his woman!

Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. Its got romance and sex and vampires.

I know what you mean I wish I could take Bones home with me..he´s so Yummy!!!but then again I wish I could take Vishous ( BDB ), Acheron (Dark Hunters), Phury ( BDB ) , Paris (Lords of the underworld),and so many others...God I´m Such a book slut!!!
