I just finished
by J.A. Jance. I quite enjoyed it, finished it in less than 24 hours, couldn't put it down. It was a quick read for me. I'm currently reading
by Kelley Armstrong, the second book in the Darkest Power trilogy

Debi, I've actually gotten into it now. It's sad and disturbing, but I think now I'm getting to the upside part of it.
I'm well into it, myself, and I love it. It's highly unusual and, yes, distressing in parts, but so realistic and such a good read/listen. The narrator of this audio version is excellent. It did start off quite confusing, but the author had to bring us into the boy and his mother's contrived, strange world that was necessary because of their captivity. After you get that angle, it's got your attention!
I started Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert I'm not far in but I'm getting a little bored with it. =(

Cammie, Suffice it to say that I gave the book away on paperbackswap. I speed-read it, and wasn't impressed.
I'm reading, "Look Again," by Lisa Scottoline right now and I love it! Fast-moving story of a mom who sees her adopted, 3 year old son's picture on one of those milk-carton ads for a "missing child." It's well written and a great book to get lost in for the weekend.
Right now I'm reading
by Brenda Novak. I've had this book for about a year and just now getting to it.
Welcome to the Group Nick!!Your last book is on my TBR list too. I am also very easily diverted. I call myself a mood reader..LOL!!
Okay I got 3 books on the go again.

I know what you mean, Nick. "The Road" has been on my mental "I really should read that" list for quite some time, but everytime I read the synopsis on the back, I cringe.
Okay, I've had to set aside "The Children's Book" bc I have some December group reads I need to do. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is due at the library on Wednesday, so I need to get cracking. It sounds interesting enough, I just hadn't started it yet, bc I was trying to deal with TBC. Oh, and still listening to The Postman Always Rings Twice.
Finished The Postman Always Rings Twice and The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. I need to read the next 5 chapters of I Capture the Castle, then I'm starting Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and I'll be listening to either The Pillars of the Earth or Northanger Abbey.
I had pillars from the library, but I'm finding I have too many "reading" books, and no audio. Which was bad this week as I was working a lot. I drive a lot for work, so having audio books is great!
Reading Jack & Jill by James Patterson for a pen pal read. Things will be quieter this week, so I can do a few afternoon reading binges and git 'er done already!
I went on a reading spree! I've finished: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (thought provoking)
Room (creepy good!)
An Enchanted Season (loved it)
A Redbird Christmas (2nd read for me and found it just as wonderful as the 1st time)
Somebody recommended Redbird Christmas to me when I was reading Fried Green Tomatoes. Maybe it was you? lol
Kim wrote: "Somebody recommended Redbird Christmas to me when I was reading Fried Green Tomatoes. Maybe it was you? lol"Hmmm, it might have been. But I don't recall it. Then again, my memory is for crap anymore! Ha ha!!!
I would highly recommend it though. I loved it both times I read/listened to it.
Debi wrote: "Okay I switched
with
!!"The Heather Graham book is in my pile too. I'm saving the rest of the Christmas ones for next week.
Debi wrote: "I also started
!! Hopefully I will have both books read by Christmas eve..smiles."I'm sure you will. And I think you'll like both books.
Cammie wrote: "In reading
and started
on my Nook."Cammie, I've really enjoyed the Cat/Bones series. Hope you like it too!
Weekly book club is reading One Day this month. So I've started that. Listening to The Pillars of the Earth in the car.
Started Brave New World yesterday. So far I'm liking it.
Wow! I really need to check in more often. LOL. I finished Brave New World, read The Sun Also Rises, read The Monk; a romance.
I'm currently reading Eat, Pray, Love.
Still working on LD and OD, OD will be finished this weekend (TYG). ha ha.
I am listening to: Dying to Please and still reading between Lady of Hay and Second Chance Pass!!I finished listening to Firestorm!! 3 stars only because it kept me interested enough to finish it..LOL!!
