Our book discussion group is reading The Scarlet Pimpernel, by Baroness Orczy. Love it! I've read it twice already!I, personally, am reading half a dozen other books. The Last Song, by Nicholas Sparks, and Mere Christianity, by C.S. Lewis, thee most amazing author evar! ;)
And a few others about poetry, and facing challenges, and writing, and etc...
I am almost finished with "The Forty Rules of Love: A Novel of Rumi" by Eli Shafek. It's a beautiful story on love, accepting others despite their flaws & shortcomings, and spreading positive energy. I recommend it to everyone! <3
Just finished Little Bee by Chris Cleaves last night. Such a page turner! Really left me feeling more connected to the world.
I am reading the Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the House of Mirth by Edith Warton, Vanity Fair by William Thackeray, and Going Bovine by Libba Bray. : )
Kelsey wrote: "Shopaholic and Sister by Sophie Kinsella"I loved all those books! Laugh out loud funny!
Just finished reading East of Eden by John Steinbeck. Heartbreakingly beautiful with his writing, I had my highlighter out almost every other page. The whole book centers around 'timshel' which is the idea of free choice, and what could be better then that?
I am reading Shalimar the Clown by Salman Rushdie.. it is my first foray into his work and won't be my last.
I'm about to start Water for Elephants - if I can ever find the time to read, that is!
I am reading:Not for Packrats Only
The Screwtape Letters
Rebecca
I am about to listen to:
A Great and Terrible Beauty
currently blowing my way through "eating animals" by jonathan safran foer. i'd say i'm about 63 pages away from becoming a full fledged vegetarian. i dare you to read it and not do the same.
I'm just finished reading "The Elegance of the Hedgehog" by Muriel Barbery. Its very good so long as you keep a dictionary by your bed as a reading companion.
Just read "The Girl Who Chased The Moon" so good! i now love Sarah Addison Allen!
Bloodsucking Fiends by Christopher Moore. ~ He's got an awesome sense of humor that really makes me get into his books and want to keep turning the pages....even if there is real work I should be doing.
I just finished "The Fifth Agreement" by don Miguel Ruiz and now I'm working on "Change Your Thoughts - Change Your Life" by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer.
Finished reading Cracked Up to Be by Courtney Summers a few days ago. Also finished reading Ending Slavery: How We Free Today's Slaves by Kevin Bales a few days before that.
I am reading "The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court," by Jeffrey Toobin. Just finished reading "Where Men Win Glory: The Odyssey of Pat Tillman" by Jon Krakauer, which was all right but not as good as his other books. I've also checked out "You'll Never Eat Lunch in This Town Again" by Julia Phillips as a fun trashy airplane read. :)
Now in april I'm reading Possession by A.S. Byatt, The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova, Aztec by Gary Jennings and whatever comes my way ;)
April: So far, Un Lun Dun by China Mieville.; Fables by Bill Willingham; Percy Jackson 4: The Last Olympian
This month I'm reading "Portrait of an Unknown Woman" by Vanora Bennett and "Composition with Twelve Notes" by Josef Rufer.
Just finished The Silmarillion for the 4th time by J.R.R. Tolkien, now reading The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, and Oroonoko by Aphra Behn.
I'm reading Nurture Shock by Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman (which is incredible-- and that's coming from someone who almost never reads nonfiction) and Still Life with Woodpecker by Tom Robbins (because I've been meaning to read it for years).
I'm about halfway through Elaine Beale's Another Life Altogether: A Novel and can't put it down. It's just fantastic.

Hi Everyone,My name is John Cicero and I am a fantasy/adventure author. My passion for writing is driven from the joy I receive from reading my stories to my children.
Watching the expressions on their faces as I take them on a journey through the magical pages of my imagination is what drives me to find the time to write.
My recently released novels are in the Rainbow's Shadow Trilogy. They are Rainbow’s Shadow and the Tablets of Fate and Rainbow’s Shadow and the Covenant of Wisdom.
As a passionate writer in Northeast, Ohio I have been fortunate to hit the Best Sellers list with 'Tablets of Fate' and am on track currently with the 'Covenant of Wisdom'.
The final novel in my trilogy is Rainbow’s Shadow and the Other Side of Paradise which is currently in development.
If you have a moment check out my website and Rainbow's Shadow Trilogy today at... www.RainbowsShadow.com
Take care, John
