Suzanne - yes, I also liked the fact that H/H were mature although, at times, they didn't always act that way! Loved Olivia's letters as well especially her use of the underlining. Can't wait to read 'Last Night's Scandal' with the combination of Peregrine and the fiery Olivia. I think it will be quite hot!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I'm hoping to read the Legend of the Four Soldiers in 2011. Yes, I have so many books here that I'm planning for 2011. **sigh**

message 1503: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. Me too Dhestiny! I have so many that I want to read it ridiculous.

message 1506: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I know!!!!! I need to get a grip. I've started buying from thriftbooks.com and the used bookstores, especially friends of the library book stores.

message 1507: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Glover | 576 comments My local UBS has a bargain room and I get 8 for $1. On some occasions, I've been in there, purchased a reg book and she's given e the 8.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments How have you ladies done with bags of books? I've seen bags for $5, but you can't choose. They are already put together. Is that a bad way to go?

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments Do you know what genres are in there? Or is it literally just pot luck?

message 1510: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments My daughter said they are usually lumped together by genre. She said, for example, if there are Nora Roberts books in the bag, the other books will be similar.

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments For $5 you could give it a try, you could get a couple you like, and would be cheaper them buying them new. It also may help you discover something new that you wouldn't usually buy.

message 1512: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments That's kind of what I'm thinking, too, Suzanne. And worse case scenario, I trade them in for credit at the UBS. LOL

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments Very true! How many books do you get per bag?

message 1514: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I don't know for sure, but it looks like 10-15. I've never asked because I wasn't sure I wanted to do it, know what I mean?

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments Oh sounds like a bargain! Go for it : ) If you do let us know what books you got!

message 1516: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I will. If I can do it, it won't be for several days.

message 1517: by Julianna (new)

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 380 comments I'm moving forward with the Wallflowers. I started Scandal in Spring this afternoon. It's hard to tell since I'm only about 25 pages into it, but I'm liking it so far, although that could be because my darling Marcus has already put in an appearance to remind me why I'm so crazy about him.;-)

That's my favorite of the series! Enjoy!

message 1520: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 828 comments Thanks D.G., I really like both characters so I think it will be one of my favorites as well. It will be hard to beat out Christopher and Beatrix. Their story is just so precious.

message 1521: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I finished Friday Night Bites (Chicagoland Vampires, #2) by Chloe Neill and am now reading Twice Bitten (Chicagoland Vampires, #3) by Chloe Neill . This is a great series.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I'm reading Dragon Actually (Dragon Kin, #1) by G.A. Aiken

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments How are you finding it UM? I really like Shelly Lauresnton's books, although the Dragon Kin series isn't my fave series of hers.

message 1524: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments This is my first read by this author. I don't think I knew this was Laurenston, but it's still my first read by her under either name. So far, so good. It's kind of silly. It reminds of Kinley MacGregor's writing, though it's been years since I read KM, too.

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments Her books are good if you are looking for a bit of funny-crazy. I like reading them when I need a bit of humour, but I think she does it better in her "Pride" and "Magnus Pack" series.

Kinley MacGregor, that is Sherrilyn Kenyon's other pen name isn't it?

message 1526: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Yes, KM is Kenyon. I wish I could remember the couple of books I read by her. It didn't take long before I was comparing Dragon Actually with the others I read.

Oh, and I just read the most recent 2 of Christine Feehan's Carpathian books and they were so, so good, but really intense. More so than I recall that series being. So anyway, something funny, a little lighter is exactly what I'm needing!

message 1528: by D.G. (new)

D.G. I finished A Countess Below Stairs by Eva Ibbotson , which was simply wonderful, wonderful! I recommend it to anybody.

Now I'm reading Any Way You Want It by Kathy Love which is going very well too.

I'm on a roll!

D.G. Bekah wrote: "D.G. - is there little to no heat in the Countess below stairs?"

No sex. It's totally PG-13. That's why they are now marketing them as YA even though the author just wrote them as clean romances for adults.

That's correct- it is charming though. A Company of Swans is good too.

A Company of Swans by Eva Ibbotson

I wasn't real impressed with the KM books. I much prefer her Dark Hunters. I've notices, though, in the last couple of DH books that she seems to be tapering off the romance and focusing more in the other aspects of the book. I don't mind that, but she did write some really intense, hot sex scenes in the first ones and I liked those! LOL!! I suppose I'm just a perv, but I really like the hot sex scenes. :)

Oh, and I'm reading Burning Up (Includes The Iron Seas, Prequel; Children of the Sea, #3.5; Psy/Changeling #0.5) by Angela Knight .

If that makes you a perv, then we both fall into that category. And I'd venture to say, so would many others in this group! LOL

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments I think I am part of that group as well! I like a good hot sex scene thrown in! And I definately prefer her earlier DH books. I think the Lords of Avalon books are my fae my KM, they have a good mix of HR and PNR

message 1539: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

MashJ | 733 comments I'm sort of disapointed by the later books in the Malloren series from Jo Beverley. The early ones were bawdy Georgian romps- the later ones seem a little tame. I know I can't expect the author to repeat themselves by my interest is waning- I'll take a break and read something else for a bit.

If you might be interested best of the lot-loads of fun, gorgeous hero and a 5 star for me was:

My Lady Notorious (Malloren, #1) by Jo Beverley
