Professor Kitkun glanced at the papers the students had just turned in. She nodded to herself, then put them in a folder.
Medea turned her paper in quickly, then retreated back to her desk, where she stared into space blankly.

((lol))
Anni started tapping on the desk mindlessly, coming slowly to realise she was playing a song.

Professor Kitkun glanced at her watch. "Well, time's up." ((I know, fast half hour)) "Please turn them in now." She stood and carefully picked up a telescope. "Now, these are very nice telescopes, so please be careful. Everybody grab one."

Anni found an empty spot and took it, staring up at the sky tiredly while holding back a yawn. It had been a long day.

Medea picked up a telescope and looked up at Professor Kitkun.
Estella surveyed the class, then began. "Now, this is very simple. Here is the eyepiece. Here is the clarity dial. These are the different magnification powers." She briefly described each part, then had the students practice using them.

Rubbing her eyes sleepily, Anni did as the teacher instructed, not really focusing on anything any longer.

Estella glanced again at the time. Class was almost over. Nearly a no-show for Slytherin first-years, she thought with disapproval. I can't take points with them gone, but I'll certainly have to talk with them and their Head. She passed out another piece of paper, this one covered in writing. "Since this is our first day, the homework will be light. Simply read this short summary of telescope operation and proper handling. Please put away your telescopes." She smiled faintly. "In fact, because there was no talking out of turn, you may leave early once you've done that."
"It won't be that bad," Sean consoled her after putting away his telescope. "Can it?"
"Is homework ever not bad?" she retorted, displeased.

Medea carried her bag and paper with her as she exited. She didn't pay much attention to where she was going, keeping her head down.
Estella watched the first years leave, then sorted the papers. Once that was done, she left for the staff room.
((Lol, yeah, not many people here. That's why I kept it short, since we couldn't do much without Lyra or Akrisios or Caleb. And Jessica and Pudding are gone. Anyway, yeah.))

Anni shot the other, nicer, of the Hufflepuffs she'd met so far, a tired smile before leaving with Sean to their own common room.
((Hey, sorry! Anni's thinking about how she's this blood-stained murderess, and Ivi starts talking at her about the piano!))
((Oh, gosh... Summary? *sob*))
Avery felt a little dizzy from looking out into space. He stowed his paper and followed Medea out with a yawn.
Caleb ran hand through his hair and put his paper away.

Akrisios put a hand on her shoulder, stepping around her."I put it on your bed, I figured it would be the last thing on your mind."He tried looking around in the darkness."Uh, are there stairs?"He ran his fingers along the wall."And, I think you've gotten the idea about making me angry, I meant something else."
((lol))
Aurelian rapped her knuckles on the door. She cleared her throat."Excuse me for interrupting your class, Professor Kitkun, but I would like to inform you of a matter concerning a few Slytherin first-years, I'd prefer speaking in the hall, if you don't mind that is."

((ugh, i knew she wasn't on but i didn't see that class ended, oh well, prof prince just won't know it))
"Um, about using Crucio. I wanted to tell you about Unforgivables. They, uh, ruin a lot of things. They taint your soul so to speak. You felt a surge of anger, resentment, hate because of what that man did. I know you think it will last, but it won't. You'll move on, wounds will close. To kill...Every time you use it, you lose a little piece of yourself."He looked up, trying to meet her eyes."You're a good person, Lyra. Don't let hate ruin your life. It's already ruined mine. You have a lot ahead of you, don't do something unless it is the only way. When you kill them you renew their enthusiasm for the hunt. It will only get worse. Performing Crucio is different. It shows them you aren't afraid to fight back but it also tells them you'll make the necessary moves to ensure your own safety."
"Lyra, you don't understand. It's your fault. If anyone should be killed, it is you. If you had not run off she would be alive. It's the harsh truth. The Death Eater just happened to be there. You cannot kill a soldier for a general's orders. It is not his fault, he believes that murdering muggleborns is the key to a better society. He believes this because he has been brainwashed."Akrisios sighed, foot slipping down onto the first step.
Akrisios swallowed."He got in the way."He whispered."They were targeting you."He paused on the stairs."When witches and wizards are born, there is an enchanted scroll that writes the name and date down. They must have access to the scroll if they can target muggleborns and halfbloods before they are old enough to attend school. I don't want you to look for that man, at least not without me. It's more my fault than yours, if I learned to keep my big mouth shut this wouldn't have happened."
"Whatever."He muttered darkly, pushing his way roughly along the stairs."I only know about things my dad sees fit to tell me. The Ministry knew nearly two decades ago that the Death Eaters were regaining strength. It's their on fault for trying to cover it up. They kept tabs on every murder in a wizarding family, noticing a record high for muggleborns. I admit it's not common knowledge, especially when he was a muggle, but I like studying muggleborns. I know every single one by name at the school and I know their family histories."
