((*shrug*))
Caleb wanted to hug her as he saw another tear fall, but that would be... slightly weird. He nodded. "Okay... Well, should we go get her?" He asked softly.

Caleb thought for a moment. "Now that I think about it, I think I do... I believe it's on the ground floor. Across from that weird tapestry." ((Correct me if I'm wrong.))
"Ms. Lupin, are you al-Who cast the killing curse on that cat?"Before she received an answer she swung herself onto a window sill."Morsmordre."

((*is scared*))
Caleb took a step towards Lyra before thinking about it, about to put a hand on her arm, then stopped. I'm a freak, it's official. He looked at Professor Prince. What's she doing?

"I have to alert the Aurors..."She murmured. She let herself down and brushed of her robes."Sorry children, my mind is on other things. Is everyone here okay? I need to know what happened."She saw Lyra's tear-stained face,"Perhaps my office would be a better place to discuss this?"
"I understand. I'll assist you, there's a beautiful willow near the lake. Maybe you'd like it if she were buried there?"
Akrisios rolled his eyes."She'd like it just as much if Ever were still alive."
Akrisios rolled his eyes."She'd like it just as much if Ever were still alive."
Caleb held back a sigh. He knew it wasn't quite the same, since his mother wasn't dead, but it had filled him with the same, slightly despairing grief nonetheless. He nodded. "Let's go then."
((mmmm, muffins...))
Aurelian took out her wand, murmuring a few words under her breath before pushing the door open."I've used a protection charm. We should be okay."

((Yeah. I totally changed the recipe as I went, so I'll let you know how it goes...))
Caleb felt a tad better about going on the the grounds, but not much. He knew that even protection charms could be foiled.

((Sadly no. I forgot to get some yesterday, so no luck there. I usually make a batch of pumpkin chocolate chip or just chocolate chip muffins every sunday to eat as breakfast during the week. This time I tried bran muffins...))
Caleb watched Lyra's back as she left. What went on out there that got Ever killed? He wondered. He walked out the door silently, Cinda walking at his heels. "No, you stay here," he said firmly and quietly, but she followed insistently.

((lol, the prof could give her a potion that forces her to tell the truth))
Aurelian pressed forward, leading the kids, her eyes glued on the Forest and darting to the sky every so often. She pursed her lips, grass tickling her legs."Just a little further."

Caleb watched the slightly darkening sky with apprehension. Something bad was happening out here.
Akrisios kept closely to Lyra, wand drawn. He strained his eyes but could barely see anything except for what was right in front of him.Drat, I really should have gone to the nurse.
Aurelian smiled."You could try that Mr. Sheppard. Or you could just summon a shovel. Or a hole."
Caleb was glad it was dark. His face flushed slightly. "Er... Right. Well, I don't know if I'm quite ready to try summoning a hole. Perhaps you would like to, Professor?"
((Really?))
"Accio hole!"Aurelian pointed her wand at the tree's roots, a hole forming."I can give her a headstone later, when the grave is closed."

Aurelian kneeled at the mouth, her face calm and peaceful."I'm not sure why a Death Eater would target a cat unless she startled them. Her death will not be for nothing."She choked on the words, her own grief rising.Unlike his..."I will find out who did this, I promise. When we get back I'll have to alert the Headmaster to alert the Ministry."
Caleb watched, his chest tightening. He would've offered to do it for her, but it looked like she would. "Whatever you need me to help you with, I'm here," he said instead.
((Yeah, really! I switched the recipe around a bunch, then before I put them in the oven I mixed brown and white sugar and cinnamon and sprinkled it on top of them. They're yummy!))

((I couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic, cool))
Akrisios mentally kicked himself. You could have offered your help. You're always messing up.

Aurelian covered the hole and fashioned a headstone out of granite."I'm so sorry Ms.Lupin. It must be terribly hard on you."
((Bye! Sorry, I had to clean up my mess...))
Caleb watched a smile that could only be called sadistic form on Lyra's face before it disappeared when Akrisios spoke. I guess it makes sense after what she's been through today.

Caleb let his gaze linger on Ever's grave for a moment. You'll be missed more than you know, Ever. He turned and saw Lyra walking away. He didn't run after her, but he followed her at a distance.
Professor Prince stood, watching Lyra quietly. She followed the children into the school, she wasn't going to question Ms. Lupin tonight, she'd been through enough.
Akrisios felt a lump tightened in his stomach as he jogged to catch up to Lyra."No. It's not your fault."He squinted."It's mine. I was the one that caused you to go into the Forest, the one who didn't find you fast enough to warn you."

((Ah, I see. Well, luckily my teacher is more...lenient than others. But I don't think the teacher will be told the reason for Akrisios skipping, so I can't speak for him.))
