Hi, My name is Marion, I'm from Vanc. BC Canada. I'm a Koontz fan from way back. My favorite is The Snow Man series - Fear Nothing, Seize the Night, both of which I'read read at least 2 - 3 times. I'm a huge fan on his earlier work mostly, but do like a lot of the current - the Odd Thomas series are fun and great. Thanks

Hi Dustin, thanks for the invite. I commented on one of the Koontz book groups. My late wife was a Koontz fan and I more or less became interested in him through her. He has a great range and mostly I like his work.
I happen to be one who likes most of the "new" Koontz, including the so called religious ideas. I'd say my favorite (and that really isn't easy) would fall between One Door Away From Heaven, Light of the Moon, and Taken. I was introduced (I think) through Watchers and really liked it (though at that time he was apparently dealing with an infatuation with the great American "F" word. Possibly Stephen Kings influence?)
One book my wife and I disagreed on was Twilight Eyes, I liked it, she didn't so much. I snatched the newer books up for her as soon as they came out. She was bed fast the last 2 years and having trouble actually reading, so I ran most down in audio form. She always looked forward to his completing Moonlight Bay Trilogy, but she passed away in August, I doubt I'll ever be able to read those again, or Ride the Storm when it comes out, she really liked them.
I have been a little concerned about the last few books to be published, they seem much weaker than most he's done. Frankly I really disliked Your Heart Belongs to Me. Hopefully it's just a phase.
So anyway, I like most of Koontz work and look forward to discussion of his writing with others who also enjoy it.

I write down favorite passages/quotes too - and Koontz is the one that I write down the most out of all the authors I read :-) I would really like to re-read From The Corner Of His Eye - I'm gonna keep nominating that one as group read until it wins!

Hi :) My name is Miranda, I am a single mother to three boys and I have been a hardcore Koontz fan for as long as I can remember. :) I've always LOVED horror/thriller/suspense novels (and movies) and Dean Koontz took over as my favorite author (bumping Stephen King from the top spot) sometime in junior high. Thankfully both of my parents have always liked the same types of books/authors so I could always count on one of them for something new to read. To this day we still share, though I'm usually the one buying the new books and then loaning them out after I finish reading. ;) I've read just about everything that he's written, though there are a few older books that I somehow missed and have added to my tbr pile. I'm not so sure I could choose a favorite if I had to. I just love the way I can always fall right into the story from the first page of every book he writes. :)
Looking forward to making friends here who share my love of Koontz.

Hi everybody. I used to read nothing but Koontz at one time. I would to the bookstore and get only his books. I have read maybe everything, except some of his latest books. For some reason, I haven't found his latest stories that good. I have join the group to pick up again my interest on him and get some recommendations.

Welcome to the group Elena! Thanks for introducing yourself :-) we've got plenty of recommendations for you here!
Hi I'm Shannon, I've been reading Koontz since I was about 12 (or somewhere around there) so it's been close to 20 years of reading Koontz for me! I've read almost every single one of his books, and I own about half (got the other half from the library when I was younger). I think the very first one of his books I read was Cold Fire, and I've been hooked ever since. I'm looking forward to re-reading the books along with the group!

Hi All,I just wanted to say hi. My name is Sheila and I've read quite a few Dean Koontz books as well as seen several of his movies. The latest one I read was in the Frankenstein series "City of Night". I'm new to Goodreads but not to books. I am an avid reader with very eclectic tastes but tend to like mysteries/scifi the best. I hope to get to know you all and would love to have you as "friends" so I could see what others are reading.

I had the privilege of being Sheila's first goodreads friend :-) Thanks for joining Koontzland Sheila!
Welcome Sheila!Dean Koontz and Stephen King are a couple of my favorites, but I too read and enjoy almost all genres. I'm a fan of Southern Lit; Faulkner, Larry Brown, Cormac McCarthy and more. I like medical thrillers, such as Robin Cook and Tess Gerritsen; Classic horror . . . really all across the board.

We've reached 90 members :-) What a milestone - next step 100! Y'all stick around, we'll have some fun!
Hi Everyone! I'm Denise, from California. I just joined this group only a few minutes ago but so far I like what I see. I've only read a few books by Dean Koontz but I have liked each one. I own several more of his books (either on my Kindle or paperback) but I'm not a big reader so they remain untouched. I really want to start reading regularly again so I hope joining this group will be the extra motivation I need.
Thank you, Sheila. I'm looking forward to being a part of this group.I love my Kindle! It's really great. I got it because I was going on 4-month trip and was planning to pack several books. The Kindle helped to make the packing lighter and keeps everything handy. I also have the iPhone which has a Kindle application on it so when I don't have my Kindle I can keep up with my reading on my cell phone. Now that I have the Kindle, I really don't purchase physical books anymore and that's okay because most Kindle books are $10 or less. My sister has the Nook from Barnes & Noble. That one might be better than my Kindle so if you are looking into it, you'll definitely want to do some comparing. Actually, my sister already put a web page together that compares some of the major eBook readers:
http://thebookends.izgr8.com/ereaders...
Her comparisons are non-biased and extremely meticulous so that is a good site to go to. I love my Kindle, my sister loves her Nook and my mom loves her Sony Reader.

Welcome Denise :-) We're reading Lighting in March and From the Corner of His Eye in April, ;-) you probably already know that. Thanks for joining , we'll see you around!
Hi Everyone -- I have been a Koontz fans for at least 15 years -- probably longer. The first book I read was Lightning and it's probably still one of my favorites. I even turned my husband and son on to Koontz. Some of my favorites are Watchers, Midnight, The Bad Place, Coldfire, Odd Thomas (not crazy about the 2nd one -- still have the 3rd one to read), Frankenstein series. Right before I found Goodreads I had finished the 3rd Frankenstein book and decided to give Stephen King a try -- right now I'm reading Tommyknockers. I don't have as much time to read as I'd like, so I have a feeling this one may take a while. Anyway, when you start a book I haven't read yet, I'll pick up that one and read it with you. :)
