Koontzland - Dean Koontz discussion
Welcome to Koontzland!
>
Introduce Yourself (if you want to :-)
Where is Al now anyway? Are you really two different people? :-) Hope that doesn't come across offensive - because I am enjoying both of your comments.
Al is indeed my sister. Al is short for her real name, and my real name is Hannah. My profile picture is of a character from Lost. Haha. Al is off in La La Land right now... in Dreamland... ;]
They're calling it quits huh? How many seasons did it run. What is it about? I don't even know. I don't watch current television except Ugly Betty and American Idol - hello Ellen!
Yes, this will be the... sixth season? I believe so... hard to think right now. "What is it about?" Oh, wow... so not gonna get into THAT right now. Hahahaha! All I will say is that it's amazing. I do not recommend starting to watch the last season because you will be completely befuddled. :P Yeah, television is not something I'm obsessed with. I prefer good ole books! In fact I LIVE for books. Well, not really but awful close...
Btw, good night, y'all! :D Time to rest me eyes.
Jackie!!! I'm so glad you joined us. Please feel free to comment on any discussions or create new ones! btw, I love that little Jocko!
"Jocko likes salty, Jocko likes sweet, but never bring Jocko any hot sauce, like with jalapenos, because it makes Jocko squirt funny-smelling stuff out his ears." -Dead and Alive, 2009
If you start a discussion on Dead and Alive I'll share more of my favorites! (wait maybe that will make you not want to start a discussion huh? :-)

Oh, gosh... if Al and I were the same person, my brain would be hurtin. The pain's bad enough with us being two separate people. :P Jk, sis.
Brent! :D You and Dean Koontz are my favorite authors! You have to become a writer... and if not, you have to keep up the hobby.
Welcome all newcomers! Nice to see the group growing so fast. (P.S. Hanzle, I`m obsessed with LOST too! It`s just one of those programmes that you either hate or love. I fall into category 2!)

Unfortunately, I can only afford to get my books used, so I've only read the ones given to me or found at thrift stores or yard sales....except for the one purchase I made....the Dead or Alive book."
Shawnee! So glad to see you in the group :-) Thanks for joining! Koontz is my absolute favorite author too! I mostly use the library to get my new Koontz books - I'll put them on hold or request them as soon as I hear about them coming out and it usually works out pretty good. How is the public library where you live?

Not quite I`m afraid Dustin. I`m still working on a different computer.
HI Dustin, I made it. Hi everyone my name is Lori, and i'm from North Carolina. I believe in good books, (dean koontz & stephen king) good music,(queensryche) lively discussions,(as long as no on yells) praline & cream icecream,(baskin robbins) oreo cookies, (nibisco only) pepsi & coke, and most animated movies. Lookig forward to seeing/talking to you all.
Hooray, I am so happy to find this group. I love Dean Koontz. His stories are such a thrill ride but infused with hope, humor, the power of good over evil and always the ever intelligent animals. Sometimes his bad guys are a little too bad for me though!

Operation Mindcrime is one of my favs.
I seen them this past October for my birthday. They were on their American Soldier tour. It was awesome!!! They sang off of The Warning, Empire, Queen Of The Reich, & of course American Soldier. It was off the HOOK. That's my 3rd time to get to see them, and I guess I should be happy about it. And I am, but I would love to see them do Operation Mindcrime 1, & 2 live. Now that would be just the best day ever to me.Nice to meet you Matt. :0)
Welcome Lori & Amy! Thanks for adding to the discussions (and polls :-) already! Hope to see lots of you both.
42! Welcome to the group Sharon :-) and Lynai - I did see you sneak in the door yesterday, sorry I didn't mention it until now. Thanks for joining. Please feel free to join any discussions, create new discussions, vote in the polls, participate however you want or just follow what's going on. Make yourself at home!
Hi, I'm Helen.....a big Dean Koontz fan and I think I have read most of them. The latest, which I read on Boxing Day, was Breathless. It was bought on Ebay from the US and signed by the man himself. My favourite Christmas present by far.
Thanks for joining the group Helen :-) you'll meet lots of other Dean Koontz fans here. Please make yourself at home by participating however and whenever you feel like :-)See you around!

Thanks for welcome comments. I have been snowed in here since Monday (Liverpool, UK) so plenty of time for reading.
Hello all. Welcome to the group. I understand your situation Helen. I live in Ireland & we are in similiar circumstances. I`ve been bearly out of the house since christmas!!
45 Members! Gosh, that's crazy cold over in the UK. It's been snowing/freezing here in Colorful Colorado the past two days and I thought that was bad. Today is sunny and looks we'll have sun in Colorful Colorado for at least a week :-) "Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy" - John Denver
I like "Rocky Mountain High" the best. I like to listen to it when I'm driving in the Colorado mountains :-)
Hi to all! I finally made it here. Not sure if I was lost in space or what.Anyway, I a bibliomaniac in general; I particularly like Dean Koontz, SK and others. My reading tastes cover most genres; really across the board. I've read most of Koontz work, including some of the harder to find hard SF work he did under pseudonyms K R Dwyer and Richard Paige. Some of that early work gives us an example of just how far he has come, yet much of it has very little to do with his work that we are more familiar with.
WELCOME TOM! I knew you'd join us eventually :-) Check out our discussions about dogs (A Big Little Life, A Dog-Gone Good Discussion etc :-) You're involved in animal rescue work, if I remember right.
47 Members - we only need 99 more to be equal with the inactive Dean Koontz group membership :-) But really, isn't it better to have a smaller, more active group?
Koontzland got mentioned in an online article written by one of our group members. Check it out & feel free to comment/ vote if you liked the article:

Yes, I would rather have active members than hundreds of inactive members. Everyone is busy so I completely understand that we all check in here when we have time. I really enjoy hearing from other Koontz readers and taking part in some discussion and fun debates.
Maxine, you're our 49th group member! Welcome to Koontzland and thanks for joining the discussions already :-)

:-) Your names (Al is usually a boy's name - is it short for Allyson or something) and profile picture(yours has a male picture). You said you are sisters. The way Al was writing she just seemed female but anyway I was starting to get confused.
