You are simply a wealth of information. If I recall correctly, Shattered also starts out in an Eastern State - I think it was New York.
Nope. I just checked and it was Philadelphia.

I haven't read that one yet.

My name is Carmen. I kinda come and go between the US and the Yucatan, bringing my suitcase of books with me.
Love Dean Koontz

Here's an interesting bit of trivia: "carmen" means "song" in Latin. :-)

Jason, that is a lot of Koontz books! When did you start reading him?

I started reading Koontz's books in July 2008, so it will have taken me exactly 3 years by the end of this month to have read 57 of his books (almost 20 per year).

Welcome Valerie :-) I think Life Expectancy would be an Awesome movie too. Do you have experience writing screenplays?

Welcome, Mary. It's nice to have another Brit in the group to increase diversity and make the discussions all the more interesting. :-) By the way, that's very impressive that you have read nearly all of Koontz's 120-130 books. How did you get all the rare and very expensive ones from his early scifi days?

Hi Tina, my name is Amy and I'm also looking for friends that love to read Dean's books. From your profile, it looks as if we like alot of the same authors.

I did. Some of my favorites actually. :)

:-) Welcome to Koontzland Jewel!
I suggest you read Life Expectancy that's my personal favorite and our current group read for August - there's still time.
I also recommend By the Light of the Moon that's my second favorite. Another great one is Cold Fire, just to name a few. I enjoyed Lightning - hope you did too.
From the group homepage, you can check out our favorites & recommendations threads for more ideas.

The book that got me hooked was Watchers ;)

I received my first Koontz novel ("The Door to December") from a friend for my 15th birthday and devoured it! I have since read nearly everything by Koontz (except for several of the older/rare books) and have a collection that I'm quite proud of. My absolute favorites are the Chris Snow books and the Odd Thomas series, but what can I say? I love them ALL! Life Expectancy, The Good Guy, Velocity are also very high on the list ;) So anyway, HI!

Books mentioned in this topic

Jason of the Borg, 54 seems like an insane amount of Koontz books - are you sure you really read that many? By your calculations, what is the total number of ..."
You can verify that number yourself in my initial post in the "What Koontz books do you own?" thread. I think he's written 120-130. The other 3 states are Pennsylvania (Twilight Eyes, etc.), New York (Strangers), and Massachusetts (Strangers).
