54) Read a book from your TBR list whose male protagonist is a celebrity.
55) Go through your Goodreads TBR list and delete at least one book you’re no longer interested in reading. You can delete more than one if you wish to. Please mention how many books you deleted.

Please note: The TBR list is the list of all the books you wish to read. It could be stored anywhere with you. It can include your Goodreads TBR list but it's not necessarily limited to it—except when you're doing task #55.

The books can be of any genre.

You have to read a different book for each task.

The books read for other challenges can be used here if they meet the requirements.

You can select any of the following levels:

Level 1 = 10 Tasks
Level 2 = 11 to 15 Tasks
Level 3 = 16 to 20 Tasks
Level 4 = 21 to 25 Tasks
Level 5 = 26 to 30 Tasks
Level 6 = 31 to 35 Tasks
Level 7 = 36 to 40 Tasks
Level 8 = 41 to 45 Tasks
Level 9 = 46 to 50 Tasks
Level 10 = 51 to 55 Tasks

The challenge duration is one year.

You can start anytime and set your challenge duration from:

(a) the date you join, or
(b) the 1st of the month you join, or
(c) the 1st of January

You may backdate if you wish.

For example:

If you start the challenge on 15th April 2025 but set your challenge duration from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026. Then you can also use the books you read between 1st April 2025 to 14th April 2025.

Or if you start the challenge on 15th April 2025 but set your challenge duration from 1st Jan 2025 to 31st Dec 2025. Then you can also use the books you read between 1st Jan 2025 to 14th April 2025.

Once the year is up, you would have to change the status from "ongoing" to "complete" or "incomplete"—whatever the case might be—and end the challenge.

If you complete the challenge before the one-year deadline then you can change the status and end the challenge on that date only.

Once you've ended the challenge, you can do it again in a new template with a new start date and a new challenge number.

Interested in participating? If yes then copy the blank template below, paste it into a new comment, and start your challenge!

Karen (xkamx) | 99 comments Dang it. Ramla! Another good challenge! I was taking baby steps--b-a-b-y steps. However, this one doesn't seem like it will mess with how I like to read too much, so I may be in--depending on time--with a start date of 01/01/2025.

Sadly, I've already identified at least four categories I (most likely) won't hit and a few more that are iffy. I can't see myself crossing off the last one because once I've TBRed something, it tends to stay on the list forever. It may find itself moved farther and farther down the list, but never (rarely) off completely, especially if I've read anything by the author. Though, I have deleted--again, rarely--whole authors' files (unread), so maybe.

The good news is that keeping things forever (mostly) makes it easy to find things on my list that have been there for days, weeks, months, and years (and years!). The first three are a lock!

We'll see how organized I can get... May be back to join, but am definitely coming back to see how y'all are doing. Good luck!
