Patterson's Bluff #2

Her Aussie Holiday

Rate this book
Cora Cabot’s life is falling apart. So when her Australian friend announces she’s secured an internship in the States, Cora has a brilliant idea: house swap! Small-town Australia sounds like the perfect getaway. Only, when she gets there, the house isn’t empty. Turns out her friend’s hot Australian brother is staying there, too—and he doesn’t look happy to see her.

The last thing Trent Walters needs is a roommate for the summer. Especially an American who immediately floods the house and single-handedly destroys the family project his sister created for their parents’ anniversary. Now, not only does Cora insist on helping fix the house, he needs her help re-creating the family scrapbook. And glitter is not his forte.

But between late nights cooking, pints at the local pub, and competitive matches of cricket on the beach, Cora starts to break through Trent’s defenses. Too bad Cora made a promise to return to working with her father at the end of the summer—a promise she can’t break—because this holiday is starting to feel like one she never wants to end.

A sweet small town summer romance. Cora needs a break and Liv needs a place to stay in New York, so the two decide to do a house swap. Cora is so elated when she gets to the little isolated cottage in Australia, that is until she starts the shower and the water starts going everywhere. Fortunately for her Liv’se older brother Trent missed the memo that his sister was letting someone stay at her house. Thinking he will camp out on his sister’s couch He is surprised to find someone in the cottage and even more surprised to see the water spraying everywhere. But Trent acts quickly gets the water shut off and the two of them begin to clean up the damage. I’m sure you know where this story is going, but the journey getting there was so fun. A gorgeous setting, charming characters, adorable banter, all the feels, what more can you ask for from a romance?

This book was pure magic. I adored both of these characters so much. Cora was just so kind and caring, I felt for her and her insecurities. Her parents were not very supportive and her mother was despicable. Trent on the other hand comes from a loving supportive family, but he’s got a secret. He’s also got rock hard abs and a heart of gold. Now I have to admit it was a little awkward for me reading about a male love interest named Trent because that is my oldest son’s name. Of course I do think Trent was a great guy, because you know his name is Trent. LOL! But seriously these two were adorable together and I was really rooting for them the entire time.

This book in emojis 🐛 🚿 🦜 🏏 🍑 🎂 🏖 🛠 📖 🦋

Favorite Quotes:

Cora’s childhood could be best summed up as: may result in therapy.

Seriously? Did you hop into the DeLorean and travel back to high school?

I am the least creative person in my family. Seriously, my Christmas decorations were so bad as a kid, I caught my mum hiding them around the back of the tree whenever we had guests over… I can’t blame her. My ‘Christmas rocket’ really did look like a sparkly dick.

“I’ve heard about this.” Cora wrinkled her nose as the traffic-sign-yellow label on the jar of mysterious dark brown stuff. “Tell me, do Aussies really eat this or is it a mean prank you play on tourists?” Nick gasped and pressed a hand to his chest… “Excuse me,” he said, “but Vegemite is a national delicacy.”

My Review:

I’m enjoying this amusing yet thoughtfully written series with the second installment being just as entertaining and engaging as the first. The books are standalone yet involve the same family members and continue on from the previous publication. The storylines were relatable and held my interest with family drama, a sizzling new romance, Aussie assimilation, and amusing humor. The characters were uniquely flawed yet endearing, admirably hardworking, and highly likable human beings. As this brother turned out to be the opposite of what I was expecting, I am looking forward to seeing what this clever author does with the next family member.

Stefanie London never fails me with one of her stories they are moving, filled with emotion, there are lots of smiles and lots of happy and the best heroes and heroines and I am loving this series I do love a story set near the beach and this one hits the spot, we are back with the Walters family and this time we see Trent win the love of his life with the beautiful American Cora Cabot.

Cora has been having a terrible time with her family, living in New York with famous parents is not all what it should be and she desperately needs a break when her Australian friend Liv needs a place to stay in New York Cora suggests a house swap for a month, this will give her time to work on her book and work on what she really wants, only thing is she had no idea Liv’s brother Trent was also staying at the house and their first meeting which involves lots of water is not what either expected.

Trent comes from a loving family and is known as the town charmer but he keeps a secret close and is always doing things for everyone else he has a heart of gold and is very good looking. He is staying at his sister’s place and doing some renovations while she is away not realising that there is soon to be a visitor, a beautiful visitor, when water causes a problem Cora and Trent have to work closely to replace a present, and this brings them very close and a fun time with glitter.

Both Trent and Cora have issues from their past that they need to let go of if they want to have a future but with the sensual pull between them growing things are moving very quickly Cora is feeling very comfortable in Patterson’s Bluff and very happy with Trent and Trent is finally seeing who he is and what he really wants in life Cora has helped him so much. Their love grows and sparkles in such a beautiful way, it had me smiling and cheering them on. I do highly recommend this one for any romance reader that is looking for a feel good, sexy wonderful romance. Thank you MS London for another fabulous read.

My thanks to the author for my copy to read and review

With Her Aussie Holiday, Stefanie London adds another delightfully sweet and sexy tale to her collection.

Cora Cabot is in need of inspiration and the perfect place to go landed on her lap when she and an Australian friend decided to house swap. But she never thought she’s have extra inspiration in the form of her friend’s hot brother who’s also staying at there.

Even though Trent Walters wasn’t happy with Cora’s arrival, especially after she flooded the house and ruined an anniversary present for his parents, the two find a fun balance while she starts to chip away his trust issues. But what will happen to their blossoming relationship when Cora’s holiday is over?

This story unfolds in a very lighthearted and enjoyable way from both points of view. Trent is a fun loving, carefree guy who loves his family and will do anything to help them, but he does have a secret. Growing up in a very different family environment and wanting nothing more than her parents’ love and acceptance she is the ying to hi yang. And while their chemistry comes to a boil, the two get to know each other over house renovations, crafts and competitive cricket.

I really enjoyed this small town, slow burn read. Especially while getting to know all the charming characters and not just Cora and Trent which has made me want to go back and read the first book in the Patterson’s Bluff series.

Her Aussie Holiday is book #2 of the Patterson’s Bluff series by author Stefanie London. It is a standalone contemporary romance, told from both points of view with a happy ending.

Performance-anxiety-ridden Cora has swapped her glitzy New York apartment for her Australian online buddy Liz’s fixer-upper for a month. Cora works for her high powered dad, a literary agent, who recently read and rejected her first novel, giving her the tough-love letdown that he felt was best coming from him rather than a rough industry. (And the least said about Mommy Dearest, the better.)

So Cora arrives at Liz’s funky house way out in the countryside, feels stress slipping away . . . until she tries to take a shower and the plumbing springs a spectacular leak. Cue Liz’s hot brother Trent walking in right then—thinking she’s an invader.

But the misunderstanding doesn’t last long. Trent demonstrates his awesomeness by taking Cora, and the situation, in stride. He’s a construction worker, determined to make Liz’s house over for her before she comes back. He and Cora decide to stay there together—of course it helps that they are instantly attracted to one another.

And so things begin to unfold in the way one expects a romance to unfold, including going from vertical to horizontal by mid-book, and leading toward the “this is only a vacation, what happens here stays here” conversation that doesn’t quite mask the hurt before we reach the HEA. There is a secret or two discovered, but for the most part, the story follows romance tropes in a thoroughly enjoyable fashion, right down to the lively, enjoyable side characters.

I enjoyed this story, especially the first half as we got to know the Australian characters, and Cora tried to cope with the klutziness that can spring from the sort of toxic upbringing she’d been subjected to while surrounded by wealth and power. The second half pretty much coasted on this buildup, with a single secret driving things—which was fine. If the reader is looking for an entertaining, low-stress summer read, this book will fit the bill. But I couldn’t help wishing the author’s excellent writing skills had delved a bit deeper into both characters’ damages, so we’d have the pleasure of seeing their growth. From the quality of the prose, she’s definitely got the chops.

What I loved⁣:

–The house swapping plot. It felt like a blend of the movie The Holiday and a HGTV home improvement show. Plus, I’m always down for a fun, forced proximity trope and I thought a house swap idea was a great way to play with this trope.

–The chemistry. Loved the tension and banter between Cora and Trent. The story starts right away with the two of them meeting and from the very beginning their attraction was magic. I was worried when I saw that the book was on the shorter side that the chemistry would feel rushed or forced, but I never felt that.

–Joe the cockatoo. The MVP of HAH was definitely Joe! He stole every scene he was in!

Why I didn’t give it 5🌟⁣:

–The ex-girlfriend issue. I wasn’t a huge fan of the whole she-looks-exactly-like-my-ex problem.

Rating 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟/5

This is the second book in the series but works well as a standalone - I know because I haven't read the first book and thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Patterson's Bluff is a seaside resort in Australia where the Walters family live. When Liv Walters gets an internship in the US, she agrees with her friend that they'll do a house swap for a month, which is how Cora Cabot ends up staying there. Cora is ready for a change of scene after drama with her high profile parents, breaking up with her fiancé and having her draft novel rejected - by her father! She thinks she'll be staying alone in Liv's home but Trent Walters has moved in to work on the property - thank goodness, after Liv inadvertently causes a flood! As the temperature rises, so does the attraction between these two, but both have had nasty breakups and she's only there for a month. . . . Will they be able to resist each other?

This is a lovely story to escape into. Trent has to take a lot of flack from his siblings but he also has an important secret. He's a charmer who always seems to put the needs of others ahead of himself. Cora has little self confidence and lives in the shadow of her narcissistic mother who sounds like a total nightmare! As Trent and Cora work together to rectify the family scrapbook damaged in the flood, they also help each other in so many different ways. Cora has a caterpillar tattoo and that is so symbolic in this story which is all about growing and changing . . . . but what happens at the end of her month's stay? You'll have to read it to find out for yourself!

Thank you to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

She who leaves a trail of glitter is never forgotten...

Patterson's Bluff has bewitched me yet again. Cora from Manhattan house swaps with her friend Liv who is from Australia. Cora desperately needs some alone time from all the drama of her breakup, her family and overall frustrations of her life at the present time. When she meets Trent, Liv's older brother, he is like a breath of ocean air. He seems to give off an aura of being carefree and live for the moment kind of man. Making future plans are not in his vocabulary. Trent has a strong love for family and helping everyone but himself. Cora and Trent's chemistry is instant, but both have emotional issues that causes a standstill in furthering their relationship to go to the next level.

As their story progresses, we see the changes and revelations they both experience in facing their fears and dipping their toes into the deep end. I loved watching them both flourish towards each other. Another fun and entertaining love story by Stefanie London.

I loved this story! Cora was a bid damaged and ready to get away to find herself. Trent had his own issues with his life (no spoilers). Their meet cute was awesome! The glitter mishap was hilarious. They worked together to fix the album, and they learned how to move forward together.

This was a cute story that I felt like lost steam pretty early on.

It's instant attraction for the two main characters and Cora decides that since this is her holiday, she's going to throw caution to the wind and not think and be a person she isn't normally. Because of that, there's a pretty heavy makeout session pretty early on and then they have sex by 50%. Not a big issue. But then the rest of the plot just feels flat comparatively. Even though Cora was only there for a month, they had sex so early on that they fell into a normal, relationship-type routine which was obviously building up for the whole "I want you to stay/But I can't stay" conversation. And then that conversation was so quick, so rushed, so... I guess I just wasn't bought fully in to their relationship? They had such good chemistry at first that then fizzled into pure lust and companionship.

I almost DNF'd this one because I felt like I was forcing myself to finish it, and in 2020, that is the last way I want to be spending my time. BUT I did finish it, because the subplots were intriguing enough and the writing was done really well, and I just hate DNF'ing book. Ms. London told a beautiful story and weaved in all the parts really well. It's just a bit of a slower story, I guess; low tension, low stakes, and low buy in on my part. I don't mind slower plots, but this one was just... the romance wasn't slow, but everything else was. I guess wasn't the right reader for this story.

The chemistry at the beginning was great, the writing, character development, the capterpiller subplot - all great. I loved the setting and Ms. London painted it so perfectly that I'm ready to pack my own bags and head down under. I'd definitely read Ms. London again in the future.

Cora needs a break from her NYC life after a bad break and her family’s dysfunction. Cora’s online friend Liv needed a place to stay during a month-long unpaid internship. The perfect solution is for Liv and Cora to house swap.
Liv heads to the Big Apple and Cora is headed to small coastal town in Australia.

Trent, Liv older brother, seems to be a bit of a dandelion seed. In the wind and floating around. He doesn’t seem attached to much but his family. He is afraid to start working on his dream home. He moved out from his roommate after his roommate moved in his girlfriend. While everyone calls him the town charmer you can tell he uses it to hide himself.
When these two meet it is instant chemistry. Cora decides that being holiday she can allow herself to be who she is without worry of her family pressures. I loved her comparison to being a caterpillar. She does come across as very weak while bending to her family’s mold and ideals. I found her to be slightly spineless. I wish she had pushed back against her father’s criticisms instead of taking them so easily.
The plot of the story does drag along. While we have small glimpses at some deeper stuff it is just slow. Even though Cora was only there for a month, you could tell this was going to fall into the relationship pattern very easily causing the very predictable it is only a vacation fling you will forget me conversation. The conversation was rushed, and I felt that they easily just accepted it as it was. With the strong attraction at the beginning I expected more emotional push and pull and that never really developed for me.

It is hard to have a slow burn relationship romance with instant chemistry in the confines of a vacation fling. If you are looking for a low key read then this is an ok story.

The chemistry at the beginning was wonderful, it is a well written story with very likeable characters. The quiet Aussie town is a great setting. It just needed a little more. This was a 3/5 read for me. I just needed more. I was expecting a bit more laughs, a bit more emotion, and to be a bit more invested in the story.

Cora is used to being rejected by her parents but when her father criticizes the project she worked so hard on she has hit a new low. The opportunity to switch houses with her friend couldn’t have come at a better time as spending the summer in Australia will give her the chance to regroup but her friend’s brother was a surprise she wasn’t expecting.

Trent knew that his sister would be away, so he wanted to surprise her by completing some renovations to her home while she was gone. Finding Cora in the house was a surprise he wasn’t expecting especially when she appears to leave chaos in her wake.

What started out as an arrangement to become roommates and to work together to complete not only the house but a gift for his parents as well soon becomes much more but with their time together having an expiry date is there any other way for this to end but in heartbreak?

These two are exactly what each other needs in their life as Trent showed Cora that she was perfect just the way she was while she shows Trent that there is more to life than the way he has been living it. Fun and flirty I enjoyed watching their relationship unfold and there is a great cast of secondary characters to enhance the story.

I just didn’t enjoy this as much as the first one because of the reason for The Black Moment. It just seemed a bit childish and ridiculous to me for Cora to behave in that manner. I enjoyed the rest of the book and Trent’s dramatic story. I just really disliked their reason for separating.

Honestly, I LOVED getting to know our Cora and Trent BOTH...and I couldn't wait to see if things would get REALLY interesting. There was so much up in the air throughout the book...Cora's life there versus here...the destroyed anniversary gift...the secret uncovered...Trent's tendency to help others over himself...and oh the sparks that could fly if given half the chance! From the moment the meet cute happened to the turning of the last epage, I WAS HOOKED.

I simply couldn't keep my hands off it, even if I wanted to (and why would I?) and the ending, while momentarily making your heart drop, delivered so much more than you could imagine! It truly was a fabulous holiday down under, but while the escape was fantastic, it reminds us of a few things as well. I know, I know...it's a HOLIDAY and I'm getting all heavy with meaning, but hear me out. It reminds us that we can run from life, but we can't hide...and it will eventually catch up with us. It's our choice how and when we confront it, and our right to make it our own. Everyone is entitled to their BEST life, to chase their dreams, to have someone they care for a well as someone who makes them their world as well. Everyone deserves the support of friends, and family...and if that last one isn't happening with blood relations, so be it; choose your own crew.

HARD recommendation for adult Contemporary Romance fans (due to limited content) because really, you SO need to read this and what better way to kiss summer goodbye than with a virtual vaca?!

This is the second book in the “Patterson’s Bluff” series and a delightful continuation that includes two sexy characters being forced to share a home, while experiencing the ups and downs of learning to live a fuller life. A flirty and adventurous romance that captured my attention and made my heart ache.

Blurb: Cora, who is just plain exhausted with the drama in her life, decides to swap houses with her friend who lives in Australia. What she expected to be a relaxing and solitary vacation, ends up being filled with adventure and a housemate, who just so happens to be her friend’s brother. Passions ignite and their budding friendship turns into so much more.

This one can be read as a stand-alone and was a tender surprise for me! I didn’t read the first book and I wasn’t lost at all. I didn’t expect to fall so completely in love with these two characters. Cora and Trent are struggling to find themselves, but continue to love and forgive despite the rejection they’ve faced. The two bring out the best in each other and some of my favorite moments involved glitter, scrapbooking, and Trent throwing Cora a birthday party. A sweet summer romance with a relaxing Australian setting. I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

✨ 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 ✨⁣

As I close out this beautiful Sunday, I have to gush about 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 by Stefanie London.⁣

Thank you to @tlcbooktours and @entangled_publishing for the gifted e-galley! I saved this book for just about last on my August TBR because I knew I’d fly through it! ⁣

A truly cute romcom about Cora Cobalt who agrees to house swap with her friend from Australia in exchange for a change in scenery to escape her life which seems to be falling apart. When Cora arrives she finds her friend’s home is not empty, in fact, her friend’s brother, Trent is there...Trent wanting to surprise his sister is taken by surprise himself when he finds his sister’s house flooded by no one other than Cora! Things blossom from there as you can expect but in such a sweet way! ⁣

To the book that made me wish I was jet setting to a beach somewhere, in particular Australia (minus the mention of a huntsman 😳😱 - GOOGLE AT YOUR OWN RISK)...I loved the build up between Cora and Trent and the ease of writing. Cora (parents) and Trent (cheating ex) both battling their own pasts, leaned into one another in perfect timing. This RomCom has perfect pacing to me and while not the longest read, nothing in my opinion was missing. Every now and then, that’s exactly what I need in a book! 𝘏𝘦𝘳 𝘈𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘺 is a super quick little romcom that is the perfect binge worthy Sunday read. ⁣

I’m not on the beach right now ( a girl can dream) but this would be the perfect beach read too!! Have you read any of Stefani London’s books? This for sure won’t be my last! ⁣

This is part of the Patterson’s Bluff series but is read as a standalone. A house swap in Australia that comes with an unplanned roommate. My O My - what could possibly go wrong. Cora's decided that the answer to her crumbling life was a house swap and a vacation in Australia. Things take a different turn when her friend's brother is staying in the house. Needless to say, he's not a happy camper when she shows up. The book is well written and the characters are entertaining. Their back and forth banter was hilarious at times. A slow-burn romance that went from enemies to lovers. Lots of family demands that make choices harder. It was an enjoyable read but was slow-moving at times. I read an arc via Net Galley and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Read in a day! I loved the banter, the chemistry and the dream setting! Honestly I wish I could go to this small town, it seems the perfect escapism. As in book one (The Aussie Next Door) the family dynamic was great. (But the plot twist was maybe a bit too much? Like, why add it?). The romance was good, I could definitely see the sparks between Cora and Trent. But it was annoying that Cora constantly reminded Trent that what was between them was just physical, only for fun, and temporary. And I also wasn't a fan of the conflict at the end.

She went back to a place that she was running away from and that she had no reason to go back to when she had every reason to stay in Australia. And I don't like long time jumps. But it was still a good story. 4/5⭐

Her Aussie Holiday is the perfect beachy summer read.
Cora is needing a break from the hustle of city life and her parents. She switches houses with her old friend Liv who has a cute beach bungalow that is just what Cora needs to decompress and maybe finally write that novel that is in her head!
Trent is a contractor and Liv's older brother. He decides now is the perfect time to renovate his sister's house since she is away. He never expected to find a lovely city gal staying there and now they are sharing the same place. A cute, sexy read with great characters.

What a super enjoyable romance!

Trent and Cora had a chance meeting when Cora swaps her New York home with her friend, Liv in Australia. When Trent knew Liv was going to be gone, he decided to squat in her home, unknowing Cora would be there, to rewrite her novel, and "grow her wings".

The slow-growing chemistry, the heat, the friendships, and the awkwardness between these characters was all so great! I really liked the storyline and the smile this book put on my face.
I enjoyed the continuous flow of characters from previous books by Author Stefanie London, and love the family characters in Her Aussie Holiday! 4.25 stars!

I loved this book! It is well written and the characters are delightful and well developed. This romantic, touching story about two wounded people, from very different worlds just tugged at me. I wanted to watch as they evolved. I hoped for a HEA, no matter how slim the chance. I couldn’t put it down. Romance, angst, characters to love and a few to hate- what’s not to like?

This is my honest review of this advance reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

Initial thoughts: This book was everything. It was such an amazing gift to read. It gave me all the feels that I was wanting, along with lots of surprises and twists. I was so invested in in Cora and Trent’s romance that I didn’t want to walk away. These two touched me so much. I loved how their love helped them heal and grow in order to become stronger and more fulfilled people. I cheered when they both made huge emotional strides at the end. I loved. Loved. Loved this story.

ONCE AGAIN MAJOR PLOT SPOILERS AHEAD, THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING

Review:

From the first chapter, I was immediately hooked with the first meeting of Trent and Cora. It was funny. It was awkward, yet it set up the chemistry that was simmering between the moments that their eyes met. It was a different type of first meeting than typical romances. Plus it set up why Trent and Cora were spending so much time together by renovating Trent’s sister’s and Cora’s friend, who was staying there in a house swap situation in order to get away from things, house as well as the flood that Cora unknowingly caused, which caused some damage to a family album.

As they spend more and more time together, they really develop a very nice rapport. They became friends and start to understand each other. Trent introduced Cora to his small Australian town, friends, and family. They had some really fun moments that were very entertaining especially during those flirty banter moments. Their connection just continued to grow as did their attraction to one another.

What I liked a lot was the pacing of their relationship. Despite the fact that the connection and attraction were there, they didn’t hop right into things. They took it slow and enjoyed moments that they did have together. Even though they shared a very heated kiss, Trent had a very honest and open conversation with Cora before progressing to the next level. He wanted to make sure that she was a hundred percent for this just physical relationship between them before they actually engaged in one. He didn’t want her to have any doubts. If she was even a little bit unsure, he didn’t want to proceed with anything further. That was what happened, which I really appreciated and showed how much Trent respected her and her choices.

Once they did decide to have fling, their love scenes were very hot and spicy, building on the chemistry and the connection that they already had, which made it more intense between them. By the point it was very clear that they were all in with each other even if they said it was just physical it was really more than that. They indulged in pleasure but more in each other. It showed how they closer with every physical interaction that they had. It was glorious.

There were a lot of things going on for each of them emotionally. it was sad. It was intense, but added such flavor to their romance as they talked about it with each other and began to understand how these thing effected their lives. They really just had some great moments of conversation and connection where both healing and understanding took place. Those moments were just so special to me. It showed how involved they were truly with each other. It helped one another while they had those conversations.

There were a couple of twist and turns that I didn’t see coming. I wasn’t sure how it was going to play out. I could have seen going multiple ways so I was anxious to see how it would go and how it would effect their romance. Plus it just added another layer to the story that I was already falling in love with.

There were some really tearful moments. I kind knew it was coming, but as it was it just felt like such a sucker punch to the gut because I could see how much it broke Trent’s heart as she pushed him away. The entire time that this scene was happening I kept saying “Don’t do it. Don’t break his heart.” Then it happened, I was just dying and the tears pouring out my eyes. The way it was written I could feel every single blow to Trent. It was so hard to read. I didn’t know how he was going to come back from that, but luckily they did come back from that. It was done in a very satisfying way that warmed my heart again.

Before I conclude this review, I want to talk about Trent, and how much I loved him. He was the ultimate book boyfriend. He was so sweet, loving, and loyal to those around him, yet the boy was broken over things that happened in his past. He had such a gut wrenching journey that I loved and hated going on with him. The way he took care of everyone especially Cora was so beautiful. He really got the meat of her psyche by book’s end and even early on and acted accordingly. I loved the cricket scene with his friends and family where he was so encouraging of her while she learned to play cricket. He was very positive and caring when she was feeling very insecure during that time. That made me swoon so much. My swoon doubled when he found out that it was her birthday and decided to throw her a kid’s birthday party because she never had them when she was a child. It touched my heart so much when he did that. I knew after that he was all in with her because he was falling in love with her. It showed that he wanted to show her how special she was. Then the scene in the epilogue with Cora’s father just touched me and had me tearing up all at the same time because such a testament to his feelings for her and knowing how much that meant other. It was so beautiful, so special. Then there was the whole pendant thing. He was the quintessential romantic lead doing all these romantic and grand gestures to show his feelings and well as just showing her how special she was to him. It was incredible. He was the ultimate swoony hero. A hero that will always stick in my heart forever.

Overall, there are not enough words to go into how much I loved this romance, and the characters of Trent and Cora. Going into it, it seemed to be an interesting concept that could be a pretty good story, but nothing could have prepared for me how awesome it truly was. It was so much more than I thought it was going to be. It was a lot more emotional than I thought it was going to be. It was very impactful with some really hard yet touching moments. There were moments that freaking broke my heart and had me tearing up. It made me laugh with Cora and Trent having some very playful and fun interactions. There was connection. There was passion. It had great family dynamics. There were twists and turns and everything in between. It had everything going for it. It just had everything that I wanted and even more than I thought I wanted. For me this was perfection.

I loved this story so much that I want a physical copy so I can reread it again because I want to go on this romantic journey with Cora and Trent all over again so I could feel the feels as well as the heartbreaks then triumphs and the deep love. It was just so good.

Highly recommend for romance lovers everywhere that love to feel all the feels with some drama, angsty, intensity, and heartbreaking yet satisfying love story in the end. It was so worth the ride especially with all the twists and turns along the way. It was very addictive and hard to put down so keep that in mind when you pick this one up.

**I received a copy of Her Aussie Holiday from Entangled Publishing and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinion was not solicited in any way.**

Her Aussie Holiday by Stefanie London is a fantastic addition to her Patterson's Bluff series. Ms. London writes this town so that while reading you can almost envision yourself walking down the street. I'd love to visit this town someday but for now will keep on reading her books. I'd give this book more than 5 Stars if I could as it's worth it that and more.

Cora Cabot has always wanted one thing to be loved by her parents for who she is and as an author especially by her literary agent father. But his opinion of her rough draft broke her heart enough to agree to a house swap with her friend Liv to swap her NYC home for a Australia cottage. She didn't expect Trent or a disconnected water pipe nor did she know that she'd find a family who loved her as she is in Patterson's Bluff. But she does and even learns how to scrapbook a memory album.

Trent Walters has a secret that his siblings don't know but he does everything for them even putting his dream home on the side for whatever they need. When he gets to his sister's cottage to see flooded rooms and a drenched Cora he'll be angry but mostly at himself. They'll spend her month in OZ learning about each other and also finding that it's better to be first than last when it comes to themselves. But when he sends her manuscript to his father to read will Cora be able to forgive or will she return to NYC to try to repair her own fractured family?
