Yeah - there have been a few times when short lists have been better for me, too. But this month I'm trying to finish up so many challenges (most individual) that my reading is going to be all over the place.....
That's why I chose a long one. Many of the books I am trying to finish this year are on it.Looking forward to glancing at the other lists as well.

Totally get that! I'm no longer so employed, but I still hardly read anything in the second half of december. just too busy!
I third that sentiment!!!! I have read very little the last couple of weeks. I have spent more time catching up on tv series that I missed over the year than reading.
Although, since I wasn't in a big team challenge at the end, I will be able to finish up my TBR challenge. So, I feel a sense of accomplishment. Or I will shortly anyway.

Donna -I had a thought about the challenge and I decided I'd mention it over here, rather than cluttering up the new thread.
It's somewhat unusual for graphic novels, fiction or nonfiction, to make it onto the majority of lists that we end up using. With the demise of Graphic Novel Mania, would you consider allowing graphic novels to count for Listopia Madness?
Of course I don't know how all the other readers feel about this idea, but I doubt it would amount to more than one or two a month, maximum.

Monthly Challenge: December 2023
Welcome to our monthly Listopia Madness challenge. It is a relatively simple challenge. Every month you will get 3 listopia lists from me and 3 from the winners of the previous month. *Please note that if you do not respond in a reasonable amount of time that the 4th place person (and so on) will replace you until we get 3 lists.
How it works
📘You will read as many books as you want from as many of the lists provided as you want.
📘You will score each book using the point system provided below
📘You will keep a running tally of your total in your post (try to keep your books in one comment, if possible for easy tracking)
📘I will contact the 3 highest-scoring readers at the end of the month and they will each choose one listopia list to be included in the next month's challenge.
