Yes, a lot of world building in this one. It does get more active in the other books, if I'm remembering correctly.

Lisa, I'm not sure this will count - the cover says Joel Abernathy writing as L.C. Davis. To me that is not two authors, but one author writing under a pseudonym. I would want that confirmed by Jane before committing to it.

Christy, please add the page count to your Selection Post. Your link goes to a Kindle edition with 406 pages, so use that. Thanks!

Oh good, I'm glad you have another book!
You would need both an updated selection (should be labeled as updated) and a completion.

Review: Doc and Wren. Doc isn't as scary a Dom as the previous books allude to. Super sweet when it comes to Wren and all he has to go through.

Review: this was cute! I did feel the writing wasn't the best and there was a lot of moments I felt like zoning out but I do think most of the characters were fleshed out well and the romance made sense.
I did enjoy the random songs/raps throughout. They did make me focus back in again and mentioning rugby made me really happy. It's such an overlooked sport for romance and it's so huge here (and the world cup is on!!

Really enjoyed this book and the series. And I loved Renee Raudman's narration! This series felt more disconnected than other series but the authors. More like each book stood on its own even though there are some overlapping characters and they are all set in the same world. I did like Richard and Charlotte together, but that ending got a little stressful. And it was good to see more about George and Jack as they are growing up.

Fingers crossed for you!

Awesome start, especially since we have an extra week for the first theme. 😊

Review: I mentioned I was nervous about reading this book, but I ended up really enjoying it. It was so great to read something new from Jennifer Crusie! It had a lot in common with her previous books, but also felt new. She and Bob Meyer make a great writing team. (It is also possible nostalgia made me generous with my rating).

I think you are good. If Jane asks for a correction it is best to repost though because it saves her from having to hunt for an earlier post.

I wasn't sure what to expect as I hunted this down for the challenge, and was pleasantly surprised. There was a lot of feeling in this story. The authors did a really good job of getting you into the heads of these characters and introducing you to the Maverick Billionaires. I've already started the 2nd in the series.

And now we have a week to relax and finish up other challenges before the next theme call.

Yes - as Kat said - until I check, its easier to just update the post if something is missing. I try to mark when I've done a check :)

I'm glad that you asked in the Q&A. I'm pretty sure that you can use any edition, but always nice to get confirmation from Jane.

And while I'm thinking about it, I will be out of town from late on October 7th through late on October 18th. Visiting my son and celebrating my father's 80th birthday. I will have my computer with me - I need it to deal with TART and plan to have plenty of books loaded on both my phone and iPad too.

This was not exactly as I expected but very good. The chemistry between the leads was amazing and the meet-cute with the dogs played very well. It was a much deeper story than expected and was very sad to see it end.

Typical for this author, but that totally works for me! Great MCs who both had to overcome prior beliefs and expectations of themselves and others. Quirky characters and setting too - which just adds to the fun! I can't wait for more! Great narration by Michael Dean is the cherry on top of my Sunday Sundae!

Review: Overall, the book was great. The characters remained engaging through the trilogy, storytelling was of course great! However, if I were to truly critique the trilogy, I’d say that it’s not a very good fantasy story. Ton of world building in book 1, very little movement in the story till the very last chapter of book 3, when the villain is abruptly defeated. If you’re looking for an engaging, quick paced fantasy novel, I’d skip this one. But if you’d like to read about the beautiful journey a woman goes through in discovering herself, this trilogy should definitely be on the top of the list!

Review:
conflicted a bit on this! Really liked the romance and relationship between Lucie & Tristan, and how full a character they both felt - especially Lucie. She was her own person, had very real and consistent worries and had her flaws that made her. I don't like reading books that bring up colonising without any thought behind it and it really did real like ignorance on the long last effects of it. Not in malice but it's there enough I couldn't ignore it.

Review: I am a little conflicted about this book. I really wanted to like it. I like the books Sarah Honey writes with Lisa Henry, so this one seemed like a fun choice. But, I didn't love it. I was a little bored. Honestly, there was too much sex and not enough plot. The second half was better, but I had kinda lost interest by then. I liked the characters enough that I want to read the next book in the series, so we'll see if it is any better.
