That is one of the very few books I've read more than once, just because I love the sizzle between them. Another favorite is the Duke of Westmoreland and Whitney in Judith McNaught's Whitney, my Love. Classic! (less)

At present, I don't have any other Cabot books planned. I felt like Mercy was too young where the series left her. But I may do a novella about her soon. I am starting a new series about English women and Scottish men. Stay tuned!

"Never surprised. I always love Julia's books. I loved the mile a minute talker Jenny, and the quiet Aden. I just wanted to laugh at her for the nonstop talking. I also enjoyed that we were focused mostly on them and not a lot of secondary characters." Read more of this review »

"Loved Emma! Well to be honest I loved to hate her at first but wow does she have her reason for being so closed off ! Leo, fantasticly outspoken and snarky! Cooper, perfect match for Emma! Great conclusion to the Pine River trilogy!"

Close the door. I’ll stay.
Ellie flushed dark, her lashes fluttered shut. “I…I don’t know what you say,” she murmured.
Liam dropped her hand, gently laid his at the base of her bare neck. Her skin was soft and warm against his callused palm, and he whispered in her ear,“I know.” He moved his head; his lips whisked across hers, shimmering like a whisper of silk.
He breathed her in once more, made himself remove his hand from her heated flesh.”

"How did her husband die?" Greer asked.
"I hardly know," Ava said with a shrug as she rocked Jonathan in her arms. "How do men typically die? A fall from a horse or some such thing."
"I scarcely believe scores of men are falling to their deaths from their saddles," Greer said drily.”

Ed Rambeau Thanks for accepting my friend request, Julia. You seem like an interesting person, as well as quite the prolific author, so feel free to tell me more about yourself. I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's. My first novel is an unusual murder mystery entitled: FORBIDDEN STEPS.

Regards, and have a great day, Ed
