Review: Okayyyy I'll start with a disclaimer that I absolutely hate love triangles, possibly even more than I hate eggplants lol! And this specific book had a lot of Falin vs Death scenes, which were exceedingly annoying. However, this series is a reread for me, so I know it won't last much longer.
In terms of the story itself, I thought there were some parts that were unnecessarily draggy, the "Falin-Queen-Alex" relationship trio is simply toxic. But the fae bits of the story were great and I will continue on.

I enjoyed this story just as much as before! The characters are great, almost too perfect if I were to nitpick. Beautiful setting described through the eyes of a real outsider and a touching ending. All topped off with Glen Lloyd's wonderful narration.

I can share mine if anybody is interested. Let me know if you need help finding something and I will see what I can find.

Any chance you have non mm books for 13 and 14?

I was looking at Ice Planet Barbarian books by Ruby Dixon for #13 - I found several on the Human - Alien M/F Erotica-Romance Books list. They are light and easy and don't require any brain power to listen to. They do require a suspension of reality, but that isn't bad - you just can't take them seriously.
And for #14 I have Blonde Date by Sarina Bowen, it is just over a hundred pages but in the middle of the series. It would be a reread for me.

Haha pretty sure I read ice planet barbarian on my final week of a past PTP! I’ll check these out, thank you Kat!

On that note - this is what we are missing as of now:
Week 8 - Christy's Completion Post
Week 10 - Aoife's and Christy's Selection Posts. And Aoife's, Michaele's and Christy's Completion Posts.

Probably, but it would be best to clear it with Jane.

Aoife, Jane responded to your question in the Q&A and said that she had ruled out small towns so your tag doesn't work. The book might still if there is another tag that does qualify or something in the precis. If you want you can let me know the book and I can help look for something.

It's just been a week of annoyances lol I am not having a good week but I can look for something on audio! I have my library, audible plus and scribd (everand?) so I'll find something :)

That book has 'wilderness-alone', 'remote-isolated-setting' and 'remote' as tags all on the first page. I did not find the tag you asked Jane about, but I see no reason that book would not work with those tags. Just use one of the ones listed as your qualifier and you should be good to go!
And I'm sorry you are having a rough week. 😢

I have half a list for the final tasks - I'll look for the others today

Week 10: 16. Instant Coffee - for when you are away from civilisation.
Task: Read a book set in the wilderness or in a remote location, or where at least one MC sleeps in a tent.
Book: Spell's Bells
Pages: 194
How it fits: remote x1 and remote-isolated-setting x1

Review:
I did like this wasn't about a murder - cosy mysteries are always murder but other mysteries exist too! This was a fun one. The fake dating was a little meh to me - I can half see the appeal but I just don't think it was a long enough book to explore that in a meaningful way.
I am enjoying the relationships between Emma and the other remedial witches. Also love that she's terrible at being a witch as the MC. It's a nice difference between basically every other "oh they didn't know they were X until blah happened"

I haven't finished yet, but I should tonight!

Aoife, a small review is required for this challenge. I doesn't have to be a lot, but enough to show that you did read the book. Also a rating is required. Please add those to your completion post. Thanks!

I figured you did because you had done it in all your other posts!

Remember for the last week, speed matters! The first team to have all their selections and completions for all the weeks done will win. We are in pretty good shape to try for this win. Also, all of our posts need to be complete and accurate - double check each other's selections and completions! When everyone has finished, if a winner hasn't been announced, we need to post in the Q&A to claim the win. So, if you are the last to finish don't forget to post in the Q&A too. It could take anywhere from several hours to 24 hours give or take for a team to win.
I will be away all day tomorrow, but am ready to go all my options loaded on my phone and earbuds packed! I seriously have all my options formatted for my selection and completion posts, so it will be easy to copy and paste into our team thread. Just have to add my reviews when I am done listening. 😊
Because I won't be here, please make sure you are watching the Q&A thread for the new theme announcement. If I see it first, I will post here so you all get a notification, but I will not be able to copy it into our thread. It's just too hard to do on my phone.
And after all that reminding and nagging, I feel like a mama duck trying to get all my little duckings in a row! 😂

Review: I love this book! I've read it a few times, I do have a little bit of a hard time with it since it deals with the first christmas after the loss of a parent and my mom passed away on christmas morning a couple years ago. Over all though, this is such a sweet book that I can handle a few tears.

I should be good to go tomorrow, the call should come before i'm on the plane. Which means i can listen/read on the plane and it's a short flight.

We can, but it will be for a different team. Jane will announce the team when she announces the last theme.
What I have done in the past when I couldn't find a book for the task was to have a couple of books in mind and then go look at all the other teams to find if someone there has read the book or a book in the series recent enough to qualify. Yes, I'm sure I have a wee bit of OCD... 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
It helps if you are looking for a popular or long series - I'm frequently doing In Death novellas for the last theme. 😉

Week #: 10
Book: Trick Play by Eden Finley
Date Completed: 11/26/2023
Rating: ****
Review: Matt and Noah are cute, once they get their act together. Matt is a Pro Football player who gets caught in a compromising position. Noah is rich and wants to annoy his parents. So to help out his friend Damon, he agrees to "date" Matt to help his image.
Matt has a hard time coming to terms with being out and causes him to look like a jerk for a part of the book, but you get to see his hurt and Noah helps. When Matt's brother JJ finally finds him and comes to stay, its beautiful.
I love this entire series and glad I re-read it again.
