I think I have the first book of this series d/l'ed (for free) :). Might have to make a point of reading it sooner rather than later.

I obviously loved this book! It was like The Bachelor meets the royal family. America was just such a great female character she was feisty, funny, real, and best of all not annoying. I like both the male characters as well, although I am cheering for the Prints. I will definitely read all the books in this series, and I have already read the second book.

Week 4: Unattainable - Book #3 in Series
==============================================================

By: Madeline Sheehan
Read: 4/12/15
Rating: ☆☆☆.5
Review:
The Undeniable series is definitely a guilty pleasure of a biker group and all of their old ladies. There is so much wrong with every single character in this book, with their crazy dialogue and way of life, yet I just keep going ahead and reading the next book in the series. Go figure. This story primarily focuses on Tegan and Cage. Tegan who thought the world of Cage and was her 'first' but then just kept moving on through the ladies as the biker boys do.. until Tegan left town and came back all grown up into her own interestingly beautiful and sassy person. She gave back to Cage as well as he dished out. Karma is sometimes a wonderful thing. :)

I have no clue why I waited so long to read this book but I am so glad I did. Kricket was my kind of heroine and there was an abundance of hot guys throughout. The whole premise for this book was really cool and I wan't wait to see how things play out in the next book. We got plenty of action with romance mixed in.

I am going to go with a standalone:
Identical by Ellen Hopkins

I've been on an Ellen Hopkins kick lately. Loved her book: Burned
I also did a re-read of Under Different Stars after I saw you read it last week. I had Sea of Stars to read, but had forgotten a lot of what had happened in the first book so was glad to read it again. I actually enjoyed it even more the second time!

OMG Allison Ann - that's actually Book #40 in a series! LOL! That is soooo intimidating!!!

Yup. I love Spenser (the character), he was one of my dad's favourites so I've been reading his books since I was a teeny girl. #40 is the first book written after Robert B. Parker died though. I'm afraid I'll be disappointed so I've been avoiding it. We shall see. :)

Series or Alternate: Spenser #40

Book: Robert B. Parker's Lullaby

Review: Robert B. Parker wrote 39 volumes in the Spenser series before he died, this is the first one to come posthumously using his storylines. It wasn't bad. I can't exactly put my finger on what didn't click exactly, but it was definitely better than I expected. I do very much appreciate Ace Atkins NOT going on and on about how Susan eats (readers of the series will understand what I'm talking about immediately) so that was an improvement. I know there are a few more titles to come, and now I can say I'll continue them. The story was definitely Parkeresque and the characterizations just as black and white as usual. Good book, just not as charming as I was used to.

Enjoy your day off tomorrow Denise!
I read my book and meant to post my review this weekend. Gah! I'll try to do it tomorrow

Week 5: Spot 40
===============================================

Book: Identical by Ellen Hopkins (**Standalone**)
Read: 4/17/15
Rating: ☆☆☆☆
Review: Wow. Ellen Hopkins sure knows how to write about the gritty and just puts it ALL out there... This book was hard to put down, yet it was a little bit (a lot?) uncomfortable to read. I don't usually read too much about a book before I start it so I was a bit taken by surprise that it was about "misplaced focus of daddy's love". The topic itself it just so wrong, but the story seems to take it a step further. (Although I don't really want to say too much more so as to not give anything away.) The main characters are identical twins - Kaeleigh and Raeanne. Although they look exactly alike on the outside, their insides/personalities are totally different. The story focuses on the girls' relationships and their family who is trying to overcome a tragedy. It's very heavy and, as always with Ms. Hopkins, very thought provoking. I'm not sure if I can say I "enjoyed" the ride, but I can say that even days later after finishing it, I'm still thinking about it.

My son had his prom this past weekend too! Everyone looked soooo nice and the weather was perfect. It seems so early this year, I was concerned but it worked out.
I hope you got lots of good pictures too Berit!!!

The Truth about Ever Afterwas my least favorite of the series, so far. I wasn't thrilled about Kiki in the previous book, and the story written in her voice didn't make her any more likeable. I'm curious about the fifth book, but not as excited to continue the series as I was after the first and second books.

Who the heck is A? We still don't know, and they have the wrong killer. I think I love reading these books, because it is so crazy the amount of drama that goes on in these girls lives. One of the best things that happened in this book is that Emily's parents finally accepted her for who she is, finally some parents in the series with brains! I don't think there was as much action in this book as the previous three, but I am definitely going to continue the series.

I have come to really love this series but I think what pulls me in every time is DJ. She is such a fierce character even though she sometimes struggles beforehand. She got so much thrown at her this time around and it didn't help that Alex was a jerk to her. I really used to love him but this one turned me off from him. At least I got my sexy pirate fix with Jean being around. I really love his character that the heart he has for DJ.
