I've been looking forward to reading this book for quite some time. I actually purchased and attempted this book many moons ago. I didn't get into it as at that time I was waaaaay into young adult books. I put it down within first few chapters. In the past year or so my interests have started to change and I decided to give in another go. So happy I did!
This is a WONDERFUL urban fantasy book. The MC Mac (MacKayla) has traveled to Dublin to investigate her sister's recent murder as the local policy gave up on it. She uncovers a supernatural world centered aroud the Fae and discovers several secrets about herself.
Great plot, spunky MC, the love interest(s?) are fun and the the romance is not even remotely overwhelming. Very excited to try the next book!

I have fallen in love with Linda Lael Miller books. Both of the main characters were introduced in the first book of the series, which was nice that there was a bit of back ground there. Though the book starts with a very unexpected wedding that I didn't really understand what so ever, but I hope to learn more when it comes to the rest of the books in the series. I also love how she plants seeds to new relationships in her books. In this book particularly was about Hutch and Kendra and the differences, trials, and love they have to get by to actually admit how much they love and adore each other. This book also gave some answers that were left hanging in the first book which I loved. Miller does a fantastic job leaving the reader wanting just a little more, just enough to run as fast as they can to the library or book store to pick up the next book in the series.
Summary from Goodreads
With his rugged good looks, vast wealth and family name, hell-raiser Hutch Carmody is still the golden boy of Parable, Montana. But hes done some growing up; making peace with his illegitimate half brother and inheriting half of Whisper Creek Ranch, which should have been all his. These days, Hutch knows there are some things money cant buy: like the heart of loving, ladylike divorce Kendra Shepherd.
Kendras quiet mansion reminds her of what she wants most a devoted husband and the pitter-patter of little feet. She cant get Hutch Carmody out of her mind. But a rough-and-tumble cowboy like Hutch, coming home for family dinner? Seems crazy! Then again, crazier dreams have become reality under the vast Montana sky.

overall i loved this book. it was a little hard to get into in the beginning though. I loved how it showed the events that happened to her grandfather in the war by reading a diary, but it doesn't make it seem like it. i absolutely loved the story line between the men she has loved. in this one i got a little mystery in with the historical fiction. i look forward to all the other books by Lucinda Riley because once i really got started i couldn't put it down.

Book: Her Little White Lie by Maisey Yates.
Date Read: 4/24/15
Rating: 5 Stars
Theme: Standalone
Review:
I love this book. Paige Harper tells a little white lie, in order to keep custody of her friend's baby, but she never thought it would make headlines. I love the heroine, and the hero. Dante tries to be such a jerk, but he can never pull it off. He is very sweet, and its one of my go to books to read whenever I am looking for something good. I have been in one of those moods to re-read some of my favorite/ 5 star shelf.

Review: While I can appreciate the idea of Chess being a broken and unusual heroine I struggled with her a lot. Chess is a drug addict. When not running into one life or death situation to another her main concern was getting drugs, paying for drugs and doing drugs. Frankly, this made a weak heroine and one that I had trouble relating to. She was not as kick ass as I'd like her to be. She was constantly being used and abused so to speak, but I guess this is the intrigue of Chess.
However, this wasn't a bad book. I thought the beginning was exciting and as Chess was solving the mystery behind Bumps airport and the Morton's house haunting, I found myself intrigued. I did think that after the initial opening the book can to an abrupt halt in action while Kane started to build her world. It wasn't until the mid-way mark things picked up again. I might have given it 4 stars if I was able to connect more with Chess because the "hero", Terrible, is really interesting. I'll continue on to the next book because, despite my issue with Chess.

This book was actually recommended to me through another challenge. For that challenge, I had to read a book where the main character was some form of chef. The cover fit perfectly with this challenge :)
Loved it!
Such a sweet sweet story of finding love and re-building a relationship between family. Having a little magic mixed it made the book wonderful to me. Book was a quick read - even though all the story lines wrapped up nicely I would have preferred a longer book. Excited to read the follow up AND read other books from this author!

The only reason why this isn't a one star book is because I've read books worst. With books like this I'd normally give them a 1.5 star rating but we don't have half stars. I wish we did.
Fist of all, this is a genre I don't like. So am I surprised? No. I had this as a free kindle book and felt well, let's give this a shot. I did and it was a disappointment. It's a young adult romance paranormal book. The paranormal part is that the main character Cameron Winters knows what people are thinking. She doesn't tell anyone about this. She gets upset and snarky when one of her friends likes a boy and thinks about some other boys she likes. When Cam learn by mind reading that her friend likes a boy that she likes she really is a brat and brings out her mean girl. I felt she was just a immature spoiled brat. I can't stand books with very limited characters and this was that kind of book. She learns there is more like her with other power (kind of like x-men but not as cool). They all go to a teaching facility and there is a mystery involved. These kind of books are the reason why I can't stand paranormal YA with romance.
Good thing after reading this I was able to watch the latest episode of Game of Thrones on HBO, so I was wrapped up in that didn't have to think about this crappy little book until now. The second wonderful thing is the book was short. The third great thing is this book was at least used for something (this challenge).
If you like the genre of Paranormal YA with romance you might like the book. Just a major warning. Get ready for the whining. The pity party is layered on thick.

Review: I had a hard time really getting into this book and an even harder time liking it. While Kira is a strong female lead Mencheres spends most of the book whining about his lack of visions and even more time complaining about how bored he is of living. I really expected more from a 4000+ vampire. After reading many of the Night Huntress books and the previous Night Huntress World book and Vlad's first 2 books I really adored Mencheres. Well not any more. He is outta my harem! Oh and I listened to this book on audio and OMG what a horrible voice for Bones! I'm so glad I actually read every other book because I'd have to kick Bones outta my harem too after listening to his rather unsexy Cockney accent the narrator provided.
The saving grace for this book was Kira, Gorgan, and Vlad and it was interesting to see more of vampire politics even though it seems the guardians are judge and jury with no one policing them.

Book: Breathe by Kristen Ashley.
Date Read: 5/8/15
Rating: 5 Stars
Theme: Book 4 of Colorado Mountain Series
Review:
I love Kristen Ashley. I love her writing and humor and the alpha male heroes. So over the weekend, I started reading the series again, and I have realized that they must be put on my list of books to read at least once a year. Chace Keaton is an awesome and I love Faye! There was a lot of past characters which was kind of good and bad, good because I got to see my other favorite characters, bad because it took away from Chace and Faye's story. I wanted them to have more romance, more of a relationship. They were pretty much set after they got together and there wasn't much of drama relationship wise which again was good and bad for me. But overall, its an awesome book and awesome series.

So it means Book 4, or 5 in the series OR Book Cover with 2 People

since I'm listening to it on audio it's taking me a bit longer but I'll have it done by Friday.

Another great installment in this series. I can't tell you guys enough how fun these books are. IF you enjoy a humourous romance/mystery with a supernatural twist this series is for you.
This book introduces another mystery for PI Charley to solve. In addition to this, a good chunk of the story involes darker elements of Charley's life starting to affect her - low on $$, relationship issues with family and men, her 'destiny' and what being the grim reaper actually means for her. I love the humor, but it's good to see the author tackling some of the harder aspects of her life.
Can't wait to read the fifth! Maybe next week :)

I found this book from the first one, which I read on the 12th. It was a free kindle book. I loved the first book. It reminded me of Beauty and the Beast meets The Reluctant Dragon. I just read that up and loved it. I saw the second book was free to I snagged that and it the same day. The 3rd and 4th books were on unlimited kindle so I borrowed them and read them the following day. I have gave the rating of 3 stars to books 2, 3, and 4. They were not as good as the first but still I enjoyed them. The fourth book has little twists and it concluded the series. The ending was interesting and I didn't see that one coming for some reason.
I recommend this book for those that stories with dragons and romance. It's a clean style of romance and I'd gauge this as young adult book.

Review:
I got this book as a free book on my kindle. I had read a Rachel Hanna book before and loved it so I thought I'd give another one a try. This was a sweet little romance and helps explain that no matter how old you are you can fall into real love that will last forever. I fell in love with the main character, Jenna. She is a fantastic mom and would do absolutely anything for her child and give absolutely everything she has and is to her. Kyle, Jenna's first love, comes into to the picture at the beginning of the book and I love the man that he is, sweet, caring, heart felt, and guarded at the same time. I would recommend this to any romance lovers out there, for a quick sweet innocent read.
Summary from GoodReads
In the first book of the January Cove series, Kyle Parker has just started his real estate investment business and is doing well. Unattached and not interested in falling in love, he dives head first into his business in the small coastal Georgia town.
Jenna Davis's life has come to a screeching halt. After making the worst decision on her life during college, she now finds herself a single mother about to lose her home over a decade later.
When these two cross paths after many years, sparks fly and Kyle puts up a brick wall to protect himself. In this sweeping romance, emotions run high as the two try to find themselves, and each other, again
