Overall, this biography is intriguing and thought-provoking. The author has delivered a fascinating book about an important and amazing person history has overlooked.

I loved the setting of this chilling murder mystery set in an isolated hut in deep winter in the Rocky Mountains, but the plot didn't work as well for me as for others.

Third book in the trilogy
Overall, I loved the tension and the intensity of the story. It was engaging, atmospheric, and suspenseful with some chilling scenes. It did a great job of keeping me hooked and having compassion for the characters through their struggles.

Science Fiction Thriller
The plot is twisty with harrowing scenes, plenty of layers, thought-provoking instances, and a larger-than-life protagonist. The multiple conflicts and the diplomatic challenges move the story forward rapidly. Overall, this is a tense and exciting science fiction thriller that kept me on an emotional rollercoaster.
Barren Grounds by AA B. Michael Radburn was a good read but didn't grab me as much as his other books, only because I didn't believe the ending, BUT I reckon it could be made into a terrific film or TV series. It has all the right elements.

Cozy Mystery
9th in the Book Retreat Mysteries series
Overall, this entertaining story immediately grabbed my attention and kept me engaged throughout the book. The plot is twisty, the story is well-written, the settings were easy to visualize, and the characters were memorable.
Garry Disher is a favourite Aussie author whose offbeat Wyatt series features the crook. In Deathdeal, while avoiding his main enemies in Melbourne and Sydney, Wyatt is summoned to Queensland to pull off a job. I reckon you could read these out of order.
