Carolyn | 1629 comments I'm really enjoying reading Faith Martin's DI Hillary Greene series this year as part of a challenge. The depth of the characters, the intriguing plots and a thread of humour makes them really enjoyable.

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Romantic Suspense

Overall, this was a story that quickly pulled me into the narrative and the lives of Morgan and those around her. While the pacing isn’t as brisk as some romantic suspense novels, the author did a great job of building suspense throughout the story and I enjoyed the journey. She is a superb storyteller that intermingled the ever-present threat that was looming over Morgan and the rebuilding of her life. I would love to see this become a series.

Paranormal Romantic Suspense / Urban Fantasy

This is a story that combines romance, suspense, and action with humor. A fiery and intense protagonist, a manipulative ex-wife, a supervillian antagonist, and great secondary characters are combined with a compelling story line, exciting scenes, and a plot with a few twists and turns.

Donne | 63 comments Ok, who says murder and mayhem can't be funny and entertaining? Personally, I love any story/character that makes me laugh. Hubby says it's because I'm so easily amused, which, by the way, is one of the things that he says he loves about me😊

These are a few of the good thrillers that I've read lately that were also quite funny and entertaining.

Historical Mystery with a bit of romance.

It's funny, dark, and highlights some of the social issues of the Regency period in England. It features financially independent 42-year-old twin sisters Lady Augusta (Gus) Colebrook and Lady Julia Colebrook who decide to help women in need. This often requires some amateur sleuthing and some danger.
