PamG (lynguy1) | 2533 comments Here is my 3.74 rounded to 4 stars review of Murder in PostScript Murder in PostScript by Mary Winters by Mary Winters:

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Mary Winters has penned the first book in a new historical cozy series featuring Victorian era countess Amelia Amesbury and is set in London, England. With plenty of levels to the plot and several red herrings and twists, the story kept me engaged throughout. It grabbed my attention with likeable characters, a mystery to be solved, and a society that was undergoing changes.

Carolyn | 1629 comments For those who enjoy a little Swedish noir, try:
The Sins of our Fathers (Rebecka Martinsson Arctic Murders #6) by Åsa Larsson The Sins of our Fathers by Åsa Larsson.
It's a mixture of a cold case with a recent murder, when a body is found in the freezer of a murdered man. The translation is excellent and although it's #6 in the series, it works well as a self contained novel, although like me you may want to go back and read the series from the start!

Robert Dugoni's latest, Her Deadly Game, is a courtroom drama with a good investigative dilemma at the heart and a most intriguing solution.

PamG (lynguy1) | 2533 comments Here is my 4.67 rounded to 5 stars review of The Instructor The Instructor (Derek Harrington #1) by T.R. Hendricks by T.R. Hendricks:

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Overall, this exciting debut novel is a powerful page-turner with great world-building details and tension that was almost alive. It is a military action thriller with a lot of violence. Hendricks balances the shocking and upsetting aspects of the novel well against the mystery of the group he’s training and Derek’s love of his family.
