Nichole | 1010 comments Play (Stage Dive, #2) by Kylie Scott -Picked by AmandaD. I freaking love this series! Mal and Anne were hilarious. 5+ stars!

Opposition (Lux, #5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout picked by Karla. Well I started out really liking this series. And then Katy got hit with the stupid stick. She just kept putting herself in impossible situations that put everyone's lives in danger or people were killed because of her stupidity. Ugh! But I'm glad that I finally finished the series. Thanks! 2.5 stars

Heir to the Shadows (The Black Jewels, #2) by Anne Bishop - picked by Shelby. Sometimes this series gets bogged down in details and it's hard to follow. I've learned to just keep going and not worry about it. Doing that, I end up really enjoying it. I won't be waiting so long for the next one! 4.5 stars!

Divide & Conquer (Cut & Run, #4) by Abigail Roux - picked by Katie. I love these guys! Funny, emotional, sexy- giggity! 4+ stars

The Hooker and the Hermit by L.H. Cosway - picked by Zara. Predictable but cute, funny and sexy. I enjoyed it. 3 stars

Lead (Stage Dive, #3) by Kylie Scott - picked by Ty. Wow, I was really surprised that I loved this one. I mean it was Jimmy and he's a douche! But again, I abso-freaking-lutely loved it! 5 Stars!

Maybe Someday (Maybe, #1) by Colleen Hoover - picked by Anita. I dare you to not cry while reading this! Or most of her books for that matter. *lip trembling, eyes watering, nostrils flared* I tried and failed. Sad but wonderful. 4 Stars

Rock Bottom (Tristan & Danika, #2) by R.K. Lilley - picked by Katherine. Holy cow! This book gutted me. I had an idea of what happened because Tristan mentioned a little in Grounded. But of course, I wasn't prepared for that mess of a downward spiral. It broke my heart. I immediately listened to and finished Lovely Trigger. It was a long and emotionally charged reunion but I'm so glad they got their HEA. Loved them both! 5+ Stars!

Katherine (katkattrinn) | 629 comments My 6th book!!!!
This one was picked by Rebecca ★★★
From This Moment On (The Sullivans, #2) by Bella Andre
This book was about family, friends and love. That you can found someone that you want to spend your all live with, in the places where you didn't expects to found him or her.

And 7th!!!
Until July (Until Her, #1) by Aurora Rose Reynolds picked by Zara ★★★
It was okay. But I liked more more books about her parents, uncle and aunts.

message 308: by Aarati (new)

Aarati | 148 comments Skandia I finished Where the Road Takes Me by Jay McLean . It was really good and a total cry-fest. At first I didn't much like Blake, but he grew on me. He was actually quite adorable. I had mixed opinions about Chloe, but over all she was good too.

message 309: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (amandasorrasson) | 156 comments Catch You For Christmas by Susan Arden 3★'s
Quick easy read. Didn't like it as much as the previous books in the series but it was only a short catch up with characters from a previous book. Picked by Katie

You Only Love Twice (Masters and Mercenaries, #8) by Lexi Blake 5★'s
I love this series & can't wait for the next book to be released. Picked by Nichole

Mr. Hot Stuff (Contemporary Firefighter Romance) by Lauren Hawkeye 3★'s
I did enjoyed this book even if the hero was supposed to be a Harley riding bad boy the more sweet than bad & was never seen riding a Harley. :) Picked by Donna

I Only Have Eyes for You (The Sullivans, #4) by Bella Andre 5★'s
I really like this series. I would say this has been my favourite so far, can't wait to read more of the Sullivans. Picked by LaurLa

SEAL's Honor (Take No Prisoners, #1) by Elle James 2.5★'s

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments finished up 2 books over the weekend:

Love Slave for Two: Reckoning - 2.5 stars - as much as I like TD, this series was just dragged out a bit too much - the romance stuff was hot, but the suspense portion was ehhh...

Stealing Home - 3.5 stars - cute baseball romance - loved the catcher and the theme - i'm intrigued enough to maybe continue the series

message 316: by Anita Reads (last edited Apr 29, 2015 12:37PM) (new)

Anita Reads | 170 comments I finished a few books:

Diane ~Firefly - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy | Douglas Adams 04/28/15 ★★★
Although I liked the humor in this book, and I had fun while reading it. It was so strange that I sometimes had a hard time understanding where this book was going. I also found it a little hard to relate the the characters as they all seemed kinda aloof. But thanks for the pick I more or less enjoyed the read anyway :)
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, #1) by Douglas Adams

MKat - Kiss of Midnight | Lara Adrian 04/27/15 ★★★★
I really enjoyed this story. It reminded me a lot of BDB. I do think that BDB is a little better, but I enjoyed this read anyway, and I'm definitely going to continue the series. Thanks for the pick.
Kiss of Midnight (Midnight Breed, #1) by Lara Adrian

BONUS PICKS
Aarati - Bone Crossed | Patricia Briggs 04/22/15 ★★★★★
I really love Mercy Thompson. She's my favorite heroine. I liked that in this one you could really feel how much she was struggling after her attack in the previous book. I have a major crush on Adam. I can't wait to read what's in store for Mercy in the next book - oh and I kinda missed Stefan in the previous book, too. So happy he was back.
Bone Crossed (Mercy Thompson, #4) by Patricia Briggs

Becky - The Merlot Murders | Ellen Crosby 04/23/15 ★★★★
I enjoyed this mystery although I had guessed pretty fast who the killer was. I had a difficult time with the MC at times, but overall I liked the story and the mystery, and I'm looking forward to continuing the series.
The Merlot Murders (Wine Country Mysteries #1) by Ellen Crosby

Penney - Dragonfly in Amber | Diana Gabaldon 04/27/15 ★★★★
I just have to start by saying that I LOOOVE the narrator Davina Porter - she makes this experience so much better. I still enjoyed the story, but I think at times it dragged a little, although I can see why most of it was necessary. Thanks for the pick, I'm looking forward to continue the series.
Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, #2) by Diana Gabaldon

Sunshine - Kill and Tell | Linda Howard 04/17/15 ★★★★
This was my first Linda Howard book, and I really enjoyed it. I liked the mystery and the 2 main characters. The romance was also really hot in this book. Thanks for the pick. Definitely not going to be the last time I read something from Linda Howard.
Kill and Tell (CIA Spies, #1) by Linda Howard

Zara - Golden Earrings | Belinda Alexandra 04/20/15 ★★★★
This was a really interesting read. I enjoyed the writing and the characters. This genre is usually outside of my comfort zone, so it was really nice to get that push to read it. Thank you.
Golden Earrings by Belinda Alexandra

Wow - I realise I've been focusing a lot on my Bonus picks so far, but they were the only books that fitted with my current team challenges. Next month I will be focusing a lot more on the group picks.

message 320: by Ty (new)

Ty | 1943 comments Alrighty! Here's my April reading for PIFM. I managed to bite a huge chunk out of my group's picks.

One Night Stand by J.S. Cooper torture to finish. I barely did. Never. Forget.but glad it's off my TBR haha. thanks, Amanda D
Until Nico (Until, #4) by Aurora Rose Reynolds good conclusion to the series. Thanks, Amy (GreenFairy)
Poster Boy (Theta Alpha Gamma #5) by Anne Tenino I do so love the TAG guys. This had some suprisingly LOL moments, courtesy of the anti-beer terrorists training... Thanks, Becky!
The Redhead Revealed (Redhead, #2) by Alice Clayton still funny if a bit unbelievable, but I'm not a super fan of Hollywood books, but I do like Alice Clayton. Thanks, Catherine!
Never Been Kissed (Never Been, #1) by C.M. Kars how cuuuuute. this one sparked a little tingle in my heart. great read. Thanks, Cristina!
Shattered (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #7) by Kevin Hearne not a fan of the different POVs but I do love the narrator of this. And, of course - Oberon. That is all. Thanks, Donna !
The Assassin's Curse (The Assassin's Curse, #1) by Cassandra Rose Clarke the premise had so much promise. The execution? Meh. Points for originality tho. Thanks, Holli!
Scandal And The Duchess (MacKenzies & McBrides, #6.5) by Jennifer Ashley I love the MacKenzies and, by extension, the McBrides. Great to see Lord Ian, as always. Thanks, KarenH!
Burn for Me (Hidden Legacy, #1) by Ilona Andrews - dear God. I love. I want more. NOW. Thanks, Logan!
Midnight Man (Midnight, #1) by Lisa Marie Rice Yes, Penney - that first love scene - wow. lol
Dead Heat (Alpha & Omega, #4) by Patricia Briggs I have to remind myself that this is different from the Mercy books, a different pace, a different feel. I still love Charles, love watching him become more humanized. Great read. Now give me Mercy!!! Thanks, Nichole!
Kaleidoscope (Colorado Mountain, #6) by Kristen Ashley - I'm slowly stepping off the KA train... and this one didn't convince me otherwise. I think I'm becoming a bit inured to her repetitions, and it's no longer funny or cute or interesting. Sigh. Sad when you lose faith in an author.... Thanks, Sherri!

Thanks for the picks, ladies! Only 5 more to read in May to finish out this round.

message 322: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments updates so far -

Willing Sacrifice - Melissa/Breann/Lily - there is something about Joey Hill's writing that always gets me out of funks - I needed it after a slew of iffy reads - 4 stars

Stealing Home - Mkat - i'm not always a huge fan of baseball romances, but I enjoyed this one - the writing was well done and you could tell the author had done her research; the angst was handled well and thank god there was no "big misunderstanding" - 3.5 stars

Love Slave for Two: Reckoning - Breann/Jane(PS) - I've loved this series for years, so its disappointing when a book doesn't live up to it - I liked the romance portion - hot and spicy, but the suspense element was just ehh and that took up the first half of the book - 2.5 stars

By Design - Zara - i wanted to like this one much more than I did - Emmie was too much of a doormat for me to ever like her and Graham was a DB - 2 stars

Aw, Laurla, I didn't even notice that. Technically they were my choices, you just pushed me to read them. For that I am very grateful because they'd been on my tbr for quite a while. I always appreciate the picks you give me so... thank you! :-)

Sunshine - Kill and Tell | Linda Howard 04/17/15 ★★★★
This was my first Linda Howard book, and I really enjoyed it. I liked the mystery and the 2 main characters. The romance was also really hot in this book. Thanks for the pick. Definitely not going to be the last time I read something from Linda Howard."

After the picks, I found that there were several I could checkout at the library. I hope to start one of the series soon.

Sunshine (sunshine22222) | 935 comments catching up :)

I have read 6 books so far for the challenge

Group 3 Picks:
Larissa - Three to Ride 4/5/15 ..5 stars
Rachel Elizabeth Swift is running from a crazed stacker and smack dab into two hot twins looking for someone to share and marry. I love the twins as well as their differences. The suspense in the story kept me on edge.

Lily - Thief - 4/13 ...5 stars
A dizzy wonderful ride... Ummm ..read
The writing was great. I started to get dizzy in some parts. I had to go back at times to figure out whether I was in the past or present. The story... everything came together with Thief. Leah, I just live to hate her (Dirty Red). But, in the end I got that....
... The epilogue tells it all ;)

MKat - The Darkest Hour 5/17/15 ...2.5 stars
Boring. As I was reading the book, I kept thinking that it had to get better. The story was good, but had no detail or excitement. I expected after (view spoiler)there would be more. I thought the scenes were glossed over. The ones with details, were good... But that wasn't
where the action was. The writing was... blah
Recommended by : MKat, Sadie

Zara - Suddenly You 4/20/15 ...3 stars
Good story
Recommended by: Zara, Nicole, Katie

Three to Ride (Nights in Bliss, Colorado, #1) by Sophie Oak Thief (Love Me with Lies, #3) by Tarryn Fisher The Darkest Hour (KGI, #1) by Maya Banks Suddenly You by Lisa Kleypas

Bonus picks:
Gle - Twist Me - 4/25/15 ...4 stars
What did I think?
All while I was reading I thought that the novel was very similar to Stolen: A Letter to My Captor. Some of the difference were that the girl who was kidnapped (Nora) was 18 when kidnapped verses 15. And, the location in this novel was mostly on an island verses Australia.
Oh yes, Twist Me had lots of sex. Where Stolen: A Letter to My Captor did not (I think because the age difference). I did enjoy this book. although similar, the end of the story takes a different twist…

LaurLa - On the Island 4/3/15 ...4 stars
What a surprise. I knew this would be about a couple surviving on an island. This was so much more. I really enjoyed reading how they lived, loved, and survived "on the island."

Twist Me (Twist Me, #1) by Anna Zaires On the Island (On the Island, #1) by Tracey Garvis-Graves

Yep... thank for the recommendation. I needed to read one of her books. I own several of them. I may try again, but not with this series.

MountainKat | 31777 comments I was just going to suggest that - her different series are very different! Her historicals were very good for me, but I liked her steamier stuff too. Could have been the series as much as the writing, but some authors just don't work for different people! I know I have several authors that are hugely successful, but I'm not itching to try again!
