I liked the focus on Emile and Baz's relationship. The suspense plot was well crafted with a clear sense of danger. I would have liked the lore that underpinned the series to have been more detailed but this was a satisfying conclusion to the series.

I was initially disappointed and it was entirely on me because I was expecting (hoping) that the big mystery would be wrapped up and then the next 2 trilogies would focus on different things. Obviously that did not happen and this will likely not be resolved until the end of book 9. The book was so good though and the last like third of the book was just gut punch after gut punch. I listened to the book and then went back and re-read from the Farstryke chapter to the end. I wonder how long it will take them to get you know who back because no way in hell he is gone forever. In conclusion I loved it and I cannot wait for The Misfit Caravan!!!!!!

Dana is a member of The Hunting Club a band of vigilantes who kill paranormal threats. Her wife Penny, an orc, only just survived an attacked by a vampire serial killer. Everyone but Dana thinks the killer was captured. This puts a strain on her marriage as Dana has spend the past years obsessing over finding the real killer and had distanced herself from everyone who cares for her. Dana's hunt for the killer is put on hold when she's drawn into the power play of the head of the local vampires, the vampires underlings, and a sithe lord.
Fabulous book with excellent world building.

Review: I need to figure out when the next in this series is coming out and ensure I have enough time to re-read/listen to all of the books in this universe. Ian and Miro are one of my favorite couples ever and for those who dislike Mary's "Jory" character in a lot of her books neither Ian or Miro fit that mold. Such a great series, now I want to read some more Mary books!!!

Fabulous end to the series.

I'm almost done with my book. Hopefully will be able to post my completion before I have to go to work, but I'm on dog duty in the morning so might not have time until I'm done with work.

Review: I liked this book, didn't love it though which is disappointing because I really enjoyed some of this author's later series. Decent mystery and I liked the main couple, will continue with book 2 to see if they grow on me some more. I am not a fan of the ending of this book and I didn't love the narration (not one of the narrator's best performances) so I will likely read book 2 at some point.

[book:Dyeing to be Loved|3..."
i loved the first and second book in the series but i strugle with the 3 book at the moment how many perfect talents can one guy have?

[book:Dye..."
This series gets a bit repetitive.

[bookcover:Dyeing to be Loved|32882114..."
that's so true.

Sweet, I may skip right to that series than, thanks!"
i would rec. that you read blissville first also because a lot of the first two books in this series are mentioned in the Curl Up and Dye Mysteries Series. and that takes the fun out of these books

This is the third book I've read by Aimee Nicole Walker and I think it's time to admit her style doesn't work for me. The books seems to be full of unprofessional professionals and contrived misunderstandings. I didn't get the relationship between Avery and Jonah and the mystery wasn't sufficient to keep my interest.

I was thinking earlier this week it was about time for me to go back through my ratings and reevaluate if a book really was a 5 or 4 star read for me which would have no doubt led to less selection for you so you are welcome, Starstruck lol

Brilliant take on the perils of falling into the clutches of a dastardly rake. My only regret is not being able to read The Secret of Darkdown or Swann's latest book.

Review: This was a quick, easy read. I enjoy cooking shows so I liked that part of the story. This was a little slow at times and the "mystery" wasn't great but this is a popcorn book and kept me engaged this evening reading it.

lol there is not a whole lot of overlap on our shelves but I had already picked the Andrew Grey before you posted, thanks for the suggestion though!
