I haven't read this series in a while and was pleased that on re-read it was just as good as I remembered. I like Ian's determination and Hollis' determination to keep Ian safe without taking away his agency.

lol I adore him and I think Michael Lesley is just the absolute best in this series, the book 1 audio was the first one I ever listened to and what an intro to the medium lol. Cannot wait to revisit those guys but the audio is 16 hours & 58 minutes long so not something I can squeeze in between calls!

Review: Loved this so hard! I started reading then I had to log in later in the night for work for a bit so I swapped to audio and listened to 3 chapters and Dylan was not at all how I was imagining his voice which threw me a bit lol. Switched back to reading as soon as I could because I needed to finish and find out what was going to happen!!! Justin getting his himbo Dylan, visiting again with Sam, Ryan, Gary, Tiggy, Morgan, etc etc and the newest adventure was just so much fun. Will definitely go back and listen to the full audio because Michael Lesley is just so great in these books, the number of distinctive voices he manages, giving all a colorful, vibrant personality is so impressive.
*Disclaimer – I am a Klunatic so review is most definitely biased lol

A nicely realised historical about a local Vicar who helps an stern absentee father become a parent to his three children. Lots of humour mixed with some poignant moments. The children were great fun to read about, not something I'd normally say!, and their actions were believable.

That's what I meant it for so no stress.

Yes, it should have been Task 8. It was a copy and paste error from the last time I prepped all the tasks. Now I'm wondering if I messed that up for any other teams... 🤦🏻♀️
I will update that now.
Oh and all your completions for Task 7 were good.

Masc by Marshall Thornton

Read 29/04/22 4.5*
After reading a listicle Lionel worries his doesn't have enough in common with Dog to make a long term relationship work. In search of a shared hobby they decide to join a gay bowling league. It doesn't go quite as planned.
Masc is fabulous. On one level it's a lighthearted opposites attract story. Dog is as masc as they come with a love of traditionally male pastimes and Lionel is unashamedly femme in all of his sparkly gender-fluid glory. It's also an acutely observed commentary on the myriad of ways there are to be gay and the pressures to conform. Lionel and Dog both accept each other. The rest of the world is always so understanding. The serious themes are lightened by the humour; Lionel is incredibly witty and Dog makes an excellent straight man.

Review: I love this book, such a great start to a series. I love the characters, the world-building, the original way the characters use magic, the action and the mystery (both what was resolved in this book and the lingering mysteries), basically all the things. There are serious themes but also snarky banter which is my favorite thing. This is a re-read for me as I anxiously wait for book 3 to be released and I am very excited to see how this first trilogy concludes and my excitement started because this book was that damn good. (view spoiler) I very much love this book, most definitely recommend, and the audio was top notch as well.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
