Grim by M.K. Eidem (shelved 77 times as sci-fi-romance) or also
Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik (shelved 69 times as sci-fi-romance)
Found both on page 1 of Sci Fi Romance Books page and have access to the audiobooks without having to purchase, so score! Polaris Rising was recommended by House Andrews and they don't often venture in this lane, so I'm leaning towards this one too.

Going with: Grim by M.K. Eidem found on Page 1 of "Sci Fi Romance Books" page (shelved 77 times as sci-fi-romance)

I enjoyed this one, and I'm looking forward, at some point to Polaris Rising as well :)

It's reminding me of the SE Smith series. Like a space soap opera of alpha males searching for mates :) I also think Eve Langlais needs to be informed of our Book Bingo 200 page requirement, her books are always just a few pages shy as qualifying... I still want to read Polaris Rising too, Ilona Andrews has recommended it a couple of times. I am a proud member of their BDH (book devouring hoard) LOL!

Me as well !!!!
I've got Polaris Rising, just haven't gotten around to it yet. The new one sounds good too, sadly its A$23 here in Aus. I'm hoping the library will get it.

Title/Author: Grim by M.K. Eidem
Series: Tornians #1
Date Read: 2/5/2022
Shelf: Sci-Fi Romance
Pages: 438
Rating: ★★★1/2☆
Review: This is the first book in this series about space warriors from the Tornian Empire searching for females since an infection has caused their race to rarely give birth to females. Of course the alpha males discover women on earth that are compatible and abduct them... The good: Earth women are not as shallow as the Tornian gals so Lisa sees Grim's "flaws" as heroic and falls in love with the King after he saves & protects her and her little girls. The not so good: Little bit too much of the "he-man" alpha male warrior alien stuff at times. Why do they always have to snatch and abduct women and wisk them off to their not so friendly planets? As breeders. Can't they just ask? The insta info download plot, etc. always cracks me up. I listened to this in audio and was entertained by the "knock" "knock" and creatures chirping sound effects that were added to this book. I have skipped ahead and downloaded Ynyr because I want to see where this story goes... If you like S.E. Smith's Sci-Fi Romance books, you'll probably enjoy this one too.

I am going to read Munro by Kresley Cole for my Free Space shelf pick.

I completely forgot how raunchy these books are, but in the best way possible. I loved the characters and steamy parts. I found myself laughing out loud. The only thing I would change is I want more depth to the story. I know what I'm getting into when I read these books and that it's really not about the plot so much as the steamy parts. But I find myself wanting more backstory. We did get some for Raahosh, but I wanted more about Liz. I'll be continuing the series though.

I am usually not crazy about Sci-Fi and wasn't excited about this book but I really enjoyed it. It caught my interest right away. When Ada, the space princess, was thrown in the cell with Loch, the Devil of Fornax Zero, I was hooked. Ada is smart, strategic, and sexy while Loch is quiet and brooding. Her plots and schemes kept my interest and the story moving quickly. Political and family dynamics added in unexpected twists to their path. Characters I love: Ada’s sisters, her newfound friend, and her awesome spaceship. Characters I love to hate: her father. I will definitely continue this trilogy.

Title/Author: Munro by Kresley Cole
Series: Immortals After Dark #18
Date Read: 2/9/2022
Shelf: Free Shelf
Pages: 432
Rating: ★★★★☆
Review: Munro, of the Hot or Hotter MacRieve lykae twins is being tortured by warlocks when they bring him his mate, Kereny. Then she is lost to him. Munro is forced to use magic in a desperate attempt to find her in the past. Problem, Kereny is married and part of a carnival by day and a monster hunter of lore beings like him at night. Little time skipping, hunting for magical items, and trying to make his monster hating mate fall in love with him. The good: Liked being back in the IAD universe. Nix, Lothaire and the back storyline build up to the big battle, lore teams, the nymphs, all good stuff... The not so good: This is a little hard to review... There was almost a five year gap between her last release in this series so I had anticipated getting back into the IAD world. My high expectations left me a little disappointed since the "love at first sight" Munro vs his "I hate monsters" Kereny just didn't have great chemistry in the beginning. It took over halfway into the storyline for me to get into the couple. Ended great with a nice epilogue teaser. Listened to this in audio and Robert Petkoff is always awesome, accents are great. Hopefully the next book will come sooner than later.

Leaning towards “Readers Choice” for my pick and Book by an Author with F, M or T in first or last name - JD Robb aka Nora Roberts if that works.

Review:
I feel like I may be missing a little something because I didn't read Magic Stars before reading this book. However, I don't know how necessary it is. I jumped right in to the story without too much of a hiccup and anything I felt I wasn't familiar with was pretty much explained in the book. I am a huge Ilona Andrews fan so it's no surprise that I loved this book. I've always been really interested in Julie, Derek and Ascancio. I'm excited to see where else this goes. I definitely don't recommend reading this unless you've completed the Kate Daniels series.

Electric Idol by Katee Robert, shelved one time as Alternate Universe (thank you to that one person!!).

Murder, mystery, suspense, crime, detective, futuristic, romance!!! I loved this one. I want Eve’s husband. Now that that is out of the way, this story kept my attention from start to finish. Only Eve and her partner Delia Peabody could solve this golden mystery as quickly as they did. Eve is finally adjusting/accepting of her relationship with Roarke.

OMG I hate books that end like this!!! The story takes place in what is definitely an alternate universe. Families are made of mother father son daughter. There is no pain, fear, war, hatred, prejudice. However, everyone looks and acts the same. They are assigned professions based on grades, personality, and aptitude by age 12. Jonas, age 11, is assigned to be the Receiver of Memory. He is responsible for remembering the history of the society which includes the parts that others don’t remember- pain, fear, war, hatred, prejudice. Learning these things changes Jonas' perspective of his perfect society. With this new knowledge he chooses another path.
