BINGO R21 | Discussion Thread
Just as an FYI ... Goodreads still has a thread creation limit in place (in hopes of squashing spammers, I'm told) so I'm unable to create more than 2-3 threads at a time. 🤬I'll post all pertinent R21 threads as quickly as possible. For now, we have this thread (discussions only) and our sign-up thread up and open.

That thread creation limit is so annoying when you have to post lots of teams :-/But yay, new Bingo round! :-D
One mod in our group over in AMMP came up against a limit on # of posts when she was trying to update a challenge!
It's a major frustration when you need to post a bunch of new threads around the same time. 😤 I'll just have to space out my postings.
The limitation on postings drives me bonkers! It makes it so hard to post and update challenges. Looking forward to this round of Bingo!

Hey y'all! Starting now, I'm going to be posting team threads periodically throughout the week (b/c of the new thread limit) in hopes that I'll have them all up by go-time. Please (for the sake and sanity of my OCDemoness) don't post on them until I've shuffled players and actually created teams. I'll let everyone know (via a broadcast message through the BSB alert group AND a note here on the SOS discussion thread) once teams have been set, so you can find your team and get'ta chattin'. At that point, all threads are open to any and all discussion, even if it's just to say Hi to another player on an other team than you. Pop-bys are always fun. Thanks for your patience and understanding 🤓
Steph - are you able to freeze the team threads etc until you are ready to begin?
I can. I wasn't gonna b/c I'll have to remember to unfreeze them. 🤪 But, I'm gonna now (*cough* kittykat 😏)
kittykat, you asked about where to create bingo cards. I used to create them by hand using Photoshop, but I've since resorted to websites that will create them for me. It saves a lot of time and the one I've used the past couple rounds allows me to stamp them online as well, also easier and a time saver.I'm currently using https://myfreebingocards.com 😊

i am so excited for this round of bingo!! i always look forward to playing but these last few years (?!) of quarantine and isolating have really made me miss the community that comes along with playing. i can’t wait to get back to it!

Steph,I just took a look at the team pages and bingo cards. The light pink topics in the squares are really hard to read. Do you know if they print out darker? I plan on printing in black and white and hope that helps.

We'll need to have one team with 4 players, all others will be 3 players, since we ended on a # not happily divisible by 3-4 players.

I'm sorry, Linda! Definitely recommend printing it in B&W for easier viewing. The link at the top will take you directly to the image. I was goin’ for a Valentine theme since we're starting in Feb.
Just realized (yeah, I'm a little slow) we're starting on 02-02-22 🤓 The nerdy OCDemon in me loves that! And, although it's Groundhog Day, there'll be no do-overs. 😏
I didn't realize that about the date tomorrow either - but now I think it's super cool!

Yes Rosina, books can be added up till shelf call. And in Free Space shelf call, that is the beginning of the game. So hurry up and add it if you haven't already.

Quick question about the Free space book. I understand that if the series is mentioned in any of the threads, all of that series is fair game. What about the group shelf? I ask because I have Record of a Spaceborn Few out from the library, and The Galaxy, and the Ground Within is on the group shelves. Can I read Spaceborn Few, or does the actual book need to be on the shelf?
Sorry Laura, for Free Space, the exact book must be on a Group Bookshelf to be able to use that option.
