This one actually took place during several of the previous books. I wasn't expecting that. I really liked Danii and the ice fae were an interesting aspect of The Lore. Murdoch might just be my favorite of the Wroth brothers too. I adore IAD and this was a good installment. Such a unique world and Ms. Cole knows how to keep you turning the pages!

This had a lot more romance in it compared to the first one which is not a bad thing, not at all it worked and is understandable to Galena's character. This one is about Galena and Declan and how they are going to keep Galena safe and alive while she works on this new vaccine that will save many people. I don't want to say to much otherwise I might give plot points away for the first book. There was a bit of a twist with the bad guy or guys in this one I did not see it coming. I still don't know how I feel towards Aislin, Dec's older sister. Aislin is going to be one of the main characters in the third book and sometimes I get the vibe that she could be an awesome character if she could let loose a little bit, but then sometimes she can be a real pain but I can kind of understand why she is under a lot of pressure I mean she has the whole fate of the Ferry's to watch out for.

Another adventure in the world of Harmony, this time between Elly St. Clair, a botanist with strong Guild connections, and Cooper Boone, the city's Guild boss.
After realizing that Cooper's first priority is the Guild, Elly breaks off their engagement, unwilling to be second place in his life. She moves out of town, opens a shop and starts a new life, and is doing pretty well for herself when, six months later, Cooper comes to town and she's in need of his help.
Elaborate world, interesting characters and a mystery that wasn't obvious, narrated in an audiobook that brought the story to life.
An enjoyable series so far, that continues with Silver Master next.

Oops, I missed that. Sorry Sandra!

Another winner in the series. I loved Ginger and how she just refused to satisfy the firestorm again until he was willing to commit. Plus how confused they all were when it wasn't satisfied immediately. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

So I'm going to look for another audio book with a six-pack on the cover.

So this was a little different from the first one. The first one sucked me in with it's mysterious and dark element. This one was still dark but marched to a different beat. A little slower but then the ending made up for it. This book really cemented my feelings about Amy though. I wasn't sure she was gonna be a good heroine in the first one but she didn't disappoint in book 2! Now the ending leaves lots and lots and lots open and if the release date for book 3 here on GR is accurate I'm not gonna be a happy camper lol. Hopefully it'll be out sooner rather than later. We did meet Lulu who was awesome in book 2. She had me lol'ing several times. All in all a good book and Ms. Paige does a wonderful job painting the scenery and setting.

This one was so good compared to the third one. A whole mess of crap went down. So much death, mayhem, and destruction! I can't say anything about this with out giving the other books away, so difficult. I will say though I like how each books title is referenced in the story and explained. I will say I think Katy holds it together pretty well given the circumstances.

This was good. I'm not a big fan of the ex-con or prisoner on the run plot line. But I liked the whole part about them all being trapped and trying to survive the earth quake. The did seem to fall madly in love a little too fast. But that's typical of romantic suspense. And I guess I am fussy but all I kept thinking about when they fooled around is that they weren't bathing or brushing their teeth :-)

Review:
The story of an estate and the dispute about its ownership, which is how the main couple falls in love.
Warning: Ranting follows!
Viola...

I did not like Viola from the beginning, but I was hoping that she'd redeem herself somehow along the way - no such luck!
She starts out as a stubborn idiot, who insists that there is no problem since she won't acknowledge it and instead, turns to juvenile pranks that she hopes will drive Ferdinand away. In the meanwhile she's completely and unfairly prejudiced, because thinking that Ferdinand is a bad guy will make her feel better about behaving like an idiot and not even considering discussing the situation like an intelligent adult.
And this is only the beginning, because as it turns out, she's got quite a big skeleton in her own closet, which makes her at least an unbelievable hypocrite.

To make matters worse, she later decides to nobly (in her mind) sacrifice herself to save her love a number of imaginary evils, and is willing to go back to a nightmare of a life instead of opening her mouth and actually trusting him with the truth.

I won't even go into details, but I disliked everything about her, from her behavior and attitude, to her other persona and needless drama.

As a result, the good points of the book, including Ferdinant, who is a patient saint to put up with her, were seriously overshadowed and did not manage to balance the scales.
Last book in the series is The Secret Mistress, which I hope will be a lot better.

So coming right up with my reader's choice review.

I really enjoyed this book. I always like the romances with the couple falling in love on the wagon train. This was kind of like that but set during the Great Depression so they were traveling by motor car. Apparently most vehicles didn't go very fast and there weren't a lot of paved roads back then. Because it took them like 3 weeks to travel from MO through OK. Anyway, I enjoyed the romance even if Brady was an ass to her a few times.

I was really excited about this book since it was about Jinn I haven't read many books dealing with Jinn so when hearing about this book I had to see what it was about. It has a slow build but that was okay the love interest between Leila and Oz seemed forced in the beginning but near the end it seemed a bit better. The ending definitely made up for the slow beginning. Some of the world building concepts were a bit confusing as well like Leila states that one of her friends who is a seer wouldn't be able to go all the way sideways (or into the fey realm) without being completely useless and under control of his visions yet near the end of the book he goes completely sideways and is fine and just opens up his seeing powers a little bit not all the way. Also I loved the cover so pretty.
