You can find a longer review on my blog: Raquel Gabrielle's Blog
I really enjoyed this book and am having no problem finding good books dealing with reaper like plots. Lately I have been getting back into all my Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance I can't believe how much I have missed it. I love reading other genre's to keep everything interesting but now I find myself going back to what I love the most.
The only problems I had with this book was the world building much was left to the readers imagination, like how the world got to be this post apocalyptic world and how it only takes a short time for a spirit to be left in the in between before it turns into a Shade.
But I liked both Cacy and Eli's characters and now I can't wait to start the next book and see how all the twists turn out. So far I think Moros is my favorite character only because he is so mysterious and seems all bad but I bet he is a real softy.

Mary sounds like you got your reading groove back :)
Thenia, I read the first Maggie book early this year and enjoyed it. Need to pick up book 2 soon.
I didn't start anything today it's KILLING ME, need the new shelf like now lol.

Done: 4/4 ~ stamp received (3/23/2015)

As you know, the new shelf has been called and there are a lot of good books in there to choose from. Enjoy!

Quick question though this will be a reread for me but I haven't read it since it first came out like 10 years ago is that okay? I have been wanting to reread the first two books so I can continue on with the series hopefully.

This book had me lol'ing quite often. When Sam is trying to piss off the vamps, were some of my favorite parts. The vamp club scene was priceless. Not as much Gregory in this one, which was a good thing because it made Sam up her antics. Wyatt really proved his mettle in this book too. If you like a spunky, fun, and witty character you should give these a try! Can't wait to see what's in store for Sam now (especially after the "big event" in this one!).

I can now remember why I stopped with this series, if it keeps continuing on much like book one did. I really do want to continue on though some of the later books seem interesting and I have hear it gets better so here is hoping. Also reading little one five million times doesn't sound like an endearment anymore just sounds like you don't like saying her name or something. It was okay but not enough action it was mostly just sexy times and it wasn't even romantic in my opinion at least.

You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'green/teal'.

Good Job!! :D

I am currently on a visit to my family in Greece so I might be a bit late updating the lists for the following week but I'll make sure to catch up as soon as I'm able.
Enjoy your books for now and once again congrats on our latest stamp!

Review:
A very interesting new world, where shifters of different kinds live in secret in a small dessert town.
Jena, a young widowed mother of two young boys has been back home to Cambio Springs for a few years now after her husband's death, when the new chief of police arrives and starts making things complicated for her.
Caleb, who is leaving behind his old life in hopes of starting over in Cambio Springs, has his hands full when he has to solve a murder on his first week in his new life.
The two make a great couple and I really enjoyed reading their story. I liked the atmosphere of the story and the secondary characters that were introduced, two of which have their own story in the next book in the series, Desert Bound.
Before that, though, we get to read a short story about some important moments in Ted and Alex's life that brought them where they are, in Five Mornings.

Looking forward to our new shelf today.

So this wasn't bad but I feel like it just ended without the main plot line that was developed (blood feud with another pack) being resolved and no follow up books. So what was the point of all the blood feud stuff? Did they run the returning bad guy off? Who knows. It just ends. Makes me wonder if the 2 books in this series didn't do well and so it was abandoned.

I am reading the second Cambio Springs book which has shifters in it so it should be fine for the shelf, but I can't check right now for confirmation.
Hope you're enjoying your books and sorry for the delays in my captain duties...

This actually started off slow for me. But once Cross and Pippa started interacting more it really picked up for me. I really identified with Pippa in being the odd ball all the time. I also love red headed men and they are the minority as far as romance novel heroes. So I loved that Cross is a carrot top. Also nice to have the heroine be the one to save the hero for a change.
