Is The Fury and the Fury by William Faulkner a classic?

message 1062: by Lesle, Appalachian Bibliophile (new)

Lesle | 8704 comments Mod
Majeed, I think maybe you are asking about The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner.

Yes it does qualify. 1929 is more than 50 years ago and does fit in our description of a Classic. Does not matter the read as long as it is at least 50 years old.
Thank you for checking.

Tim | 276 comments Just finished The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James, 1881.
The edition I read was the Heritage Press edition written on very large paper with a more readable sized font. Each HPE comes with its own box in which to shelve and store. The large page edition makes for fewer total pages to read. I could not find the HPE on goodreads. The total pages are 516 not including the forward which I enjoyed reading.

I love HPE editions with the slipcover and the pamphlet that comes with it! Thank you!

I own several of them. Our public library has several of them, as well. The Portrait of a Lady was a copy owned by the library.
