Task 21 - 120. Read 8 books in series that have names that are 3 words long.
Books selected for this task need to be in series that have names that are three words long. Series such as ‘Ice Planet Barbarians’, ‘MacKenzies & McBrides’, ‘Tales From Verania’ or ‘Cut & Run’ would work for this task. Please include the series name in your completion posts.

Do the books have to be from the same series, or can we pick different three-word series?

Ok, off to search

I should be done with both tonight. Let me know if I need to do a third, I can have one as a backup. I'll have Barbarian Lover on standby cuz it's a super shortie!

He Said Always by Ruth Cardello

Pages: 253
How it fits: The Series is called 'The Lost Corisis
Date completed: October 31, 2021
Rating: 4 ⭐
Review: I maybe started with the wrong Ruth Cardello series. But even though I don't know what the other series is about, I thoroughly enjoyed reading He Said Always.
Teagan & Tian have fantastic chemistry, and I liked how they talked about everything. They had excellent communication between them.
I enjoyed the conversation Gian had with his father. The guidance he got is something that he passed on when he talked with his brother Dominique and Teagan.
Ruth Cardello brings us a story of romance with family and loyalty, pulling them in different directions. I enjoyed reading Teagan and Gian's stories.
Even though it is my first time reading Ruth Cardello, I am sure it won't last. I am looking forward to reading her other books from her other series.

Okeey, I'll do my third one tomorrow. About to post the first two now!

UGH! More questions.
I was not happy with Nate in this one. Max is also really hiding stuff too. But that ending! This author just makes sure that there is no way for you NOT to continue on to find out what's going to happen. I know who I want Hanna to be with (Nate) but I'm not sure how this is going to turn out. *sigh*

Everything makes sense.
No one was great in this series.
But man, Max kind of grew on me.
I hated the explanation about Hanna's fall after all that.
I would like it if the man who didn't end up with Hanna got to have his own book. I think he does deserve it.
I don't want to say too much so as not to give everything away. But I do feel like things ended up the way they were supposed to.

This wasn't the fun and silly like I'm used too in this series, so it wasn't my favorite but I still liked it. I was glad that Kira was able to get her HEA.. But there were some funny parts like Aehako's courting gift to Kira. LOL
I have to know what happened to Harlow so I'm definitely continuing with this series!

The Vine Witch by Luanne G. Smith

Pages: 263
How it fits: The Series is called 'The Vine Witch'
Date completed: November 1, 2021
Rating: 3.75 ⭐
Review: If you love wine, witches, and magic - The Vine Witch is the book for you. Luanne G. Smith's debut works, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Nicely written, this book grabbed me from the beginning. The World Building was great, and the characters were appealing. The whole idea of various types of witches, including Vine Witches, was intriguing. Yes, there were other Supernaturals included, but the Vine (Wine) witches were the focus. The story starred a strong Heroine who didn't need a man to rescue her. She ended up doing some rescuing. The murder mystery was entertaining, and the story had an interesting twist towards the end.
The magic was a lot of fun with traditional witchy things like potions, hexes, and spells, but there's also a bit of randomness thrown in, and there is no limit. I would have loved to learn more about the secret society governing all these witches and the laws, but I believe there are two more books in the series, so maybe we will get information later.
I recommend it to people who love to dabble in fantasy with a side of realism and highly recommend the audio. It's a fun way to pass the time, and I'll be looking into the next book in the series.

Thanks, Sassa, It helps that I listened to the book when I could during work. I have to start my PTP. I chose Tessa Dare's Romancing the Duke. Most probably, I will start it tomorrow. The truth is I could have picked for this task as well. You can't have them all.

Take Me Again, Carly Phillips – 10/31/21 – ✮✮✮✮✰
Kindle first-edition ➔ 234 pages
How the Book Qualifies ➔ book #1 in The Knight Brothers series
Review — This was a sweet second-chance romance. It moved a bit too quickly for me at times, but I still enjoyed getting to know Sebastian and Ashley.

Reign, Elizabeth Knox – 10/31/21 – ✮✮✮✰✰
Kindle first-edition ➔ 340 pages
How the Book Qualifies ➔ book #1 in Skulls Renegade MC series
Review — This was a decent book, but not great. It had a lot of potential, but fell short with limited character development and an underdeveloped story. If I read any more in this series, I hope for a stronger story and characters.

Book:

Pages: 509
Read: 1 November
Rating: 5⭐️
How it qualifies: The series is the ‘Black Dagger Brotherhood’ which has 3 words
Review: I really enjoyed this one. It links into the Fallen Angel series and with the end of one evil comes the beginning of another. I liked the story of Jo and Syn and how she found her brothers. There wasn’t so much jumping about between all the other characters and I did miss finding out what was going on with them but it would have annoyed me if it detracted from the main story. Bring on the next one!
