The thing to me is the way both stories were told.
Joel was a murderer indeed but the whole story was so well written and the character was so fleshed out that we accepted Joe´s decision agreeing or not.
I never understood Abby´s way of thinking. I think she was truly a bad person that used her "revenge" to do whatever she wanted to do just like most serieal killers.
Joel had a somewhat noble reason but she was just cruel so i could never sympathise with her.
I tried but i couldnt. And when she wanted to kill the pregnant women...nah. It was over for me.
Again, i understand where they were going for but i didnt like the writting at all.

Haha.
I actually had more fun playing Andromeda then Tlou2. That´s a fact.

That said, the 2nd remaster of the first game , the trophies looked a bit easier, but I lost interest in another replay so gave up fairly quick. Looked great, but once looks like being enough for me.

Hi everyone
Been feeling a bit more tired then usual so i took a little break from Dead Island 2 (just a couple of days) and been playing Return to Monkey Island.
Its a love letter to all the fans of the original game. I´ve been having a great time playing it.
It also has a terrific hint system that never lets you getting stuck for too much time.
I highly recomend it.

Mate, you should get back to Dead Island 2.
Its a hell of a game.

Also played a bit more Elden Ring, and a wee bit of Aliens Dark Descent, which seems promising early on but we'll see
Congrats on the Plat. To me Hotwheels doesn't seem an easy one.
For me I started Death Stranding. I spent a good 8 hours on it over the weekend and I'm on mission 14. Or should I say delivery 14 lol. What do I say about this game. So far I absolutely love it. It's defo got that Kojima presentation style - the long cut-scenes, the interesting but wierd characters, the weird overall vibe, the very dark and engaging story albeit trademark confusing. And even the game play without it being MGS all feels very familiar Kojima style with the deep menus, wide selection of tools, the slightly stealthy nature of it, the mechanics etc. And I love the world. Sparse but errie and beautiful. And even the game play is better than I imagined. OK I've delivered a fair few packages walking through the landscape but I've not found it boring. And some of the missions I've encountered BTs and the human enemies. I've even got a gun and a electric bike. The BTs are really spooky too and I have been dragged away once as in across the landscape and when I was released I wasn't sure what to do - a big enemy coming for me but I walked away and escaped somehow. The game is confusing though - the menu systems and choices of tools, structures etc is a bit overwhelming but I'll get there. Only concern is, can this game play capture my interest for 70 missions lol - I checked the walkthrough. Time will tell. So far so good but after 20-30 hours I'll either still love it, need a break or I'll bin it off, as it's easily looking like a 40-50 hour game.

Loving it so far. I really hope it continues. Could be epic. I forgot to say the soundtrack is spot on. Kojima always nails the soundtrack. I just wish I had a music player whilst out on a delivery rather than just in my quarters. MGS5 had a music player when out and about.

Mate
I have Low Roar on my playlist because of the game.
Such a great band and it fits perfectly with the mood the game delivers.

Same here mate. I'm listening to Low Roar now as I work (and post on here) and added them to my music library and playlist. Really does suit the game perfectly. Thankfully in the game the music is played at certain moments when on a delivery but I wish the music player wasn't confined to just the quarters. Listening to 'Easy Way Out' as I type !

Managed to knock off the last few trophies in the PS4 version of F1 Manager 22 and closing in on the 2nd Hot Wheels plat, so not a bad few days
Hi everyone
Still having a blast with Dead Island 2.
Did the sewer section last night and it was as tense as the one in DI1.
Great stuff.

Gonna see if I can get into Synapse a bit more later, I think

Hi Error
How was the game?
I read that the auto-leveling of the enemies kinda ruins the rpgness and character progression of the whole thing. Did it bother you?

In general Diablo games really don't strike me as very RPG. You have your skill trees, but that doesn't define it for me. Diablo IV makes it very easy to change up your skills and bonuses for just a small amount of gold. I did this way more than other games. A build can start to dead end and you'll need to change tactics. In general I found the game to be much harder than 2 or especially 3. There were still plenty of moments when a new piece of gear would allow you to dominate enemies for a few levels though. No, the auto-leveling didn't bother me and the only time I paid any attention was when I was doing stronghold events. Only then because these events put enemies two levels above you so extra caution is needed.
I loved the change to open world and open ended questing. It all leads to the same Diablo style demon slaying, but you can really mix it up to suit your taste. I would do story missions (longer) to open up a bit of map, some small side quests to further explore the area, and sometimes the little events that pop up randomly in the world. There are random dungeons and caves littered across the entire map (which I don't even have completely uncovered).
Diablo IV is an evolution of the formula. It has become an open-world adventure game that lets the player generate their dungeon crawling however they see fit. If you have ever liked any Diablo, get this one. Unless you have crazy nostalgia for 2 (or 1) it will be your best Diablo experience. Solid 9/10.
***Cruising the countryside on a flaming demon unicorn was quite enjoyable!***

Had a look at the soft cap for stat points and thought I'd see what kind of character I could create based on their first limit. Mostly going well, but with endurance of only 15, I reckon it'll be a struggle. I can cope with lighter armour etc but the lack of stamina is making it significantly tougher than the one I completed the game with. Still, I've managed to kill Godrick OK, so maybe it'll be fine. And I'm enjoying the self imposed restrictions like finding the right balance of gear to fit the stats, rather than my usual - ooh like the look of that, let's put some stat points to be able to use it.
Hi all. I’m off work this week but have managed to put a few hours into Death Stranding. I’m just over half way through the campaign on delivery 37. I’ve definitely got a good feel for the game now. I’m still enjoying it and feel the pull to play more. However, the game has dropped an r-score-o-meter review point or two. It’s starting to feel a bit samey now, doing delivery after delivery with little variation. The terrain can be so f’ing annoying getting frequently stuck in very very rocky areas. Plus I’ve had very little reason to use ladders or ropes - compared to early on in the game - as I can get around mostly on foot or bike albeit with the getting stuck frustrations. I still love the world though, the chilled vibe and dark feel to everything. The story though after initially starting off really well hasn’t really progressed that much in a number of hours. I see these as the ‘could be better’ aspects of the game. There are some things I don’t like or enjoy - not bad but just not to my taste - such as having to nanny boot wear, recharging suits that lose battery quickly. The hover platform is plain annoying to load up - it could be easier or more intuitive. There have been some good missions though that stand out from the run-of-the-mill deliveries where I’m sent into run down built up areas haunted by BTs - really nerve jangling. So far I’m still enjoying it but it’s gone from a 10/10 to an 8/10 but if it picks up in the latter half it could notch up again to a 9.

Morning all
Still having a blast with Dead island 2.
Great game and great fun.
I think i´ll be playing Final Fantasy XV after i finish DI2.
As much as im enjoying DI im in need of some FF magic in my life atm.
With how stressfull real life can be at times, finishing my days with a game that its all about violence is not "healing" my spirit.

I wasnt talking about the new one mate.
I meant the previous one. I have it in my backlog for ages and been saving it for when i feel like playing a huge rpg.

Did you like it?
I have the Royal Edition which has all the DLC´s and im pretty confused about it.
I know there´s some movies that must be watched in order to understand the full story and also the DLc´s need to be played in a specific order during the game but i havent bothered to study the whole thing yet.
I just hope the game is a bit like FF 12 which i absolutely loved playing.
I know its not one of the favourites by the fans i have such great memories of it.

I also played 12 a few years ago and enjoyed it a lot. Part of that is the fact that it's the last of the classic FF games and the story is much easier to follow, therefore enjoyable.
I felt compelled to boot up Elden Ring last night. My poison assassin uses hook claws, not dagger. Working through Nokron - The Eternal City now.

Just got an email from Microsoft saying my Gamepass Ultimate sub is getting price raise...like its the best thing in the world.
Im truly honored to have the priviledge to pay a bit more then before.
Also, it feels like the great selling point is getting Starfield on day one...which we all know will be full of bugs and the proper game will be ready 3 or 4 months after launch.

Yes, they're both fantastic. All things taken into consideration, including year of release, and what was technically possible with a computer game released in 2013 vs one released in 2020, they're probably about equal to me. Technically of course 2 is far ahead in most regards.
And I like the story too. I appreciate both sides and the only reason a lot of fans are team Ellie and hate Abby is because we have spent more time with Ellie. Truth is that what Joel did at the end of TLoU was straight-up murder, and in the cutthroat post-apocalyptic world of TLoU, Abby is totally justified in her actions.
