Except that fool I had a run in with a few years ago. I can't remember his name but he had some funny ideas about COD.

It must be around this time 10 years ago that I joined the original amazon forum. Scary stuff.

If I remember rightly I joined the Amazon forum soon after I got my PS3 which was 2009, or even 2008, I think. So 12-13 years. Crazy.

Fast travel is done through the use of port crystal items. Basically you set up your fast travel points manually, and increase the number available as the game progresses. Use your early ones strategically to save some frustration.
Pawns are a huge deal. They can really carry you through parts of early game/the main questline. They can point out secrets to you if they've experienced them before. (If you're on Xbox you can borrow mine, but you are probably on PS, and there are more than enough interesting ones out in the wild.) Experiment and you'll find some that complement your party and help guide the way.
Nighttime is NOT A JOKE in this game.
All the vocations (classes) in Dragon's Dogma are great fun. While leveling, what class you are determines what stats level. Spending time leveling as a fighter or warrior, for example, will ensure you have a decent pool of health, even if you end up focusing on a mage later on. If you do a lot of leveling as a mage and want to be a warrior late game, you're gonna have a bad time. The first 50-100 levels shape your base stats.
That plenty for now. I hope you enjoy.
There is a thread on the US forum that has most of my thoughts and advice if you feel like poking through that. (Dragon's Dogma 1.3)
Unfriended and blocked on Xbox live too. Absolutely bizarre. I think that says it all really and final bit of evidence.
Very bizarre as you say. I would love to know what's prompted this as there weren't any signs as such. I hope nothing happened to him to send him off the rails.
At least we have this place now so thanks for setting it up so quickly.

Yeah, I'm enjoying it for the most part. Building coasters and paths can be a bit fiddly at times but generally think it's pretty well done, considering the type of game. The career is getting a bit tougher, I did that race track one last night, the vendors were a right pain and times I just couldn't figure out were the park was haemorrhaging money. I think it was more luck than good planning that got me there in the end. Pretty addictive stuff though if you like the type of game
Had about an hour on Mass Effect last night and did what I wanted to do, just. Escaping the hot labs was as hard as I thought it may be and took about 15 attempts. Thankfully I knew what was coming up and made a save just before it. The fight with Lady Benezia went a lot easier than I thought it would which was a bonus.
Back on the Normandy now and off to Feros tonight. Possibly via somewhere else as I unlocked a side mission on Noveria to find a doctor somewhere which I'd not done on my normal or hard-core runs.

Thanks mate.
The vocations tip is really usefull.
I´ll definitley check thread on DD.
I did the prologue last night and spent a gigantic time creating my character. It was the first rpg that didnt let me name my character Glassmoon cause it blocked the "ass". lol
In the prologue it turned a bit into Benny Hill´s Dogma cause there´s no lock on system and it caught me off guard but after a while i started to get the hang of it.
I stopped playing right after being attacked by the dragon and waking up in a village house. The game wants me to pick up a weapon and mentioned something about vocations so i decided to call it anight and resume tonight with a fresh mind so i dont screw up my choices.
Im excited.

I think each and everyone has the right to have its moment of lunacy and isolate himself or whatever.

Glass - don't most fans of the Dead Space series regard the first as the best? I certainly do. It was the first ps3 game i bought - before i even bought the console! It was my first plat, and is my favourite game ever.
Dead Space 2 is incredibly strong - almost as good - but it's so similar to the first and and not really better in any way. It's not like Assassins Creed to AC2, Mass Effect to ME2 or Uncharted to U2 where the changes were huge - the differences between DS and DS2 are very subtle. DS1 is deffo the best.
It's not confirmed whether it's a trilogy remake, a remaster, a reboot or DS4.....I'd be happy with an Uncharted Trilogy/ME Trilogy style overhaul of the trilogy. Not quite a remake but more than a basic remaster. I never actually played DS3 but would be happy to give it a blast. I'd absolutely love to play DS1 and DS2 again.
If it's DS4 then go back to horror basics - look at RE7 as an example of a classic series going back to its roots and getting it right.

I know a lot of us think DS1 as the best. But i remember feeling like an alien when i couldnt get into DS 2.
I tried it 2 times and quit. Only on my third time i started to enjoy it.
I felt it was completly diferent from DS1 in regards to the atmosphere. Way to much action focused. Maybe that´s why i liked DS3. I was pretty much the same as DS2 and i didnt expect much from it.

Hmm...different opionions - all good :) I didn't feel DS2 was any more action-focused compared to DS1. In fact the only major difference I really noticed was that Isaac isn't mute in DS2.
That's why I prefer DS1 - because DS2 is so similar, it doesn't really bring anything new to the table, just carries on the greatness!
I've never played the DS games but was always on the understanding that DS3 was the odd one out and the first two were similar in terms of being more horror focused.

Its been a very long time since i played it mate.
Sometimes playing a specific game at the wrong time can lead to diferent feelings.
I do remember liking it very much on my third try though.
The first two i just felt like something wasnt quite right.
A bit like Bioshock. B1 was an absolute masterpiece to me. B2 was very inferior to the first one despite having the same setting, mechanics and gameplay. It just didnt have the same "magic".
I guess that´s my problem with Dead Space 2 if i think about it.

Yeah, unfriending people is one thing but taking the whole thing down? Bit selfish, whatever the circumstances. What's done is done though, we move on.

Agreed.
Played the trilogy with updated visuals would be great.
I have a VR game in my VR backlog called Persistance that looks a lot like Dead Space although in first person.
I havent had the guts to play it yet though as it looks really scary.

I played all three Dead Space games. I actually liked 3, it's defo the weakest of the three but still enjoyable IMO. Not sure of the first two which I prefer.
Any mod can delete a forum. I checked - it gave me one last warning when I tested it on here (obviously I didn't and won't go through with it ever) but it's clear it can be done by just one mod.

My guess is that, since he was the one who created it, by deleting himself the group is also deleted. Im not certain but it could be.
That´s why i said that he should have told us before leaving so we could make another group calmly.

No I'm not naming - just in case I'm wrong - but the evidence is strong considering the same person has unfriended me on both here and xbox live. I know people might think he might be having a hard time or something like that but for me you don't take a giant crap on a forum like that - he had a total disregard to people he's been chatting with for about a decade. We even messaged each other many times when I helped him through a tough time in his life (this was a year or so ago). As far as I'm concerned I hope he doesn't come back and if he does I'd prefer to block him - unless he's got a very good reason and actually owns up to what he did.

I don't think it works like that. There is a delete button - any mod can delete the forum independently. Plus first it went private - the forum still existed - and then it was deleted. I think he removed the other mods first so they had no admin rights and then he was left with sole admin rights. I suspect he probably wasn't sure how it worked and removed us just in case we were messaged as a warning or had to approve the forum deletion. For such a measured action of complete contempt for us I'm glad he's gone.

There was also at least one other instance that I know of, where arguing and personality differences led to the banning of another member here who probably contributed more than anyone else on a regular basis...(Hoopla10).
Ironically, I actually liked the unmentioned person I’m referring to, but I think it all demonstrates a certain pattern of toxic online behavior, and it’s particularly unfortunate in a group setting such as this one.
I invited Hoopla to the new forum. I think it's highly unlikely he'll rejoin. Let's just say I tried to keep him a member of the old forum but as the person that shall not be named was admin when I added hoopla back he was deleted again.

True.
Thats was an unfortunate event indeed.
And completely pointless as between the two groups we could have a really dinamic forum.
I also tried to bring back Matflan sometime ago and he told me he also had an issue with Who Shal Not Be Named and didnt want to join, which was really sad as i really liked Mat.

I can't see the new sale Deck. Are you looking on your PS5? I'm looking on the app but the sales haven't changed.

Yeah, on PS5, seems to update there at 11.00 most weeks. There's a mid year sale and a sub 20 one, but half of what's there seem to be add ons
Weak sale for me
Only interested in Immortal Legacy and Detached which are suposed to be two good VR games.

Cheers, didn't realise there's a demo.
Think I'm leaning toward nay though for once. I'll wait till it's nearer the £20 mark since I plan on picking up Scarlet Nexus on Friday

I find that I end up losing hours in management-type games without anything all that noteworthy happening. Good for you tackling that park (think it was 8/10 in the career mode). I just became too overwhelmed and decided I'd had enough. Course the game had glitched for me and wasn't awarding my achievements, which probably was more of a factor in quitting than it should have been ; )
I also really enjoyed the story, gunplay, and powers of Outriders. I played almost exclusively solo, so I had no interest in endgame. 20-30 hrs of quality fun. I'd say <30 it a go.

Yeah, it was pretty funny, I'd not put any points in his physical stats, I'd focused on the mental/intelligence side, and had no need to even switch the light on. His death was completely unexpected
Weird but interesting wee game but if you like the type, it's definitely worth a look from what I've played so far

Yeah, ..."
The career starts off pretty easy but it is getting to the point where I'm pulling my hair out. I'm on to one where vandals keep destroying stuff and staff keep quitting and the park is losing money right, left and centre.
I'd initially just stuck it on while I thought of something else to play. Days later I'm still at it
The new PS store sales are poor again. The Order 1886 still around the £18 mark??

I think its a fair price for what it is honestly.
I played it not so long ago and for that price or less its a good deal.
The game still looks stupidly amazing.

It had a solid shooting gameplay and the story was interesting.

It's 6 or 7 years old mate. It was pretty much a launch game and 5 hours long. I really enjoyed it, more than most I think but even so, in 2021 it should sub £10 if not sub £5.
I think £18 now is borderline outrageous tbh.

In the past The Order 1886 was £5 on the PS Store in a sale. They must have put the prices up in this sale.

Yes mate, I'm watching as many games as possible. I love the big tournaments

Getting near the end of Planet Coaster now, made a start on the hard difficulty ones. If the last few parks are turning out to be too much of a chore I might take a break and come back to them. If they aren't too bad then it's looking pretty platable
