OK, a couple of comment on how you are doing things. It totally works ok for this challenge as I don't check teams until you tell me you are finished. It will matter if you don't change 'Selection' to 'Completion' though - I skip right over selection posts!Just don't carry this over to BTC please, as I know some of you do both challenges! I do check the team threads there over the course of the date and don't go backwards through the threads after I've checked once, otherwise it would take me forever at the end to tally things up!!
Here is your next task!Task 3 - 12. Read a book recommended to you by a teammate - no pass for this task.
You can do the recommendations however you wish - to the group, to each individual, to the person below you on the list or ?? - it's up to you. If you want to provide a specific shelf to pick from, it needs to have a minimum of 10 books on it. Please include who recommended the book to you and the message number of link to the recommendation in your completion posts.
Oooh this is nice and early and i need a historical for another challenge so im hoping one have you have recommended one 😄😄
Just to.make it easier 12. Read a book recommended to you by a teammate - no pass for this task.

Considering the theme of this ( amnesia) it was quite a sweet book, i would have liked to get to know Justin & Dallas a bit more before the accident tjough ....and i little epilogue would have been nice
Would you say he's wearing a coat in this cover?
Then I can slot it in with another challenge and start it now lol. We are also doing a terrible job of taking this slower than last year 😂
I would say its a coat, I'm using mine for UNOI'm sure we'll be slowing down when there's 6 books to be read

Fair Game by Josh Lanyon
270 Pages
How it qualifies: Recommended to me by Trio Msg 48
Completed: 3/19/2021
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: Josh Lanyon is very hit or miss for me. Her mysteries are always well done, there’s never any question about that, so for me it always comes down to how much I like the characters and the romance. I have to say, I really enjoyed them here! It’s a little too early to tell, but I think these two could definitely become two of my Lanyon favorites! (If you think Adrien and Jake are the others you are WRONG; Kit and JX forever ❤️)

Review:
Perfect ending! 😍
Despite all the sexual tension, the white
speedos and the lick, sip, suck tequila game I felt the story to be slow-going and slightly repetitive during the first half. After around the 65% mark the story picked up and there was finally some action going on.
And then that perfect ending! Some might find it cheesy and OTT, but I just loved it.

YAY, I'm so glad you enjoyed it - I beta'd that series and totally fell in love with Elliot. I wish she'd kept up with these two and I definitely recommend the next two books!
mmm, decisions decisions! So I'm tempted by Caipi's recommendation of Julien, but I haven't read Robbie yet either.
Is it possible to switch it since that's episode 1 in the series?
The Q&A says the series rule works for this challenge so should be good! You might want to double check just because this specific task is one of the few where specific books are mentioned, but I think it’ll be fine
it's interesting that two of you guys picked Broken for me too, and I own that one already as well *choices*!

Thanks for the recommendation Caipi, i cried lots but i did agree with Trios review as well, for the theme it was about it everything was easy and made simple
okay - I downloaded Dark Space, Broken, and Robbie: Dark Space won for today. I'm cleaning and organizing, dog walking, and putting away the rest of my Christmas Decorations. It's a winner lol!

I knew it was going to be fantastic, and I'm so glad I did it in audio. Chris Chambers does a marvelous job. The voices he uses for Brady and Cam are perfect, and he succeeds in keeping up Lisa Henry's fast and steady pace.
Exciting and very creative - just don't listen to this audiobook and not expect to need the next one ASAP. I had it downloaded before I'd even finished this one.

Glad you enjoyed it , exxellent series
Ooh this series is included in the big giveaway I won from Lisa last year, I should definitely move it up on the list.
Oh I haven't seen any mass giveaways since Winter Wonderland so if you do see another one please send it along!! I meant I wont a 10 book giveaway Lisa Henry was doing in her Facebook group. It was amazing, I never win anything lol
Caipi, i thi k the weather was horrible over there the day i read Private Charter, so the sun , water, really cheered me up ..think i spent 2 days imagining myself on that boat
Janeylou wrote: "Caipi, i thi k the weather was horrible over there the day i read Private Charter, so the sun , water, really cheered me up ..think i spent 2 days imagining myself on that boat"The beautiful weather, sun and beach was definitely a bonus! But I must admit that I have mixed feelings when it comes to sailing. My husband loves sailing and unfortunately I am the scaredy-cat on the water. As long as the boat glides smoothly over the water it is wonderful, but as soon as it gets a bit wavy and the sailboat is heeling I get scared...... 🙈🙈🙈
Here is your next task!Task 4 - 2. Each player reads the first book in a series, can be same or different series - no pass for this task.
Books selected for this task need to be marked as #1 or lower in a series listed on GR.

Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater
480 Pages
How it qualifies: #1 in the Dreamer Trilogy
Completed: 3/21/2021
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Review: The way Stiefvater writes is breathtaking and this book was no exception. It takes the world we saw get built in TRC and expands on it with some beloved old characters and a whole host of interesting new ones. The Lynch brothers were all so very intriguing before, and you get a much more in depth look at them here (although I’m hoping for more Matthew in the next two books). The only thing I desperately wanted more of is Adam Parrish and how Badass Ronan becomes such a cinnamon roll for him. It was there in pieces, and I’m so happy that they’re still together, but I will always want more.

Featherbed by Annabeth Albert
Pages: 186
How it qualifies: #1 in the Vino & Veritas Series
Completed: 23rd March
Rating: 3 stars
Review:
It was okay, started nice with a couple lol moments but then I lost interest and it took me way too long to read these few pages. I just didn't feel it between these two, there was no spark that catched me. Finn and Harrison both had issues, one health wise and the other from past experiences and while I generally understood where they came from I didn't like the way they acted on it. Especially Harrison.

I was really hoping to like this more , took ages to get into it and felt like i was missing something ...only to find that it is a spin off from another series that ive not read 🙄🙄
Completion Post, Task 4First Book in a Series:
Caught by the Scot by Karen Hawkins
385 pages
How it Qualifies: #1 in Made to Marry series
Read: 3/23/2021
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: It's been a long time since I read a real "bodice ripper" and this one ended up being pretty cute. Follows the traditional plan, but there are some nicely original touches which beef up the story.
Enhanced by Gary Furlong's wonderful narration, definitely do this one as an audiobook. Four stars for the audio.
