Watcha' Doing - 2021

First, they did a radial artery (wrist) instead of a femoral artery (groin) puncture for the angiogram. It's a relatively new process for cranial angiograms, though they have done them for cardiac ones. I had the luck of the draw in that I got the only radiologist at the U of A Hospital who does them!
The recovery from that is 100% better for everyone, not just the patient. They seal the puncture with a band that goes around the wrist. It has a bladder that is filled with air until enough pressure is there to stop any bleeding. After an hour, they remove 2 mls of air every 15 minutes until there is no more air left and it's removed. Instead of laying flat on your back, unable to lift your head or bend your knees, you can sit up, bend your knees, and move your arms. You just can't put pressure on the hand where the puncture is.
I saw the neurologist the next day, and he showed us the before and after pictures. The aneurism has significantly reduced in size, but there is still a bit of bleeding going into it. I've been taken off the blood thinner which may stop the bleeding. In 6 months, I'll have another angiogram. If it's stopped, it will be considered a cure. If not, I will have to have another stent.
So great news.

Ah, how we all love getting older!! Jet lag was easier, time change was easier.....honestly....stairs were easier!! lol
And the fall one bugs me too, though it is easier because I can just keep the same schedule and be up early.

Congratulations Janice. Good news!

That IS great news, Janice. Welcome back.

That is exciting, Sarah!

Wow Sarah, that was quick, I take my eye off this thread for a few days and you've found a new home! Hope it all goes through smoothly for you 🙏
@Roz, hope you get a buyer some. It's a pain trying to sell, we're in the process of selling Mums house at the moment and having holdups about rights of way. Contracts are almost signed so fingers crossed!

It is so hard to believe that over 1500 knitters qualified. This probably means that over 2000 registered. I know it's worldwide but still. This is a lot of crazy sock knitters. :)

Go Esther! Sock it to ‘em!

It is a long wait. It's because we're still on lockdown here and the boatyard where the boat will be craned out are on furlough. 20th is the earliest that can happen and have the survey and subsequent work done on it without incuring additional costs.

You might not get much reading done with those balls of fluff about. Very adorable.

I got a rocking chair, an old writing desk, and fire tools and other bits for my woodburning stove. These were my second hand bargains. I've bought a few prints to frame for the wall too. Holding off until nearer the time now to buy anything else as I don't have much space to store it.

About those colored bras....did you have to buy one specially for the occasion or was it just one that was hanging out in the drawer? Neon green? Fuchia ..."
Umm... one of my friends wears them all the time, so they were hanging out in her drawer. LOL!
