Lambs Among Wolves Russell James
I always enjoy Russell James's books and this was no exception - great storytelling, set in some fascinating European locations, and featuring a maverick priest, demonic possession, exorcism and plenty of suspense to ratchet up the excitement.

Just finished reading this book which was great and it is in a series:
Destroy All Cryptids by David Haynes
Come With Me by Ronald Malfi. Arguably the best book I've read this year.

Mammoth Island by Russell James
The latest monster adventure in the author's Grant Coleman series sees our intrepid hero kidnapped and whisked off to a remote island in the Arctic. A great adventure story with plenty of thrills, humour, banter and tension
Maybe because I listened to the audiobook, but I liked Kill the Farm Boy by Delilah S. Dawson and Kevin Hearne much more than most of the people who reviewed the book.
Char wrote: "I tried to listen to that one, and I just couldn't get into it."I enjoyed it as a summer read, I might have found it too ridiculous if I had tried to read it in the fall/winter. Does that make any sense?
MjA wrote: "I liked Recursion. Dark Matter by the same other was my favorite."agreed! i read dark matter not too long ago, and it's been my fave by him so far.
In the last 4 weeks I’ve read the following:The Slob by Aron Beauregard
Tender is the Flesh by Augustina Bazterrica
Man Cave by Angel Gelique
Uzumaki (1-3) by Junji Ito
The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum
Tomie (1-3) by Junji Ito
I finished reading this one over the weekend:
The Haunting of Gillespie House by Darcy Coates - atmospheric spooky.

I LOVED Uzumaki, but Tomie, not so much. I also just read GYO, but so far, I think Uzumaki is my favorite.
I loved Ketchum's The Girl Next Door as well.
I finished one of our group reads: Slattery Falls
and thought it was pretty darn good, especially for a debut novella.
Twisted: Tainted Tales by Janine PipeRed Dennis by Eric Shapiro
A Winter Sleep by Greg F. Gifune
Writing In The Dark by Tim Waggoner
Abandoned by Armand Rosamilia
Shards by Ian Rogers
End of the Road by Brian Keene
The Writing Life by Jeff Strand
The Cabin on Souder Hill by Lonnie Busch
Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Just finished The House of a Hundred Whispers. It starts so well, but I don't know why every haunted house story has to have some kind of wild twist to be fun. I just want an old fashioned "Folks go to a house and ghosts do stuff" story, but everyone always has to throw in extra dimensions or time travel or eldritch horrors into the mix and muddle the pie. Plus, the climax of this book is one of THE most laughable things I've ever read in a horror novel. The word "Honda" should not appear so much in a moody haunted house novel.

Just finished Billy Summers by King, what a story, this one does a bit of a stab! stab! stab! in the heart when you read it. Loved it.

"Children of the Kingdom" is my favourite, but all of the four stories are excellent."
Mine is "Petey" :)
I'm currently reading If It Bleeds. I haven't read any Stephen King for a while and am so happy to be reading more of his short stories. They're the best. He is the Man! (The Scary Man) I'm currently reading Rat. I live in Falmouth, Maine, a couple of miles from the entrance ramp to I-295. He really brings the horror home to me! Thank you, SK!
Just finished The Final Girl Support Group and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. So much of Hendrix feels fun, but slight, by the end, but this is one of the first times I felt like he was writing something with meat, with a backbone, and at the end of the day with a message. I could tell he cared deeply about what he was writing here, and though not perfect I feel like it's probably the best thing he's written.
Just finished August's Eyes by Glenn Rolfe
So well crafted. I reckon this is Glenn Rolfe's best yet. He had me swept up in this horrific story of one man's nightmares merging into reality with devastating effects.
I've just finished Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M. Danforth and loved it. More creepy than terrifying but so atmospheric!
The Perfect GirlfriendAnnoying is the only way I can describe it. I guess this is why I don't read stalker based novels all that often, I just find the main character hard to take.
I've knocked through an all time personal record of 51 so far (One is read and reviewed, but not uploaded to Goodreads yet by the author.), which I'm really pleased about.My most recent was Cuddly Holocaust by Carlton Mellick;

MjA wrote: "How do I put up link to the book I have read or the book cover like above??"Click above the box in which you're typing, "add book/author."
Then you can type in the title of the book, (and sometimes the author's last name, if it doesn't come up by title) and then select it. At the bottom you can choose between posting the title or posting the cover. Click which you would like and that will post it for you.
Last night I read Wall of Kiss by Gina RanalliIt was super weird but mostly weird in how normal it all seemed! Someone liked a review of it and it came up on my feed and it sounded so random I had to read it.
