30.5 - Sandy's task: Making the Best of It
I have always been a "glass half full" kind of person, although the events of 2020 have challenged me! So, I've put together a list of some of the things that I'm grateful for and that have kept me cheerful despite everything else.
No books with the main page genre children or kids may be used. Your two books must have a combined total of t least 600 pages. You may choose two different options, or read two books from the same option.
REQUIRED: In your post, indicate the option(s) that you chose.
Option 2. Despite everything, the garbage gets picked up, packages get delivered, and the grocery stores stay open and stocked. We have many people to thank for this and they deserve our appreciation!
Read a book by a single author whose initials are found in ESSENTIAL WORKER. All initials, including any middle initials listed on Goodreads, must be in the phrase, and letters can only be used as often as they appear in the phrase.
I read Robot Dreams by Isaac Asimov. 352 pp.
Option 4. Read a book from one of the following lists. Remember that all the rules apply (length, childrens, etc.), even if a book is found on one of these lists.
Future Technology Nonfiction
Science & Literature Together at Last
Essential Computer History and Information Revolution Books
REQUIRED: Specify the list you used and the page on which your book can be found.
I read The Flamingo's Smile: Reflections in Natural History by Stephen Jay Gould, # 68, p. 1 on the Science and Literature: Together at Last list.
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/4... 450 pp.
