I actually managed to finish Under the Skin during my lunch hour! I know we don't have to fill in all of the categories, but for those of you like me that feel the need to do so.... The following categories haven't been claimed by anyone yet:
Fairytale (or retelling)
Animal main character
Royal Character
Horror
Dystopia
Vampires/Werewolves
Fantasy (No vamps/were's)
I have finished my third book, The Daughter of Time, for the 'Hobbies - Reading' task. It was an interesting mix of history and mystery and I enjoyed it a lot.I will make a start on my fourth book tomorrow. I think I will go for Glimpse which is meant to be inspired by Alfred Noyes' poem 'The Highwayman' which is my all time favourite poem. I can't 100% guarantee that I will finish it before the end of the toppler but I will give it a good go! :)

Marie, I'm 1/2 way through with
for Bonnie & Clyde. And my cat's name is Clyde - kind of fitting, right?
I'll either read The Handmaid's Tale for dystopia or Redemption for vampires. It'll just depend on the what mood I'm in when I get time to read tonight.

Marie, I..." ok so i will leave foxglove summer am doing the age of miracles

Until tomorrow Divas!
Moved KimmyDiann and Under the Skin to horror. If your Mudbug book Casceil can count for sexy times, I can move my Succubus book down to vamps and other forms of life interacting with humans.
I've finished 4 books for the Toppler. I've started 2 new books - The Reincarnationist which I think fits Claire & Jaime best since he keeps zipping back into a previous life. The title is a dead giveaway, I guess. LOL!The other book I started is Fever which can only fit in as "sexy". I mean it is erotica, and there's not much of a plot.

Hah! I'll leave my comments on your other book till when I'm not on a work computer.
I finished The Perfume Collector. I'm open to reading a book in a category that hasn't been covered yet.Any preferences?
Rusalka wrote: "Hah! I'll leave my comments on your other book till when I'm not on a work computer"Looking forward to them. Hahaha!
I finished The Enchanted Castle this morning and started on The Handmaid's Tale. I'm not very far into The Handmaid's Tale, but I'm finding the writing style to be.... jarring. I can't think of the correct word to describe it right now, but it just doesn't flow well to me. Take this sentence for example: "The carpet bends and goes down the front staircase and I go with it, one hand on the banister, once a tree, turned in another century, rubbed to a warm gloss." This ADD narrative pulls me out of what I'm reading to make me analyze the sentence so I can understand what exactly is being talked about. I don't like that. I'm going to listen to and read The Handmaid's Tale so I can fit it in before the end of the toppler. I'm curious to see if I can follow the narrative better listening to the audio version or if I will be even more confused!
KimeyDiann, that does sound difficult to read. Talk about a confusing sentence! It's almost steam of consciousness. But, it will fulfill the post-apocalyptic category nicely.
I was curious about what our covers would look like all together... So, here is what our mystery date looks like:
Hmm, lets play around with that a little...
It looks like our date could be a buff, baby-faced, dancer!
Liz wrote: "Haha! Love that torso! and what kind of job did our date end up having?"It appears our date is involved in law enforcement. Lisa wants a date with a psychic/paranormal investigator and Janice doesn't want to date someone working as sheriff in a post-apocalyptic world. So, whether it is good or bad, law enforcement/detective/cop is what we have.
BTW, I just added Jackaby to my TBR, sounds fascinating!
I am going to start The World According to Bob: The Further Adventures of One Man and His Street-wise Cat this should fit for main character is an animal
What a coincidence, Marie. I also just started a book in which an animal is a main character. The Cat, the Vagabond and the Victim. I don't know whether I will finish mine, since I have to work today and tomorrow, so good to know the topic is covered.
I started Glimpse this afternoon and am now about halfway through. I can be a bit hit-and-miss with young adult novels but this one is pretty enjoyable so far.Great job again today Divas!

Actually, I think I must have been half-asleep when I wrote that. The book I read with a female torso is
. That one was reported.
I've started books 5 and 6. I hope I can finish the audiobook on my road trip tomorrow. I should get book 6 done before the end of the toppler too. Speaking of which, I'll be off line for most of the day and possibly most of the weekend.
Don't know what to read now - all has been done except re-tellings according to the spreadsheet. I still have time to read a 5th book, but I don't like fairy tales - soo sorry teammates. I'm starting
until somebody tells me what we need.
We need all the books you can read, Anne. There's no requirement to plug all the spots. We're able to double up on tasks, so we can put Greg Iles book in wherever it fits best. Woohoooo! We are free! Free, I tell you!
Janice - Woohoo! This Diva is happy, happy
I think
can fit as murder or another crime or shooting as well as new to me author!
Wow guys! Nearly plugged everything for the fun of it and so many reads!Yup, only gaps are fairy tale and post-apocalyptic. Tent put you in the fairy tale Lara, but feel free to move around. I'll try and finish my read tonight and have a look what I have. Unfortunately I read The Road in a day this time last year. Otherwise it would have been perfect.
So many tasks covered and so many books read, awesome!I'm pretty sure I will finish my third book tomorrow before the toppler ends.

Woot wooot
That reminds me. I need to go read mine.
I am going to read - Quite a Year for Plumsthis could score for
South america
or humour
i know we have covered them before but the only category not covered is post apocalyptic and i have nothing that would cover that on my TBR
For if and when you finish KimeyDiann. I really... enjoyed is the wrong word, but appreciated the book. Hope you stick with it.http://www.buzzfeed.com/doubleday/12-...
going to have to change my book got it confused with another with similar title. I do not have a copy of Quite a Year for Plumsand the kindle edition is too dear
going to try What She Left Behind will fit historical
Wow, team! We're smoking hot divas!!I have 6hr, 18 minutes left on my audiobook and my drive today is 6 hours. So, I'm pretty confident I will get it finished. That will be book 5.
Book 6 is a fast read - no plot - and I'm at 50%. It's going to be a hit or miss whether I finish it or not. I could read all night, but my parents are going to want to drag me to A & W tomorrow morning for breakfast. Heaven forbid if you are not there right at 8:00! Can't you just see me sitting at a table tomorrow morning with all those octogenarians trying to finish erotica? That's just one kind of hell I'm not prepared for.
