EDITING BUG!!! And other bugs!

I don't like that idea. If I start listening to the audiobook and I hate the narrator and continue with the written book, I'll rate it down. If I like it after finishing reading I'll rate that edition accordingly. (if it ends up with the same rating I only do one) I rate the audiobook as a combination of story & narration. I tend ignore anything GR tells me and do what I want 😆

No idea, Clare.

It's a hassle, but I increase the page magnification on my BROWSER. Chrome is the easiest to change. The other browsers (Opera, Firefox, etc.) usually let you make the change in "settings."
It makes a big (oh, pun) difference on my library websites too.

Is your goodreads search down?
It's back. I guess they figured 15 minutes was the limit of our patience.
NOPE, now it says feature disabled.

I was referring to the font change but, yes, the search is broken again.

When I am in my account and try to edit a review I have posted (simply left a 'review to follow' review at first), the book shows as being '..."
Experiencing this problem precisely at present, and it is quite frustrating. For myself I don't care that much, but when we participate in Aussie Readers challenges, being accurate is important. I guess the moderators will just have to trust us cos we can't trust Goodreads!!

Oh that’s a shame - I thought they’d quietly abandoned it ☹️

I held hope they might abandon them after they reverted me back to the old book pages late last year.
They will see less engagement and activity on the site - especially reviews. I'm convinced there was a drop-off last time.
I view Goodreads on four separate machines - a PC, a laptop, an iPad and my phone. Three of them changed to the new page ages ago and stayed with it. My trusty laptop changed today. It actually came up with a box which said that all the changeovers are now complete. I wanted to cry.
One thing that gets me - some of the book profiles don't show an ISBN/ASIN so I have to go into "Edit the book" and when I do, the ISBN/ASIN is there!!! So frustrating!
I've been using my phone with the old pages. I just looked after your final comment Phrynne, and it's gone to the new as well! There are no words!

I know a few words I could offer!!

eg. https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...
There used to be a link from the book page but now I can only go to it by editing my review

Yes, I just worked this out myself this afternoon! Rather than arrowing across to look at all the different editions, there will be a link that says something like ‘All Editions’ (I think it was underneath the images). If you click that link it takes you to the old list with the Switch buttons next to each one.

Yep, I've been enjoying the old version on my laptop all this time, and then today: oh no! My sorrow knows no bounds...

You can delete it if you wish Marianne. I also received two notifications for the same thread from you too!

I know I can, Brenda, I did with the other one, I just left this one to demonstrate...
And now the notifications have stopped! I haven't had one for a couple of hours, but on checking, people are still commenting :(

And now I can't even post a review.
It only comes up "finished" on my profile - no review, or anything else.
Beyond frustrating. They should just leave the site alone. It worked fine for me previously.

Hi Clare. I still can do it. See here:
https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...
The example you used was over 8000 editions.. but really that shouldn't make any difference.. Just thought I'd let you know I still can. Good luck!

The review is visible on the book page itself though (but nowhere else). Some people have commented on it - yet I haven't received any notification of this. Others have liked it - yet I also haven't been notified of that, nor have those likes been registered.
Bit frustrating!
No you won't get the notifications as they're down now :( Very frustrating! You just have to keep checking, which is how I'm finding comments!

So annoying Rowan! Even PMs aren't being notified. Just the fact that there was a "1" on the icon made me realise someone had emailed me.

They ate flooding in now, but as they're 5-6 hours old I've seen them all anyway. Hopefully they will be back to normal by morning.

It's pretty convoluted, and you have to say you want to review it, but then you can change the shelf the second edition. They do ask that we review but don't rate the second book, since they don't want double ratings from one reader - fair enough.
