Searching P. R. without the MC's being Shifters or Vampires

Thank you for the suggestions, and I am aware that many authors changed the mythology in their books. But that doesn't mean that I have to buy into it. I am honestly also a little sick of Vamps and Dogs, Wolves, and other furry creatures... I have the feeling that everything that came out recently is about walking Corpses and Shapeshifting Alphas. And I am honestly just sick of anything that merely touches the topic :D
If someone wrote a book that was entirely about sending Werewolves and Vamps to their graves I would happily read it and applaud every time one is offed.
There are so many supernatural creatures and I just need something that's not fur... or dead... and I will be happy!
Plenty of options around -Darynda Jones Charley Davidson series has the lead as a Grim Reaper and the Hero - a Demon.
Lisa Shearin has a terrific series all about magic and elves (sexy ones) start with Magic Lost, Trouble Found
Jane Cousins Southern Sanctuary series is hot and very funny. Most everyone has magic, there are Gods/Goddesses and a manipulative matchmaker pulling everyone's strings (but not a shifter or vamp in sight among the MC's) Start with To Woo A Warrior
Benedict Jacka Alex Versus series is all about competing factions of dark and light wizards and our Hero is stuck in the middle
Switch it up and go a little sci-fi - thin you'll like Gini Koch following her smart, capable, funny lead Kitty. Start with Touched by an Alien
Hope one, if not all of these, hit the spot.
I actually love vamps and shifters (shifters are my fav and there is no bestiality involved as they only have sex in human form in the ones I read!), but I totally understand the fatigue as it is hard to find UF/PNR without them. However, here are some that I've read that are vamp and shifter free, some are romance heavy and some only have a smidgen;
completed 9 book series with a few offshoots
consider completed 4.5 book series
novella duology book 2 out this month
completed trilogy
completed NA trilogy
completed YA trilogystandalones
Alt-hist YA
time travel
steampunk alt-history UF
SL is a top 5 for me because of her shifters, but this is not in her shifter worldMy five star standalone picks
there is a shifter character but it is a tiny part of the narrative
On my TBR's
ditto re SL, completed trilogy
completed YA trilogy
ongoing series
completed trilogy
6 book series
Alexa wrote: "I understand completely. Best I can offer in Romance is Kresley Cole or Kim Harrison..."both of these feature vampires and/or shifters heavily...
If you are OK with mature heroine - 40ish Suddenly Psychic is a great read. Slower pace allows the story to reveal with little Telling, and the characters have depth. I am waiting for book 3 in the trilogy, loved books 1 & 2.
A solid UF series without werewolves and vamps is
Burn for Me. A world made up of a class system of magical families. Ilona Andrews rocks. You can’t go wrong. Also, Nix Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark series. Even though all the books can be read alone, the majority consists of Vampires and Werewolves.
Now her Arcana Chronicles
Poison Princess is better suited for your requested recommendation. It genius and completely evolving Without a werewolf or vampire in sight. What starts out as a teen angsty cheerleader story evolves by chapter 13 into a dystopia, paranormal, fantasy. A few chapters more and the book agains evolves into an Romance/Urban fantasy so by the end of the first book, it’s completely a different book from the one you started with. You just have to get passed that angsty stuff in the beginning. After that, with excellent world building and action scenes you’ll soak up the story without even knowing it. It’s like that snowball effect people talk about.
You may want to give Eve Langlais’ series, “Welcome to Hell”, a try. It’s a hilarious take on what Hell is like. Though, everyone is obviously already dead, so I’m not sure if that is your concept of necrophilia or not. It’s still worth a look. Try the sample pages first.
A Demon and His Witch
A Demon and His Psycho
A Demon and Her Scot To name just a few books in the series. The series is currently at 8 books with the 9th on its way.
*Update* book 4‘S
Hell's Kitty does happen to have a Hell kitty and a woman who isn’t a siren nor a mermaid. - no ones sure what she is. But luckily, these books can be read alone and so you can skip over the whole book and not really ruin the whole series. Also, she’s got a crazy, and hot, AlIen Abduction series,
Accidental Abduction. But I'm not sure how alien and human falls into your hard no’s.
Suzanne Wright has a Dark in you series
Burn. It’s based on demons and is UF. I want to mention though that book 5 is about a demon hellcat and a demon hellhound. That’s the only one that might be a problem with your inquiry. But the first four aren’t and truthfully you don’t have to read book 5 if it bothers you too much. Book six,
Omens gets back to demon MC’s.
Jennifer Armentrout has, “A Wicked” trilogy.
Wicked. It deals with only Fae MCs and characters. It spins off for another three books
The Prince with a different MC couple. Still all Fae though. She has another series, “The Dark Elements”, that deals with mostly demons and gargoyles
White Hot Kiss. She has a couple more series, I haven't read them, that might be suited to your inquiry. You’ll have to see if those fit.
Also, reminder, “Alpha” doesn’t necessarily refer to a werewolf story. It could be related to a person on top of the preverbal food chain as an Omega would be at the lower class. A hierarchy system. They don’t necessarily change into an animal... Just thought I’d put that out there.
One last one Eve Langlais also has, “The Deviant Future“ series. It’s a dystopia UF with characters that can do stuff (superpowers? Magic?) due to a mutated gene, set in the far distant future. It kind of falls in the Sci-fi genre with dystopian and paranormal overtures. But read the sample pages before deciding on any of my suggestions. But I STRONGLY and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ilona Andrews ”Burn for Me” series. It’s perfect for your inquiry (see my first recommendation above).
If you like more YA PNM/UF without vampires and shifters you might enjoy the •Premonition series (angels) by Amy A Bartol
•Significance series (powerful beings? But not shifters) by Shelly Crane
•Half-Blood (Covenant Series-demigods) by Jennifer L Armentrout
If you want low-heat, quirky fun, try several of the Nocturne Falls books by Kristen Painter.
It's a town where all kinds of supernaturals live, so while some books will have vampire or shifter mc's, others will be witches or other paranormal types. There are also a bunch of books in the Nocturne Falls Universe, where Painter opened the world to other authors.

And here comes the twist:
-Excluded are books with Shifters as MCs - because I can't help but think of it being bestiality...
-Excluded are also books with Vampires - because that's necrophilia...
Do those books exist?
