I would read Hellsing 1 before buying the rest.
The story is quite meh. Personally after reading the first Hellsing deluxe I resold it and decided not to pursue...
Berserk and blade of the immortal are however quite great..

I enjoyed Punisher Max. It's very dark but fun as an alternate Marvel world type story.

Bersker is still pretty interesting through the volumes I've read through with the Deluxe hardcovers.

Blade of the Immortal was also good. I didn't enjoy Hellsing as much as I hoped I would.

I read and enjoyed the first few volumes of Spy Family. Promised Neverland was also very enjoyable (and it's a complete story).

Dark Horse announced a CyberPunk 2077 Library Editon volume 1 hardcover. Contains issues CyberPunk 2077: Trauma Tea, 1-4, CyberPunk 2077: You Have My Word 1-4, and CyberPunk 2077: Blackout 1-4 plus a cover gallery and sketch section.

Hadn't read any of this content. Anyone have any comments on if it's any good? :)

I’m glad you brought that up. Has anyone read both the Johns GL run and the Tomasi run ? Can someone give me an idea if Tomasi’s was as good or better? I really liked Johns’ run but don’t want to invest the time or money if it’s not at least that good.

Johns run on Green Lantern might be my favorite thing he's ever done.

I think Green Lantern Corps got a lot of positive press and people have been asking for an omnibus collecting it for years.

Tomasi&Gleason Green Lantern Corps. run was coming out at the same time by Geoff Johns Green Lantern run. GLC run had tie ins to Geoff GL Run events and stuff and it was as good as Geoff Johns GL run. People just want to read both of the runs since they are so close to each other. They want to get the bigger picture about Green Laterns.

DCBS has done a couple cancellations with a “will resolicit” comment.

In the past I didn’t care, but recently I’ve found the cancellation and then resolicit at a higher price. On principle, I won’t reorder under those circumstances.

I also double dipped and have the Guardians of the Galaxy omni cause I found it for cheap

Congrats! That's a fun era and I enjoyed those stories. I also ended up double dipping with a Guardians of the Galaxy omnibus copy.

I've been trying to limit myself in omnibus purchases a bit more. I have too many books I thought I would read that have been in my too-read stack far too long without being read. And with prices increasing I've cut back on stuff from the big 2. Despite this, I did order the first few volumes of Terry and the Pirates Master Collection hardcovers. They are the opposite of cheap! We'll see how they read. =)


I recently enjoyed Ascender - the sequel to Lemire's Decsender story. It wasn't better but it felt like a good contiuation to the story.

I am finishing Deluxe volume 13 of Beserk. There are two more paperback volumes they can roll into a hardcover (the hardcovers usually include two paperback volumes worth of content). We'll see how they choose to collect the final content by the original author.

DCBS has updated their site with a new month's worth of books up for order.

There are a couple Brunaker Captain America omnibus reprints up for order. Marvel has the new Star Wars High Republic comics collected in a volume one omnibus up for order.

Dark Horse has a small hardcover omnibus of Lobster Johnson vol 2 available (I can't remember if I ordered volume 1).

DC has the Tomasi Batman omnibus up for order. I need to check if I have this content already.

I ordered the next TPB volume of Frieren. Probably my favorite ongoing manga.

I have all the Terry and the Pirates volumes from IDW/Library of American Comics (or whatever) and although it starts off a tad slow it doesn't take long to get into some good action.

I also have all the Steve Canyon volumes but the last one (or the next one) is supposed to be the last volume issued which means 18 years or so will not be collected in this format. Very disappointing.

I'm also cutting back. Limiting my omnibus purchases to classic Gold, Silver, and Bronze Age eras, but keeping up with HCs/TPBs of some current DC and Marvel series. Feels like DC is having a bit of a mini-renaissance at the moment (although it never lasts long), but only the Xmen titles and Zdarsky's Daredevil series is keeping my attention at Marvel. I enjoyed Slott's FF a lot but not committed to taking in the new creative team.

Is it really that good ? I tried a Deadpool&Cable title so many years ago and didn't like it. It was super boring... So i am really hasitant about getting anything Deadpool.

I thought Deadpool & Cable was really good...definitely not for everyone. Being a big fan of Deadpool, I would admit my opinion is most likely biased. If you are looking for a good starting point for Deadpool, Way's run of Deadpool for really wacky or Duggan/Posehn run for a bit of everything

I’ve been supporting kickstarter campaigns for the past couple years. The new Megalith campaign has me officially backing away from these campaigns. To get the HC book, you have to pooled into a couple issues and some other add one.

These campaigns have been a means to gouge fans rather than get a book off the runway. I’m going back to waiting for the cheaper release on DCBS or IST as I’ve seen the book there for 30% less than the KS Campaign. To get megalith HC, will cost $125 on KS . . . I’m sure it will be nearly $45-$50 on DCBS after wide release. Kindt is my favorite writer currently; I’m disappointed.
