If you go to booksonboard.com they have a great selection and they're almost always cheaper then anywhere else plus you can get rewards back to go towards buying new books. Or you can look at allromanceebooks.com or fictionwise.com I know that they will also probably have them. Fictionwise is also usually pretty inexpensive!
hope that helps..
p.s
look at books on board first, then fictionwise, then all romance ebooks!

5 stars, baby! I actually wanted to give it 4,5 stars but since everyone seems to be hating Phury so much, I'm giving it 5. Pooh! "
Mel, I also liked this better than most, but I wasn't quite as generous as you were. My upset was for Phury. After spending his whole life looking for/looking after his brother, I just thought he deserved more than he got in his own book. Ward did somewhat make up for it by that scene at the end between the brothers - what an aria that would make!
Mel wrote: "I loved this book right up till the last bit in which Ward got all Disney and sappy. Why does she always feel the need to do that?"Was that the part with Z singing? If so, I'm LOLing at the Disney reference, now I'm picturing Z singing with little bluebirds up & down his arms. I agree, there's times when I'm reading her books where there is a particularly gooey bit of cheese and I just tell myself I didn't see that--"move along, nothing to see here."
I liked that he sang for Phury because that's one of the things Phury talked about the whole book, I just wish it was more like when he sang for the others, more personal less showy.
Josie wrote: "book depository is only the first stepthe second step is to get you using an electronic reader!"
But then I wouldn't get to wander in bookstores or that new book smell that I love :)
Sister mine, you read German too? And yay: I'm looking forward to get to know Xhex in LAv. Bj Rose, I'm totally with you, Phury deserved so much more than he got.
*Spoiler alert*
I'm still mad that Phury is off somewhere babysitting the Chosen while his brothers get to fight. And I still think they gave Z way more slack than they did Phury. Z was a homicidal maniac. The brothers thought he wanted to kill Wrath and was killing hookers to feed for crying out loud! (Thanks to Tara for the reminder :)) And did they send him away? Nooho! Cause Phury was looking out for him.
And no: it wasn't the aria I found cheesy. On the contrary: that was beautiful! Very fitting and just what Phury needed.
The part that I found a little cheesy was the last bit on the Other Side where Phury found his new destiny. And the fact that he and Cormia take in the Chosen and Cormia suddenly is an architect and they're together allllll the time except for his NA meeting and she wakes up with his little big friend poking her in the back every evening. It was just a little bit too much.
It was no where near the overly sappy ending of Story of Son though. That topped my list of cheesy...
I guess I just have a hard time picturing Z singing. Feels goofy to me. :)And Z wasn't killing hookers, was he? Feeding off them I remember, and then doing the little vamp version of the memory stick from Men in Black.
No he wasn't. But up till Lover Awakened everybody suspected he did. And I agree, I do have a hard time picturing a big scary guy in leathers hitting the high notes...
LOL, no, I don't read a word of German which is why I find the books hilarious (I flip through and look for names so I can guess what's going on). ;)**** SPOILERS ****
The Brothers turning on Phury was my one issue with the book, for the exact reason you state. Z was completely unstable, Wrath was an ass and V was suicidal before they met their mates, but the other Brothers always supported them. So, for them to turn on Phury, was devastating. However, martyr Phury was also driving me batty.

Just finished Fire Study, the final installment in the Study series trilogy by Maria V. Snyder. It was not my favorite of the series, but I still enjoyed it and love her writing.
Not looking good at all that I'll finish this challenge, but I will probably get one more book in.

Oh, c'mon guys. Men are a little more complex than that, give them some credit. LOL. A guy can't sing because he wears leather?
And he's covered in tattoos and he's anti-social and even his best friends are afraid of him, but damn, he can sure bust out an aria. ;)Fictional men are a little more complex than that, but real men, eh, not so much. LOL.
DarkHeart wrote: "So, for them to turn on Phury, was devastating. "Yes.
DarkHeart wrote: "However, martyr Phury was also driving me batty."
HELL yes.
Laura wrote: "And Z wasn't killing hookers, was he? They all though he was violent towards the females, sex and feeding in the allies to get off. Z even called to tell Wrath about the Havers thing, and Wrath thought Phury got him to confess and yelled at Phury for it. Wrath sort of held Phury responsible for Z, but not the other way around. Seems a little unfair.
And actually I thought Rhage liked to eat his enemies! :-P
Z singing is sweet, the scenario was cheesy, imo.
Z singing is sweet, the scenario was cheesy, imo."Yes, Z singing to Nala or even Bella is sweet, Z emerging from the woods singing opera to his brother with all his leather wearing bad ass friends standing around, kinda weird.

You are not the only one waiting for Dance of Dragons. I absolutely love this series and heard a reading of a bit of DoD, and now I am back to waiting. He was supposed to have finished it last year, but on his blog, he is still writing. Ugh. Love little Arya.

He was supposed to have finished it last year, but on his blog, he is still writing. Ugh. Love little Arya.Ugh. That man better not pull a Robert Jordan. And it's not like he's going to wrap up the series with A Dance with Dragons anyway, considering it's going to be taking place at the same time at A Feast for Crows did. And why did he do that? I was so aggravated when I got to the end of #4 and saw that #5 would be the same time frame but different characters. Why split the book that way? Why not just cut it in half time wise instead of PoV wise? Ugh. That man. I tell ya, if I wasn't so completely in love with the books I wouldn't care so much. :)
Anywho...my faves are Arya too, and also Jamie, Tyrion & Jon. I love that Jamie is one of my faves when I HATED him earlier in the series.
Laura wrote: "Heather wrote: "You are not the only one waiting for Dance of Dragons. I absolutely love this series and heard a reading of a bit of DoD, and now I am back to waiting. He was supposed to have finis..."He has so many necessary characters. Plus, he gets you in love with the characters and then just kills them. It is like you never know if your emotional connection with someone is worth it (tried to make this as general statement as possible for those out there that may want to read these).
Jamie has really come up on my list of faves. Also a fan of Bran and Jon, but they didn't have me saying the lines like Arya's 'quiet as a cat, quick as a snake' lines.
From the reading I was at, it will totally be worth it. I listen to Jon's side of a conversation between him and Samwell.
All I can say, though, is that when this book comes out, I am not re-reading the other books again. I already did that once.

Lol. How ugly is that Trouble with Magic cover? Inter-library loan sent me the large print edition. What, people with poor eyesight don't merit pretty artwork?
Michelle M. wrote: "What, people with poor eyesight don't merit pretty artwork?"For some reason the LP artwork is almost always hideous, unless the book is a huge bestseller. I don't understand why they bother to change it at all. I guess it's so people can differentiate between the two versions, but wouldn't the larger print be a bigger tip-off?
Looking at Club Dead's made me laugh. Wow, that is bad. The others are just...zero effort. Even I could make those with my limited In Design skills! Maybe it's about rights to the cover art? They're generally not published by the same house as the regular version, I believe?
Regardless, horrid!
MARTINA'S FINAL UPDATE: 7 COMPLETEDSadly, I'm not going to finish this month. I'm just too busy trying to figure out this motherhood gig. :-) I'm just going to have fun today and will start reading for Nov's challenge at midnight. :-)

9/9Woohoo, all done! Of course, Lover Revealed was awesome, it's BDB. Unfortunately though, there was about 30 minutes of dead air during Butch's transition. Thankfully I've read the book before, but I'll have to try and download the file again and alert audible if it's broken (this happened with DL when it was first released as well).

I switched out my pink book as well, so I could use something I'd read earlier this month - I knew I wouldn't get to the one I'd listed. I made so many changes in this month's challenges, I probably should just list as I go - but choosing books to fit is part of the fun for me!
My list for the October challenge is as follows, of course, it is subject to change:My final count as of today 10/31/09:

LOL, do I? Lemme check... Oh right, that's just because I have multiple copies (US book club hardbacks, UK paperbacks and audio books - okay, I was also given some German copies last Christmas, but I haven't added them LOL). And sister mine, you are so right about Qhuinn/Blay. ;) And Xhex is awesome!
